DESCRIPTION

A somewhat crude, hand-created blade, Neryn is rarely seen without this weapon present. Though used as a knife, this weapon in truth straddles the line into a shortsword. It is light, handy in close quarters, and very beloved by its creator. Its name translates roughly to "to empty" in the tongue of the ancient Sith.

Given Neryn's propensity to live life on the wing, this compact nature and low weight are ideal. Despite its unprepossessing appearance, it is deceptively lethal, often used in ways as cruel as they are gruesome. Short and single-edged, the blade is often used in close-range slicing motions, where it can pare flesh from bone with distressing ease.

Being an alchemically-enhanced (if unrefined) Sith blade, the weapon possesses at least a few nasty tricks.

The first, and clearest, is durability. Despite its clear evidence of handcrafting, the dagger is supernaturally resilient against harm, capable of absorbing lightsaber blows and weapons fire with ease. Likewise, it never loses its razor-keen edge.

The second, and less obvious until it is used, is the weapon's tendency to cause outsizedly-ugly wounds. Cuts caused by this weapon typically bleed profusely, even shallow ones, resulting in a quick, hit-and-run fighting style designed to gradually wear foes down.

Overall, this is the weapon of a madman, designed more to create messy spectacle than end a fight quickly. Nonetheless, it is a capable (if amateur) attempt at creating a Sith sword.
