Keter-class ballistic fiber is woven specifically to dampen the effect of kinetic agitation, reducing not only damage to the fabric itself but to the soft tissue of the wearer as well; Shock from kinetic force is absorbed by the fabric and equally distributed among the fiber structure, relieving the body from serious damage..
- Blaster Fire. What Keter-class ballistic fiber lacks is dedicated energy buffers. While grazing shots and peripheral damage from blaster fire can be mitigated easily enough, direct blasts from an energy or blaster-type weapon can damage the fabric.
- Lightsaber Blows. Keter-class ballistic fiber is in no shape or form intended to dampen energy from lightsabers.
