GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Kevn iv tave Tauta, Fist of the People, Wonosan Militia
  • Affiliation: Order of Wonosa, Darth Strosius
  • Classification: Militia
  • Description: The militia forces loyal to the Order of Wonosa are as varied as the worlds and populations that they hail from, being comprised of a wide number of species from across the Outer Rim and Wild Space. When not blending in with the local populace they adorn various pieces of Kerstas Legionnaire Armor or sometimes entire suits of it, often donning armbands featuring the Order of Wonosa's icon or Sith script scrawled across some other parts of their clothing. When not wearing proper armor from their cult they do make use of whatever more commonly found bits of armor they can scavenge or steal, but typically these are painted black and red or otherwise modified to be more similar to Legionnaire Armor. Generally the Kevn are comprised of downtrodden and revolutionary minded individuals, stoked into their daring feats even in spite of their limited equipment by promises of a brighter future and liberation via the Order of Wonosa. When not coordinated by a proper command structure they act as guerilla forces, making hit and run assaults against exposed targets and assassinating those within the local government or military hierarchy. They are typically hardy, desperate, and grimly determined.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Large
  • Unit Availability: Common
  • Unit Experience: Rabble
  • Equipment:
  • Combat Function: The Kevn rarely make open battle, instead using ambush tactics and limited skirmish engagements to wear down their foes over a longer stretch of time. They have no qualms with retreating from one fight just to emerge across a city or in some other place where their presence would be more dangerous to whomever they face off against. Using terrain and local knowledge of areas to their advantageous they are an elusive foe, able to blend into local populations without much issue and just as easily able to sprout forth from any crowd or mob in a fury of blaster bolts and yelled praises to the Sith. When they do strike they do so in surprising numbers and from various angles in order to give the impression of a massive force, causing confusion via grenades and simple trickery in order to shield their true numbers and objective. Typically the Kevn rarely interact with other forces but when they do find themselves with allies they act as skirmishing and scouting units, putting themselves deep behind enemy lines to support larger efforts using their civilian guises as cover.
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
Strengths:
  • The Endless Masses: There is no shortage of downtrodden peoples from which the Kevn can be sourced from, any that are susceptible to the words of Wonosa or simply dislike their local authorities can be inducted into the ranks of the militia and outfitted suitably enough. Various cells can exist all at once without any real connection to one another, their decentralized nature making them exceptionally hard to route out and so long as a single dedicated recruiter still lives their presence on any given world is essentially secured.
  • Backcountry and Backalley: With most of the Kevn being recruited from locals or at least informed by locals, they often possess knowledge of lesser traveled and known routes which allows them to evade larger forces and make surprising attacks. They can establish outposts and safehouses almost anywhere in a civilian environment and are more than capable of hiding out and biding their time for the best moment to strike.
Weaknesses:
  • The Untrained Masses: Unless a cell has been in operation for some time, the Kevn more than likely will be little more than undisciplined and untrained citizens with decent weapons. They rely on numbers and trickery as well as tactics from experienced leadership to be effective but these are all fragile things and they can very easily be routed from any attack they make so long as their foes can stand their ground.
  • Desperate and Disparate: Given the rather lax recruitment methods of the Kevn they will often be comprised of less than ideal warriors. Their ranks will typically consist of very poor and disenfranchised individuals who could have any number of physical ailments which will inhibit combat capability. This is without mentioning that it is not at all uncommon for those that simply dislike the existing authority for one reason or another will find their way into their ranks, without any loyalty to the Order of Wonosa or their ideology. This can easily make for conflict and disloyalty within their cells and will naturally result in division should they ever gain control of any territory.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Throughout their history the Order of Wonosa had often empowered the impoverished of various worlds and populations across the Rim and Wild Space into acts of revolt against their betters and authorities. In the past these militia forces were fairly localized and under direct supervision of the Wonosan military, often being inducted into their ranks properly as soon as possible. However between their most recent expansion attempt and the broadened reach of their Xinklas feed, more and more populations have been inspired by the words of Wonosa and have sought revolutions of their own.

To this end a more dedicated arm of the military was created to better facilitate these burgeoning groups and forces, the Kevn iv tave Tauta which translates to "Fist of the People" is their effort in coordinating and supplying disparate militia and revolutionary forces across the galaxy which seek to raise the Wonosan banner over their own worlds. The cells and rabble which comprise the Kevn can essentially come from anywhere, from any populace that hears of Wonosa and wishes to emulate them or join them outright but are unable or unwilling to leave their worlds for whatever reason.

The Order does their best to supply these groups the moment they hear of them and will of course already plan to do so for those that they intentionally cultivate, often sending priests and soldiers of their own to teach the Kevn how to wage war and inspire their neighbors into revolting alongside them. They spread like a plague, from one planted Wonosan agent or one inspired group sprouts new cells of downtrodden and idealistic militia forces which in turn will inspire more people to their banner and so on and so forth. Ideally the Kevn will pave the way for a proper Wonosa invasion or foothold to be established but for many this is an uphill battle that they shall never see the end of.
