- Beskar - One of the strongest materials in the galaxy, Mandalorian Iron or Beskar is one of the primary materials used in the armour. Protecting Kes' head and torso, the material is able to deflect blaster bolts, resistant to lightsabers and provides great protection against most conventional infantry weaponry.
- Mandalorian Vambraces - The armour is fitted with Mandalorian vambraces meaning Kes is never unarmed. From the wrist mounted blaster to the flame projector the right wrist gauntlet houses weaponry able to be used at any time in the fight. On his left arm the gauntlet is equipped with a grappling line and G1 Omnilink, which is highly versatile communications and computing device
- Medium Armour - The majority of Kes' Beskar is concentrated in his upper body with the rest of his armour consisting of a few durasteel plates and in many places, a vac-suit. This leaves his arms and lower body exposed in firefights and are prime targets for an enemy to take aim at.
- Electronics - Kes' beskargam is fitted with a wide range of electronics which assist him in battle and has no resistance to Ion bolts or an EMP. A few well placed ion shots could easily disable the suits devices, putting Kes at a disadvantage against his opponent.
Like all Mandalorians, when Kes came of age he was given his own armour, consisting almost entirely of what was left of his father's beskar'gam. Initially just a helmet and chestplate, Kes built up his armour as his life went on. Amongst the scum and villainy of the Nar Shaada underworld he learned the importance of holdout weapons and so he added his right gauntlet, covered in as many weapons as it could hold. When he began taking up bounty hunting, he claimed a G1 Omnilink off a dead bounty, incorporating it with his armour to assist him on hunts and with everyday matters. Soon after that came the utility belt and after surviving for so long in the underworld along came the durasteel plates in order to protect himself further. With his return to Mandalorian society Kes made his final addition to the armour, a jetpack which he trained heavily in order to use. Today Kes wears his armour proudly, an homage to all he has done in life, from his Mandalorian background to life growing up in the underworld. Like other mandalorians he sees the armour as an extension of himself and a second skin, rarely ever wearing anything else.
