Strengths:

• Fast: The Kad'ika's main role was that of a fast response ship and its original role was to catch pirate ships which necessitated quick and powerful engines.
• Atmosphere: The Kad'ika was able to maneuver and fly in atmosphere which allowed it to support troops on the ground in a variety of ways.

Weaknesses:

• Engine Blind Spot: The Kad'ika's five sublight engines were placed in a location where anti-starfighter lasers could not defend them.
• Poor Steering: Low manuverability and a bulky space frame made the Kad'ika an easy target to land hits on even from far away.
• Large Silhouette: The bulky space frame of the Kad'ika-Class Light Cruiser made it easier to target even from long range.

Description: Originally designed by MandalMotors for the United Clans of Mandalore, the Kad'ika-Class Light Cruiser played a crucial role during the height of the Sith-Mandalorian War. With long range fire support to Mandalorian troops on the ground and its powerful long-range ion cannons, it helped to expand the versatility of of the Mandalorian naval tactics and warfare. The Kad'ika was so successful during its time in the Mandalorian navy that it would stay in service long after the Clans fractured and would see continued service throughout previously held Mandalorian Space and most notably in the navies of the Mandalorian Empire.

At a length of 425 meters, the Kad'ika boasted a modified variant of the sloped hull designs that would become ubiquitous with MandalMotors designs like the Ash'amur-class Dreadnought, Mythosaur-class Super Carrier, and Keldabe series dreadnoughts. Refitted with extensive internal changes, the Kad'ika was capable of holding several hundred passengers on top of its crew compliment or several contingents of marines or law enforcement for use in boarding actions. MandalMotors' iconic compartmentalized systems were also a welcome upgrade and kept the ship functional even in spite of full perforations to the ship or internal bridge. Refits of the Kad'ika also boasted Mandalorian Steel armor plating along with powerful deflector shields, able to shrug off most low to medium grade weaponry.

The weapons compliment of the Kad'ika was modest and serviceable with several quad turbolaser emplacements, concussion missile launchers, and quad laser turrets. A small ventral hangar was able to hold a single squadron of starfighters, gunships, further expanding its mission profile and better equipped it to be a force projection and rapid response tool for the various planetary governments that utilized the Kad'ika. Variants of the Kad'ika in use by the Mandalorian protectors often sported mixed hangars of small squadrons of Meteor-class M carriers or Rekali-Class recon fighters.

The Kad'ika was able to maneuver effectively within a planet's atmosphere and often provided long range fire support against enemy fortifications during the Sith-Mandalorian war. With its contingent of Mandalorian or other jet-pack equipped jump troopers deployed through a number of airlocks along the starboard and port sides of the ship. The troopers were able to provide quick response infantry reinforcement and support and alongside its compliment of transports no doubt saved thousands of lives during the conflict. While it cannot land on the surface, it was often kept at station keeping, just within range of jump troopers' jetpacks above a conflict or mission critical area and allowed them to return captured enemies and deliver them to the cruiser's brig facilities.

With a long and distinguished service in service to the Mandalorians, the Kad'ika would eventually see its patrol duties replaced with the Davaab-class Escort frigate. However, the light cruiser's success and notoriety made it popular among small planetary governments throughout worlds previously held by the Mandalorian Clans and while its escort and patrold duties might have been taken, it still served as a powerful tool of force projection and was frequently used as a fast response ship by the Mandalorian Protectors.
