Strengths and Weaknesses
+ Smuggler: Kait grew up thieving, trafficking, conning and slicing to get by. She's used to working in the criminal underworld.
+ Enforcer: She's got a feisty spirit. She can throw or take a decent punch, can handle a knife and blaster and her footwork's alright.
+ Pilot: A fine pilot, Kait just seems to have all-round sharp instincts and flair at the helm. She's more than earned her wings.
+ Tech: Quite fond of technology, she makes a hobby of collecting, tinkering and experimenting with the bits and pieces that catch her eye.

= Healer: Kait has a strange affinity with Force Healing. It's handy, but also brings more than its share of trouble. Power like that has to be in high demand - using it on someone else is out of the question. Although it sure is a good hangover cure.

- Anxiety: Maybe it was her life in the undercity. Every now and then that unwelcome dread sets in, especially when the pressure is on.
- Alcoholic: Surprise, the orphan smuggler turns to drink as a coping method. To her credit, she's fully-functioning.
- Civilian: The only training Kait's had with combat is what she taught herself on the streets. She's not on the level of a legit soldier.
- Sourpuss: Snappy; sullen; snide; she cycles through a spectrum of unhealthy anger and tends to see the worst in people.

Description
Appearance: Kait's kind of average. Not quite skinny or broad, neither short nor tall; a little muscle, nothing outstanding. A spot of grease here and there she blends right in. Round blue eyes, snub nose and downturned lips may make up a pretty face, but the usual frown betrays a darkness in her. She doesn't let her hair down often, literally; the long gold locks tend to get in the way. Her skin is marked with ink (level 1313, skull motif, similar symbols/patterns) depicting her time underground, something she keeps to herself. She dresses for the job at hand - practical, inconspicuous with space to stow her gear, always covering her neck.

Personality: Kait's a quick witted, resourceful and discreet smuggler looking to make it big. She mostly does as she pleases. She's critical of governments and authority due to the inequality she faced back home. Spending some time as a lone wolf, she can be cynical of others and reluctant to accept help. Call her uncouth, brusque and dismissive, she doesn't mind, though she still harbors a troublesome spot of compassion, as she knows what it's like to lose hope. She struggles with anxiety, though in her mind it aids her judgement. She gets pissed off easily, as a way of protecting herself. Her pastimes include heavy drinking, working on tech, curating her 'stash', consuming illegally reproduced media and upsetting people on the holonet.

Biography: Kait rarely talks about her background. It's hazy how she lost those parents, or whether they lost her. Maybe in the shady violence of the underworld, maybe one of the sector-wide wars that came and went. Maybe they're alive and well somewhere, but she's past caring. Too many sleepless nights shivering in the endless alleys and squalor of the undercity, stealing from the other scum to get by. Kids are nearly invisible in the lower levels. But the important bit is after.

On 1313 it's the rule of nature, survival of the fittest. It makes sense to have a pack of the meaner, tougher freaks to back you up. The Muertos. Kait made a name for herself, and they took her in. She endured the hazing, the tests. She stole shipments, robbed marks, slung spice and everything else with a high. Protection rackets, heists, ransoms, gunrunning, you name it. No mercy for rivals or anyone else in the way. It wasn't a bad way to live.

Naturally they made a lot of enemies, territorial disputes and such. In a decisive scuffle, a shootout left the gang leaderless, and her dying in the filthy streets. All she thought was 'is that it?' The suffering, the sweat, the bad decisions and the brotherhood, this was what it all she got? She clung to life with a kind of mad determination she couldn't replicate, got up and walked out of there. Logically, she ought to have died, but didn't... this strange ability came to light. The Force was a funny old thing. Convenient, yes, miraculous even. If revealed it could doom her - she could see the kind of enslavement and exploitation it could bring down on her. What's more, the gang had some bad experiences with Force-users. She grew paranoid. In short, it added to an already big heap of trouble.

The gang honoured her for surviving, but she was shaken up, knowing she couldn't have. When would the truth come out? It was all too much. The turning point came with the new leader, some jumped up new blood. They were all cutthroat, but he seemed worse. When his authority was called into question, he fought a long, bloody struggle for control, finally taking his opponent's head to assert his power. The challenger was old blood, with a lot of the gang behind him. Unnerved by the act, this sect left to go their separate ways. Holden among them, of course. She was finally convinced to get out and start a new life. A new Kait. And that's about it.
