Kashyyyk Rendevous

This took Reggie aback, especially since Maul was no doubt cut in half. He made a mental note that he needed to do a lot more research in his free time. He looking into Revan and Meetra too much. If he wasn't, then he may have found out about these things.

"I didn't know that either! How did he survive being cut in two?"

Reggie didn't know how a person could be fueled by anger and hatred. There have been people in history who have gained immortality because of their hatred and pain, but how can someone live like that? What's the point of their immortality?

"A person fueled by hatred will only find pain in their life. At least, that's what I believe. why was he so angry when the only person he can blame is himself? Kenobi fought to defend himself and avenge his master, but what was Maul fighting for?"

Reggie was lost in thought, confused about why Maul would hold on only to fight a man that he had wronged

"And that is exactly what he found, though he had a little help from Nightsister witch conjuring for his legs, and eventually found his brother, Savage Opress, a monster of a Sith apprentice, thanks to enhancements made to him by witch conjuring as well, he even dueled against Sidious and put up a fight before being overwhelmed by Sidious's speed and quick thinking." "And Maul was fueled by hatred for Kenobi, the one who cut him in two."

Sidious was a monster of a force user, or so he heard, so it came to no surprise that the old dark side user overwhelmed Maul. The fact that a person can be blinded by the dark side is something that always troubled Reggie. Same thing with the light side. The light side can also blind a person, detaching them from the world and making choices "for the better" in their mind.

"It saddens me to hear that. It's my goal to talk my enemies down and show them the light, so being forced to fight them when I've tried my best will be a problem I will face in the future. Maul could have been much more than a man full of hatred."

"Yes, unfortunately he wasn't willing to listen, and it coast him everything except his own life, but his brother did not even survive, last I heard, he was in a fight with the crew of the Ghost back during the rule of the Galactic Civil War between the empire and the rebels, a little bit before the destruction of the first Death Star. Well anyway, why don't you tell me about yourself?"

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

"Hmm. There isn't much to know about me. I was born and raised on Tatooine until my master took me in, and have spent most of my time in Kashyyyk researching. I'm a man who prefers words over swords, which i'm sure you've found out already. My goal is to seek out whatever knowledge I can about the galaxy, especially dealing with the force, and use that knowledge to protect people."

"A very noble goal indeed, much like my own goal, I may be a soldier by birth, but I only fought droids for the most part, so I haven't really spilled blood, except when it was in self defense or in the defense of those around me, Umbara was a good example of that, especially when General Pong Krell went rogue and actively pitted two clone battalions against each other, telling each one that the other was a bunch of Umbarans disguised in clone armor, I was part of the force rallied to either capture and arrest him or bring him down permanently if we could not arrest him."

"But all that is...well...hundreds of years in the past, and it's time to look forward, but I won't forget the lessons of the past, as they say, keep one eye to the past and another to the future and be aware of the present."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

"Wise words indeed. The past is what we learn from, and the future is what we prepare for. Live in the present as we keep those two in mind. I have a lot heading for me in my future, I can feel it. I need to prepare for the days ahead, but also have to make sure I don't get ahead of the present."

Reggie was thinking about his trial before he acquired his lightsaber crystal, and the words his master told him. He was conflicted and worried, but also knew that he needed to save time to be a 18 year old man. Balancing duty and social life if important, and something he had to work on.

"Hmm, how about about I join you in the Silver Jedi order, that way you can come see me whenever you need as long as I am nearby, and I can act as a Master whenever you need advice, and your own master isn't able to help."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

"You would really join the Silver Jedi just like that? I accept your offer, but only if you truly want to join the Silver Jedi Order."

In truth, Reggie liked the idea of the trooper joining the SJO. He had knowledge about the clone wars, experiences, and skills that he could share with him. The commander would be a great asset to the SJO and a good friend to him and the others he'll meet.

"It would be beneficial to be anyway, I don't really have any ties to any of the existing orders since I was affiliated with the one that was destroyed by the Jedi Purge conducted by Palpatine's Galactic Empire, and I really could use a somewhat more solid home, especially considering I practically live on this Star Destroyer, a Jedi Temple wouldn't be a bad place to be around."

[member="Reggie Faayare"]

"Well then its settled! I look forward to learning more from you and working with you as fellow Silver Jedi! Of course, we'll have to go back to Kashyyyk to make it official, but that can wait. You'll like it there."

Reggie knew that the trooper would find a home with the SJO, and the people would surely enjoy his presence.

"And if you're worrying about needing a lift and it being a burden on me to wait, it isn't, I would much rather go back to Kashyyyk with you, you make the trip less dull, and it's nice to talk to someone besides a droid, which is what makes up this ship's crew, plus it might be nice to mess with some of those stormtroopers that the Empire has stationed on the planet, they couldn't hit a hangar blast door if they wanted to."

Reggie thought about this for a second. He didn't know how long he would take on Tatooine, but it may take awhile.

"I'm glad that i'm good company for you! though if you need to, don't be afraid to leave without me. I'll find a way if such a problem rises!"

"Alright, here's my com channel code if you need to contact me." he hands Reggie a slip of paper with a code on it and a wrist comlink. "We are still a few days off from Tatooine, so what do you want to do?"
