BIOGRAPHY:
The dashing man that became known as Keziah Azadi was born on the Outer Rim world of Lothal, home to famous individuals like Ezra Bridger and Arihnda Pryce. Yet, he was born as Keziah Jaxx, a simple street rat from the slums in Lothal’s Capital City. He grew up in squalor, in a situation where usually had to steal just to eat every day. His father was a meager mechanic. His mother often did odd jobs around the city where she could, but primarily chose to raise her son as well as she could.
There were often times where the household was tumultuous. Arguments and raised voices. Keziah’s streak for trouble did not help. The only thing that got him through his days was his mother. She would tell him tales of the heroes of Lothal, especially of Ryder Azadi. She would always say that he was their ancestor, but Keziah was unsure of the validity of her stories.
This small happiness would come to an end when Keziah was 16. While he was out working one of his cons, and his father at work - his mother was mugged, resulting in her being shot. The one light in Keziah's life, snuffed out. Relations with his father deteriorated until one day, Keziah ran away from home.
He started off as a bookie for a small-time crime lord. As the years passed, Keziah rose up from nobody to a semi-infamous smuggler. He took the name "Azadi", and one himself a freighter in a game of dice. Many years later, the Sith Empire came and placed its command over Lothal. Despite bitter memories, Keziah still held its people in his heart. So, when heard of the Free Worlds Armada, he decided to offer up his skills as a smuggler and underworld informant to their use to be an overall pain to Sith tyranny.
However, the FWA did not pan out like he thought it would. In the years since, he returned to smuggling. Yet, ever the freedom-fighter at heart, he has occasionally offered his services to rebel forces across the Galaxy to fight against oppressive governments like the Sith Empire and the First Order.
TRAITS:
[+] Gunslinger: Having been introduced to the harsh realities of the Outer Rim, Keziah made it his business to become good at shooting. While not preternaturally quick, Keziah is faster at the draw than some others. Thus, he’s usually a good person to have at your side in a firefight.
[+] Silver-Tongue: Keziah has a very charismatic personality, and usually tries to give a good impression with everyone he meets. He knows fragments of different languages so that he can ease people into conversation. He tends to use his way with words to help himself and his allies, be they words of diplomacy, or words to delay threats.
[~]Fights Dirty: Keziah found his roots in the Outer Rim’s smuggling and criminal enterprises. With the territory comes the need to survive by any means. Thus, he is willing to fight dirty, or cheat his way if it ensures victory or survival for his side. This will put him at odds with allies who have strong beliefs in a fair fight, or doing things “by the book”.
[-] Gambler: Keziah has an addiction to games of chance, and playing cards. While his smuggling days have usually been able to pay off debts, the struggle is still there. He is trying to cut back on gambling so much, and simply enjoy the games as they are.
[-] Rebel at Heart: Having seen his homeworld fall twice during his lifetime to oppressive governments, Keziah is leery of becoming anything more than a loose ally to any big government or organization. He will openly point out oppression and actively help out dissidents if he sees it as the right move. This has definitely not made him popular in certain circles.
