Following the final fateful battle at Krayiss II and the fall of the Dominion, Kainan Wolfe took command of a number of Dominion remnant elements, founding the Shrouded. As a manipulative man with a penchant for maintaining a carefully-crafted image and reputation, he decided to secretly acquire a lightsaber, which he claims he took from the body of a Sith Lord that he killed during the Krayiss II battle.
In reality, the Shrouded Blade was produced somewhere in the workshops of his fleet, using materials which were likely requisitioned or purchased from one of the wealthier refugees aboard the Shrouded armada and probably with assistance from one of the Force users within the fleet. It is an item designed primarily to impress people and enhance the quasi-mystical image which Wolfe has created for himself.
Despite its appearance, the Shrouded Blade is a completely ordinary lightsaber, aside from the synthetic Kyber crystal it incorporates. Despite the mythos that Wolfe is creating about the weapon, it gives its wielder no advantages in combat, aside from being slightly easier to use due to its weight distribution.
