STRENGTHS
+Force Adept: For a large portion of her life, Kallisto was a member of the Jedi Order. While still a Jedi, she was able to reach the level of Knight in her prowess with the Force.
+Sword-Maiden: As a Jedi Knight, Kallisto had followed the path of a Jedi Guardian. As such, she focused on the more martial aspects of the Jedi. She came to be skilled user of Ataru and Soresu, utilizing a hybrid of the two forms.
+Echani Danger Sense: As a Thyrsian, Kallisto is afforded the same abilities as her Echani forebears. This includes the infamous Echani danger-sense, a type of precognition that instinctively allows Echani and Thyrsians to avoid danger during combat. Strangely, Kallisto’s own reflex is not enhanced by her connection to the Force. This danger sense only provides brief flashes, and is not always accurate.
WEAKNESSES
-Mute: Due to an injury in her past, Kallisto is rendered mute. This makes communication difficult for her, even in spite of her usage of Galactic Sign Language. If she is with someone who cannot understand Sign, or otherwise rendered incapable of performing Sign to communicate, she effectively is silent.
-Sith-Hater: Due to the nature of how she received her injury and muteness, she has an intense hatred of the Sith or any other dark sider that tries to emulate them. Seeing one sometimes makes her teeter toward the dark side herself, as she seeks vengeance against the group she feels robbed her of her voice.
-Fierce Nationalist: After her self-resignation from the Jedi, she had returned to Thyrsus and became involved with the growing nationalist movements. She has a passionate belief in Thyrsian sovereignty from the rest of Echani society, and likewise falls into certain prejudices against Echani and Mandalorians, the traditional rivals of her people.
PERSONALITY
Kallisto is a very focused mind, having disciplined herself during her training in her youth. She is very sisterly to most of her comrades and fellow Thyrsians. However, she sometimes feels like an outcast due to her muteness. Furthermore, she is not above prejudice and hatred. With the Sith, she has hatred from her personal conflict with them, as well as prejudices against groups who have been traditional enemies of her people.
BIOGRAPHY
Born to a family of Thyrsian farmers, Kallisto Heru was not set out for greatness from the get go. Her life was rather mundane, living the life of a farmer’s daughter. That was, at least, until she was found to be sensitive with the Force. Feeling that a life among the Jedi would provide for her more, her parents sent her off to be trained at the closest enclave of Jedi. There, she was paired with an old Cathar by the name of Ja-Ga Mao. As she grew, she chose to follow the path of a Jedi Guardian, the soldiers of the Jedi Order.
When she reached required spiritual growth in her training, Kallisto underwent the Jedi Trials and was ceremonially inducted as a Jedi Knight. For years, she served the Galaxy as a peacekeeper and warrior against the Dark Side. A fateful day, however, came when she and some of her fellow Jedi had been dispatched to deal with a Sith cult. While they eventually rooted the cult out like rats from their den, Kallisto was injured in the battle. One of the cultists managed to strangle her in a Force choke, but was subdued before she asphyxiated. Yet, the crushing power utterly destroyed her vocal chords, rendering her mute. She became frustrated with her new situation, feel inadequate without the ability to communicate like she once did.
Feeling like she was unfit to serve, she voluntarily resigned from the Jedi Order. In her time away, she began to study the ways of galactic sign language. Additionally, she became more involved with the nationalist movements of her home world. Eventually, she joined up with Khonsu Amon and his Golden Company. Upon joining, she forged a Force-Imbued sword, one which is wreathed in ethereal flame to intimidate her enemies.
