  • Oceanic
Covered in three to ten metre thick ice or large ice floes, the oceans are deep and support the only life in the Kaltese oceans. Sailfish.

Native Species
  • Kaltese Sailfish -- The only fish that exist in Kaltese seas. Are harmless, but tasty.

Government
The Kaltese government is centred around commerce. A supervisor is assigned, by a company, to the various fishing cities around the world -- especially around the Whitewater Sea. These supervisors have a tendency to mind their own affairs, but if necessary they will discuss agreements for mutual profit.

Population
Approx. 1-2.5million sentients worldwide

Demonym
Kaltese

Major Imports
  • Food
  • Landspeeders
  • Fishing equipment and repulsor barges
  • Cold weather survival equipment
Major Exports
  • Kaltese Sailfish
  • Kaltese Sailfish products
Affiliation
Neutral. They just like to sell fish.

Major Locations
  • The Whitewater Sea
A strange sea of Kaltes that is always hued white and slightly luminescent, its shores are the location for many fishing and shipping operations due to the massive, seemingly infinite quantity of sailfish in the waters. So many so, that they have nearly condensed into a ring-like city around the sea. This is the primary source of activity on Kaltes, where cargo ships often can be seen moving to-and-from the world transporting both imported necessities and exporting fish and fish products.
  • Shearpoint Mountains (See picture)
Nobody in modern times knows what formed these dagger-like peaks in the world. They go all the wat around the equator, almost as if the two hemispheres were mashed into one another, and for miles outward the razor-spike peaks carry on, some even creating strange islands in the local waters.
For Force Users, the entire area would reek of the Dark side, and it would echo across the entire planet.
Culture
For as long as anyone can remember, trade has been the name of the game on Kaltes. Fish for wares, wares for fish, and all for credits. The day-to-day of an average colonised Kaltese is simple, really. They wake up, get prepared for the cold, beat off the mynocks that followed them to the planet ages ago, and begin fishing operations. The goal every day is to survive to see your employer's profit margin increase, and by proxy see your paycheck increase. It's a simple life of do your job and make money.

Technology
Modern technology, but nothing extravagant.

History
The History of Kaltes is a rather boring one, except for one event. Throughout time it has been used for fish. Nobody even knows who discovered Kaltese Sailfish, but they're unnaturally tasty fish. The Whitewater Sea is the result of various fluids from the fish, but don't tell the swimmers that.

The Shearpoint Mountains are decidedly more interesting, however. Some ages ago, there was a mass conflict between ancient Jedi and Sith, and the Sith had attempted making a kind of Death Star-like super weapon. That weapon honed Dark energy into a planet-destroying beam, but the result was unexpected. The shot destabilised the world rather than destroyed it, and along the main blast path of the equator, the mountains rose from writhing, twisting volcanoes born of the Sith weapon.

While the population itself is negligible and would not even have much of a history aside from the text books, it should be noted that initial journeys, pre-fish, to the planet were considering using it as a military staging area. As such, beasts from other worlds were added to the local list of fauna to attempt to "regulate" the climate. Herds of Taun-Tauns were the first to breed transportation, and the snow mynocks were among the last, the result of space mynocks undergoing identical evolution to those on Hoth.

Aside from that, though, most of the planet's recorded existence is as a fisher's paradise where you freeze to near-death but get a pretty penny from your pain.

Ok first of all your going to need to add more description to climate other than frozen, especially since it has large ocean that hasn't frozen over. Likewise ocean and mountains don't cut it for terrain. It also don't fit the bill for this type of planet, you'll need to expand here too.

Despite not having a large population base, the history and culture greatly need to be expanded upon.

Ok Arctic is not a climate, its a region of the real world. Antarctica should not be in the app. Try looking up boreal and tundra climates on wikipedia, and giving me a better description based on that. Like wise sheer volume does not work, Oceans will freeze over however the ice floating on top the water. Again try looking at Boreal climates to draw up a better climate.

As far as the history and culture is concerned, I'll accept it, but only under the pretense that there no hidden surprises or secrets that plan to be unveiled in the future, to illicit an unfair advantage in the RP.

I'll do some research into it and let you know when the edits are made.

The only way this world can be 'exploited' is if a Sith feeds on the residual Dark side energies. There aren't any hidden relics or artifacts or anything like that that can be used to suddenly take over the universe. It's just a ball of ice with the misfortune of being shot.

...and delicious fish.
