• Affiliation: Kalyn Shif
• Crew Complement: Lightly Manned. A quadjumper requires only a single pilot, with room for two passengers.
• Notable Crewmembers: N/A
• Accessibility: Might turn up at random ports across the Rim. Not a publicly known location by any means.
• Description: A TUG-b13 Quadjumper is a beautiful bouncy boat, old and finicky. This one drifted in vacuum for a few centuries until the Wretched Hive tidied it up and sold it to the young Captain Shif. It’s a small but comfy home for aspiring space junk - if you like your home nestled between four gigantic engines that can go backwards.
INTERNAL DEFENSES
• None.
POINTS OF INTEREST
• COCKPIT: Seats one, with surprisingly comfortable foldout benches in back.
• BUNKS: Holographic ‘windows’ give a view of something other than engine guts.
• FRESHER: There is one.
• GALLEY: A very small space for storing and preparing food. Mostly, folks just eat in their bunks.
• MAIN ENGINEERING: A crawlspace under the deck between the bunks.
SECURITY
• High. The Quadjumper has no combat shields, but it’s got a very tough hull, a small bay for bombs and/or thermal detonator mines, basic cannons, aggressive scavenging gear, and tractor/pressor fields built for bumping into things. Very tasty, and yet unassuming to just about any scans.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
This is one of the original Quadjumpers, a good eight centuries old. It spent most of that time drifting in hard vacuum, a decent environment for preservation. When the Wretched Hive’s outlaw techs procured it, all they needed to do was clear out corroded power cell housings, update some electronics, swap the air filters, and lay the previous occupants to rest. They sold it at a reasonable profit and a great price to Kalyn Shif, a young spacer who had ties to the Outer Rim Coalition.

The ship retained its freight capabilities, mini-home or not. It still has dorsal magnetic clamps for moving containers around (primarily in microgravity), and can fit a lot of freight mass so long as the volume is small and you’re okay with climbing over crates to get to the bathroom.
