Description:
Designed after Chai La's Bev'kal, Davin Skirata with his meager knowledge of lightsaber construction fashioned a weapon suited for a beast rider. With a telescopic design throughout the blade, Davin is able to shift the length of the body of the lightsaber, making the weapon usable while in combat aboard a bes'uliik or other war beast. Also unique is the blade shape. With a more defined edge and flatter blade, similar to that of the darksaber. This was a complete accident on the part of construction however and has no benifit to the weapon itself. Being constructed from a bev'kal, the saber housing is mostly constructed from a beskar alloy, making it much heavier than most lightsabers. The weight could potentially throw off an enemy attempting to use the would be light weapon, but in the case of Davin whom trained with heavier beskade and other traditional Mandalorian weapons, the weight makes no difference.
This piece is personal to Davin. After his brother's death at the hands of the Dark Lord of the One Sith he retreated to Yavin IV to mourn alone. When he returned to Mandalore, he was given his brother's heart of fire which he received from their father after his own passing. It was given to their father by their Kiffar mother, also passed. Within the Heart of Fire that gives the lightsaber its red blade, is nearly a century's worth of history unique to the Skiratas of Mandalore. A family heirloom that now carves a path through the enemies of Mandalore.
