    RANK: Guild Leader

Kannic Vors is a Bounty Hunter. One who is determined, willful and unrelenting. His life has become the hunt, he relishes the opportunity to track and capture acquisition targets, and then uses the bounty reward to further enhance himself and his cybernetics.

Kannic is also a near-human that underwent catastrophic damage to his body, during a civil war on his home world, who was then patched back together by automated medical droids that didn't have his consent - he was basically dead, there wasn't any to be had really. The only reason Kannic has survived what he went through is his natural capacity for healing, which is much improved compared to baseline humans. Not much remains of the man, due to so much being damaged in an explosion; he has half a skull, his brain and a single eye, as well as the upper portion of his lungs, heart and some other organs in his torso. His arms and legs were removed because of severe damage, and replaced with heavy cybernetics and durasteel plating and synthskin. His torso was also reconstructed in the same way, but kept what remained of his internal organics in tact.

Why didn't the droids use bacta immersion? It was too expensive and limited on the planet.

For a long while, Kannic struggled to even live. His parts were substandard, the medical droids had done a real hack job, and regular infusions of bacta were needed to counteract the effects of basically a near-full body cybernetic conversion. It wasn't until his body was able to catch up, and maintain a more balanced level of healing-per-poisoning ratio, that Kannic was able to begin functioning as something more human. He took to small jobs, his strength and stamina increased despite the pain, and eventually stumbled into bounty hunting.

It turned out being a Bounty Hunter was one of the best things to happen to Kannic. Not only could be use his durable body to down acquisitions, but he was also able to earn handfuls of credits in lump sums. That allowed him to begin replacing his parts with better parts. And as the years continued, so too did Kannic begin to improve, as the old junker cybernetics were removed and replaced with more custom durasteel and components. And the cost of improving his parts isn't cheap, as Kannic has begun moving toward military-grade equipment.

Kannic is still heavy as hell, he has durasteel over - or through - 90% of his body, but he has a goal to eventually earn enough to convert that into songsteel or some other lighter alloy. Still, it's going to be expensive as all get out; but with his more recent promotion to Bounty Hunter Guild Leader, Kannic suspects he will get there.

    Eventually.

So why not just give up? Kannic is stubborn as hell.

  • Kannic appears as a regular human to most observers. He is slightly above-average height, he is physically fit, and looks to engage in regular exercise. Appearing in his late 30's to early 40's, he has tanned skin, dark hair (with gray coming through) and a battle-hardened face that shows scars and wrinkles. His right eye is his natural blue, whereas his left eye is a cybernetic replacement, which glows a dull red. Aside from Kannic's obvious facial cybernetic, which covers the left side of his face, he appears fairly typical; not too big or small, not too tall or short, just an average near-human making his way in the galaxy.

For clothing, Kannic uses a durable armorweave blue jumpsuit, easy to repair or replace. There is a number of nano-sealing seams across the clothing, usually around the joints and along his limbs. To the eye, they are a jumpsuit design, and suspicion otherwise shows true paranoia. Each nano-sealing section is capable of tearing away from the jumpsuit - in some form or another - resealing neatly back into the seam. He tends to wear a cloak that drapes down to around knee level, which is large enough to wrap around his entire form, though Kannic tends to shrug it back over one shoulder.

Beneath the exterior, however, is a completely different story. Unbeknownst to basically anyone, unless told by Kannic personally, is a body that is almost completely cybernetic. With a mixture of droid components, subdermal durasteel plating, and hermetically-sealed organ sacks, Kannic has had almost 90% of his physical self replaced, and not by his choice. In essence, all that remains of the humanoid he was, is his head and upper torso.

    • Kannic's skeleton has been mostly been replaced with scrapped droid plating, with reinforced durasteel segments for protection and durability - this includes his skull, which uses synthskin to appear human
    • His arms and legs have been replaced completely and are made of durasteel-lined alloys, and house hollow compartments for storage
    • His torso has been covered with additional durasteel plating segments, which leave no direct openings to his internal organs (that remain)
    • A built-in respirator supports his lungs, his organic internals are sealed in protective hermetically-sealed sacks, and he is able to survive in vacuum for up to 10 minutes
    • His legs house pistons, which allow him to move his considerable weight easily
    • His feet contain magnetic pods that can attach to metal surfaces
    • His organ sacks filter out lactic acids and poisons
    • His brain has a replacement nervous system installed, connected with electrostatic wiring throughout his body
    • His right eye is an enhanced photoreceptor that can see infrared, night, ultraviolet and magnetic visual ranges; it also allows him to patch in HUD elements, display diagnostics of his body systems, and even capture and display holographic footage
    • His ears have been augmented with built-in transceivers, which allow him to tap into unencrypted transmissions over short distances
    • His body is completely covered with synthskin and synth-hair
    • His brain is protected by a stasis mode, should his cybernetics be critically damaged or shutdown

  • Strengths:
    • Metal Tank: Kannic is a durasteel plated, cybernetically-enhanced, electrostatic wiring driven and piston powered head and torso; he is very durable, able to move quickly, and is physically very strong.
    • Combatant: Kannic served in his homeworld's army, he learned a range of skills with blasters and knives, and did them very well; he now applies those skills to his new profession as a Bounty Hunter.
    • Cybernetics: Kannic has been enhanced with a range of cybernetics, beyond the physical; this includes a electrostatic wired nervous system, for quick reactions, a left eye replacement that allows for a range of visual and projection modes, and even hermetically-sealed organics that can allow him to survive in vacuum for up to 10 minutes, as well as filter out poison and lactic acids for improved stamina
    • Willpower: It takes a lot for someone to keep going after being forcefully converted into a cybernetic organism, and Kannic has determination and a stubbornness in spades.

    Weaknesses:
    • Very Heavy: Kannic is very heavy, because of all the metal and parts, and this presents difficulties in some circumstances.
    • Cybernetic Reliant: Kannic is a being that relies on his cybernetics, and while he has anti-ion protection in place throughout his systems, excessive damage from high-grade ion weapons can shut him down and force a recovery period.
    • Electricity: Kannic is weaker to electrical sources, for obvious reasons, and while they shouldn't kill him because of grounding systems in his body, it can hamper his physical movement in detrimental ways.
    • Not Invincible: Kannic's body uses durasteel plating over standard metal alloys, this means that while he is 'more resilient', he is not completely resistant to high intensity energy or high-impact weaponry, such as lightsabers or sniper rifles.
    • Powered: Kannic is powered by power cells; they need replacing, and if drained of energy, can be life threatening
    • Lost: Kannic is a man going through some real psychological and emotional issues, there's a lot swirling around in that brain that has been ignored or pushed down for a long, long time.
