- A Student's First Lesson: A lightsaber constructed for the pure purpose of aiding Kale and any situation where he may have to draw the weapon. Even being taught that a lightsaber should never be his first, or only option to a given scenario. As such, The lightsaber houses two particular crystals. The Lorrdian Gemstone, and the Spintiri Crystal. The Gemstone has been known when attuned to the user, to allow the wielder to more accurately predict outcomes of situations be it battle, thoughts, or otherwise. This can be used to great effect while defending ones self against blaster fire, or even lightsaber strikes. On the other hand, the Spintiri Crystal has been known for its effects in aiding the user directly with the force. Growing and agumenting their capabilities to be much more than expected. A secondary effect of this weapon, is being attuned only to the wielder. Allowing only the one person who has made a connection with the crystal, to operate the lightsaber. Lastly, the third known effect of the weapon is that it can cool tempers and aid to keep a level head in tense situations.
- Utilities of the Jedi: Given that both Romi Jade, and Kaleleon are of the same mindset when it comes to using whatever they are given for a multitude of tasks given for them, Kaleleon did some extra homework when it came to the construction of his lightsaber. While Most Apprentices would merely have a lightsaber that turned on and off, Kale acquired the items necessary to adjust the power setting of the blade intensity. A Pontite lens to aid while in battle scenarios of keeping any potential tempers, or keeping calm in a demanding scenario. A Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse housed to allow the weapon to operate under water, and even an Ion Energy Cell so when striking enemies with personal shield generators or striking opponents with a multitude of electronic based systems, it will do just slightly more damage to their systems.
- "This Weapon is your Life": Romi speaks of many Jedi, and Sith losing their weapons to damage, or to being simply fool headed. Tasked with creating the lightsaber, Kale did all he could to look up ways to prevent damage to his lightsaber. Sure he could have maybe paid some high price credits for Phrik, or Songsteel. However, they do little to nothing in the way of protection against electrical damage, while still offering superb protection to general use, or that of a battle. Reinforced Duraplast protects against EMP's and some smaller electrical charges. Secondary to this, The Lightsaber was hefty enough to not be so easily lost in one's pocket. As one very old Jedi once said, "This weapon is your Life." Thusly, the weapon is given the same respect in it's creation, as though it were a child being brought into this world.
- Force Willing: Due to the nature of the crystals housed within the lightsaber, as well as the Pontite lens, should the wielder introduce themselves to a Force nullification bubble of any form, the effects can deteriorate, or even be taken away from the wielder. While the Lightsaber will still function itself, any added benifets will be nullified and voided.
- You Gonna Poke Your Eye Out Kid: The lightsaber is not an easy tool to learn to use. Even while Kale has been once trained as a Paladin of the Adamite Tower, He was never trained specifically to use a Lightsaber, or as Kale knew them for most of his life, "Sunfire Swords." Thusly, the lightsaber has been set specifically to have a power adjustment knob to allow the young man to practice his weapon training, without harming himself. However, this means that should the young man not turn the knob up, there is a chance he could just be smacking a glorified baton at someone.
- Simple Functions. Nothing More: Kale honestly didn't want a super special lightsaber. Something simple and to the point. Hence the lightsaber doesn't have any extra special functions other than the crystals housed inside. It cant cut through metals faster. It can't cut through Lightsaber resistant materials. It can short out when coming into contact with Cortosis. The Lightsaber blade itself is just that. Your standard Lightsaber Blade.
- Growing Pains: A gift of Romi's. The Spintiri crystal is very useful for the young man. Able to grow along side him and even match the individuals "wavelength" to be the closest one could get to an extension of themselves. However, this means that if the Individual be of one side or the other, the opposing side of the force can corrupt, or purify the lightsaber to devastating effects. Causing the crystal to become damaged, or even completely shatter and break to no longer be usable. To that end, it would require a brand new one of these crystals, or a replacement soon after. The Lightsaber is bound to the user, and thus should the user become dark, so does the crystal. Should the user walk into the light, so will the crystal. The crystal itself, is fragile.
- Marco? Pol- Oh Crap!: As with any kind of Force attuned item, specifically the crystals, the constant bond that the crystal has with the user will make it slightly more difficult to hide ones self from the presence of the force. While a Master Level user in Stealth could negate these effects, Kale is not one such.
Kaleleon is one of the lucky few to be trained by Master Jade. A combatant and duelist of one of the highest calibers. Considering the woman has been to hell and back in order to survive, it seems she does the exact same to her apprentices. Sending them to hell in back. Not just to train them, not to beat them down, but for them to learn of themselves. To show that they are capable to themselves. To see the progress they have made from an apprentice that could barely swing a fist or a lightsaber, into a being who is able to defend, and even excel in a life or death situation.
Training in the art of lightsaber combat is necessary of the Jedi. Many times the Jedi are given a choice of how their weapon is created. While in the past, they were created in mass after the Galactic Republic fell, its now more important for an apprentice to make their own saber. One that will have a connection deeper than just "its a weapon." No, "This is my Lightsaber. There are many like it, but this one is mine." ideal is ingrained into his head from day one. As such, Romi tasked the young Kale to create his lightsaber. Not just to create it, but to make something that he would be proud to call his own.
At first, Kale didn't care for it. A lightsaber is just a tool. But when brought to his attention, that a Lightsaber is his life, he took it more seriously. With this new found purpose, Kale researched as much as he possibly could. Not to create a lightsaber that would be "good enough," but one that would last him a lifetime. One that would see him through his days. Not that alone, but to also provide his master Romi, with what he would feel, as a reason for their training relationship to continue.
