SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Micro Isotope-5A reactor in the suits give them the ability to have a long term sustainable power source that is extremely well protected against outside forms of meddling. This makes these reactors extremely reliable, even for longer term missions where these suits might be used by personnel who are in the field for months or possibly even years at a time.
  • CMAS in the underlay gives the suit exceptional strength, being tied in to the wearer to allow for the suit to give them much higher strength than standard organics. And with the myomer's ability to act as a lighter underlay combat armor, this offers significant protections from many battlefield threats that are normally present but not covered by standard infantry armor.
  • Phrik-A/Duraplast Composite Plating is extremely light and capable against both blasters and kinetic based weapons, making even disruptor rounds survivable (doesn't change that it's going to feel like you got hit by a bus), and offers a much more affordable yet effective protection and coverage of major vital areas.
  • Wind-Talker Class Comm Array allows for the user to have a second display for all of the data feeding into their HUD, and even transmit that data with extreme bandwidth capabilities to nearly any other type of operator wearing a similar comm system or a comm system designed to interface with it. And it is capable of doing this with an extreme level of security, giving soldiers on the ground peace of mind that their comms are only being monitored by the right people.
  • Minerva HUD System offers a premium package to the battlefield soldier on information gathering and display to allow for as much information to be gathered by each soldier as possible. This covers a wide variety of fields and allows for each soldier to gather, process and then act on a more complete battlefield picture as they are able to remove possible variables from every environment.
  • FM-003, FM-002, and FM-001 offers a complete widespread protection package that is well rounded against most if not all threats. This allows for less stress to be placed on the soldier as they no longer have to worry about if their armor will survive in the environment, meaning they can focus on what they need to, killing the enemy.
  • Loudspeaker and Microphone system allows for the soldier to speak through the helmet clearly and concisely, and even offers the ability to translate into most common languages across the galaxy, both for speaking and for the soldier to have what's being spoken to them translated.
STRENGTHS
  • Well Rounded Combat Armor: This combat armor is meant to be a jack of all trades, master of none style of armor. It has good all around protection against most threats and while it's not as heavy on the protection side as other more durable armors, this offers a good balance. This means that if the electronic systems on the armor fail, the soldier won't be suddenly trapped in an immobile set of armor, meaning that regardless, they can fight.
  • It's Power Armor: This armor is powered by an Micro Isotope-5A Reactor that offers extremely reliable power to the Combat Myomer Activation System that allows for the suit to move. This means that this suit gives its wearer considerably higher strength, speed and agility than standard organic combatants. And while this armor isn't infallible, it is certainly something the users could use to gain an advantage in a fight, as when worn and calibrated properly, this armor feels essentially weightless.
  • It's Force Dead: Yeah, so uh, this armor utilizes Synthetic Yorik Coral which is naturally Force Dead. And while this doesn't make the area around this armor force dead, you can't actually interact with the armor through the force unless you damage it first. And even then, good luck.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightsabers: Uhm yeah, lightsabers. Sure the plates on this thing have lightsaber resistant materials, but the particular one that would be useful isn't present in enough mass to actually matter. So don't get hit by them. Like seriously.
  • Protection coverages not complete: So if you look at the above picture, you'll notice there are plenty of gaps to get through the outer layer of armor. That's because this armor uses plates and soft armor to give a more well balanced style of armor that doesn't weigh the wearer down too much while offering as much protection as possible. This means that if you're shooting at this, don't be a dunce and just unload into it, take a second, breath, and fire a well placed shot where the gaps exist. Or you know, just see weakness one if you're one of them space wizards.
  • Clone Armor: This armor is meant for the KDF which is comprised primarily of clones. That means if you aren't a clone, this will not fit well or particularly operate effectively as it is designed from the ground up to take advantage of clone physiology.
DESCRIPTION
Following the debut of The Dire Wolves Generation 3 Armor System, Teac Sadru (the prime minister and chief scientist of the planet Kamino) would immediately contact Freebirds Industries with an offer. They wanted an armor system like that for their own Defense Forces, deciding to get their own specialized armor since unlike other CIS/CDF forces they primarily utilized cloned soldiers. This made designing an armor for the system's forces much easier than with standard combat armors because with clones you can make each armor piece almost identical to the next, streamlining production and allowing for maximum output efficiency to make this armor much more readily accessible. This armor system would be a little bit heavier than standard combat armor, would feature many of the systems that Freebirds Industries felt made the Generation 3 Armor System perform well and stand out among its competition, while also allowing for the armor itself to be much more affordable and efficient than the Generation 3 Armor systems. This balance of protection, mobility, and price makes this armor the perfect choice for the KDF troops so that way they can have a readily available supply of good protection with all of the required maintenance materials ready and waiting as the production roll out of this armor system was that streamlined.
