Just My Luck [Open to Bounty Hunters]

Quivering limbs held up the swaying Shaper. Yet, Idruin's movements flowed smoothly as he put years of Kro Var training into play to counter the - feint? Golden eyes flicked to the Jedi's withheld right hand and widened. At that exact moment several things happened simultaneously. First, the sharp whine of a blaster discharge sounded and someone behind Idruin grunted in pain. He could only assume someone else was there, but who was shooting at him? The high whine of a blaster was quickly followed by a second shriek of a weapon, more powerful than a first. Finally a sharp clink and a splash sounded just before a blinding white light filled the room.

Aleksandr stumbled backward, raising a hand to shield his eyes even as an explosion rocked the room. An intense heat washed over him. His literally fried brain fumbled to comprehend what exactly was happening, but it was spared further torture by the San-Ni staff whipping into him from behind. One of the power couplings sheared into his lower back just above the kidneys and wrapped around. The electrical discharge burned through cloth, skin, and layers of muscle before meeting two ribs and charring halfway through them. The San-Ni staff continued spinning away, ricocheting off his body and across the floor.

The intense pain dropped Idruin to his knees and a raw scream tore from his throat. He collapsed forward, hands and knees supporting his weight as he shuddered. The fragility of human condition afflicted him. He had been too weak, too powerless to save those he loved. Would he succumb now to the frailty of the flesh when he had the chance to avenge them?

"NO!" His voice broke, ragged. Power welled in him born of the Dark Side. He raised a shivering hand and from his palm came a torrent of flame that streamed toward [member="Hasjo Hallu"]'s chest.

'Manda he's fast' was all Adenn could think of before he was shot in the knee, forcing him to fall on one knee before collapsing on his side, it definitely didn't take out his knee -thank beskar- but it would leave the man with a sore knee for a while "Kark!" he quickly regained his aim on the table the man had hidden behind, only to witness a shot be fired through a window, hitting the man, and making Adenn stay down, so he didn't get shot either "Shab, everything's gonna go wrong now isn't it!" almost instantly after he said this a thermal detonator landed a few feet away from him "Ho-lee shab, I was right."

It felt like minutes, but it only took him seconds, getting up, putting his DMR on his back and running out the door. He hit the opposite door, splintering it before groaning out "Whoever kriffing threw that... I'm going to ki-" that was all Adenn Gra'tua could get out before he saw two more bounty hunters -or what looked like them- while backing away Adenn pulled out one of his pistols, aiming it at one of the two's -the one that had armor- upper chest.

(Duel time :D)

He was just waiting around, watching the halo net from his motorcycle. Wearing his mandalorian armor and reeving up the engine for impact.

He had reached the 164 floor from the outside by flying through traffic, than flying off in a different angle down towards the building from the news. Aiming towards the room with all the firework shows. He fired his auto cannons and than crashed straight in the room without a hint of fear.

The next unexpected thing would appear out of nowhere, a large motorcycle with a bladed chassis in the very front made for mowing people down had appeared. Rushing in about at 150 mph with his full thrusters active for this one run.

The crusher chopper would be aiming to ram into the floored [member="Aleksandr Idruin"] and [member="Hasjo Hallu"] that he wanted to get rid of himself. Of course, when he came between the two his motorcycle would take a full bunt of the flame attack from the screaming guy.

Lucky for him that this speeder front
Was purely for blocking, as it was ratber burnt. Yet, the bladed chassis was on fire, about to impale into both targets mostly the person that kept screaming.

Depending on how things would go, there was a large hole in the apartment and a very large chopper that blocked the whole middle of the room.

Sharky got up and took out his Axe-Saber his first invention known since he killed the last almost Commander who made fun of him,he quickly used his backup jetpack out the table and would eventually use his parachute and cloak to land he then took out his SMG's and starts to shoot the mandalorian while acknowledging his little accent..he could speak small mandalorian not too much like him though..
"k'uur, shabiir!"

(( Added this for dramatic effect in our duel ;) ))

A gigantic machine crashed through the wall, sending shrapnel spraying in all directions. No! This Jedi was his to kill. His alone!

A savage roar left Aleksandr's lips as he rose to his feet, standing only through the strength of the Force, and ran straight for Hasjo. He drew on the Dark Side and increased his speed to a swiftness which most would think impossible for human beings. Before the bladed speeder could cut them both down, Aleksandr crossed the small intervening distance between himself and the Jedi Master - arms extended wide - and sought to tackle [member="Hasjo Hallu"] and send them both crashing through the rear window to fall 164 floors.

The fall from that height would last 17.8 seconds and Aleksandr would do his utmost to kill the Jedi in that amount of time. He would let none claim this death, not even gravity.

Time seemed to slow for the metalloid Nautolan. What had been a peaceful day had turned into chaos and pure anarchy. People were fighting with one-another, and Hasjo was in the thick of it. He was a veteran of many battlefields, but this was altogether unique and different. The sound of an approaching speeder distracted him from Aleksandr, taking the full blunt of his attack. Sluggish drools of molten durasteel plating dripped from his midsection and onto the floor, burning away at the carpet. His senses kicked back in, but too late. He felt the hostile embrace of his opponent as a speeder narrowly avoided him. Hasjo's thick boots stood their ground, but he hadn't been properly prepared. His sudden attempt at a defence failed, and his footing suddenly reverted. He felt his back slam against the transparisteel, window shattering. Before he knew it, he was falling. Hasjo reached out, attempting to curl his great hands around the throat of Aleksandr as he spiralled out of control.

[member="Aleksandr Idruin"]

Bare arms covered only by thin robes wrapped around the Nautolan's waist, encircling the life support suit and holding them chest to chest as they crashed through the window together and began the long fall down. The molten durasteel plates around Hasjo's midsection pressed against Aleksandr's chest and swiftly burned through cloth to eat away at the flesh beneath. The scream from his lips was lost, taken by the same wind that whipped furiously at his hair and clothes as he fell.

Two impossibly strong, cold, metal hands wrapped around Aleksandr's throat and began to squeeze. Idruin's eyes widened and he felt his trachea begin to give as the very life was squeezed from him. Blackness closed at the edges of his vision. Struggling to keep death at bay, Aleksandr conjured flames around the palms of both this hands, which were pressed against Hasjo's lower back. He would heat through the durasteel and cook whatever was inside.

Amber eyes stared defiantly back at Hasjo.

[member="Hasjo Hallu"]

He felt his hands tighten on the young mans throat. He relented his attack when a distinct voice echoed within his helmets audio output 'Critical System Failure.' Hasjo knew exactly what that meant. His life support systems would begin to shut down within a matter of seconds. Before he even hit the ground he would be dying. There was no way of survival for him this time. Molten durasteel plates dripped from his chest as now his back was compromised. The nanocomposite bodysuit he wore beneath the armour began to burn away at the sheer heat, revealing a series of horrific apparatus systems that injected themselves into the flesh of the Nautolan. They maintained his breathing and blood pressure. Hasjo Hallu knew the little time he had as he hurtled to his doom. He was strong enough to save himself from the fall, but not the both of them. It was known that although he was a ruthless and lethal Sith-Hunter, the philosophical warrior believed in second chances, even for the Sith. In his last moments, he relinquished the very last of his energy towards [member="Aleksandr Idruin"]. Encasing him in a field of energy to protect him from the fall. Hasjo's black orb-like eyes searched the amber eyes of his opponent. There was a harmony that washed over Hasjo. A calming peace that emanated from his very core. The earth shuddered beneath the might of the impact. And at long last, Hasjo lay still.

Uriel grinned as he heard his thermal detonator go off - and the curses of several of the room's occupants. He wasn't sure if he'd actually managed to kill anyone, but he'd sure made them angry. Flicking out his WESTAR-35 blaster pistol from his holster, he waited to see who would emerge, if anyone at all. He slowly counted down, and when he finally saw someone emerge, the bounty hunter that had just ran into the room earlier, he pointed it at the man, who in turn seemed to be pointing a pistol of his own at Uriel.

"Not a smart frakking move, mate. This right here is full beskar'gam. Shooting it won't do much for you, so how about we just-"

Boom.

Uriel's balance was thrown off as he heard something very, very large slam into the room next to him. "What the kark?!" He swore, as he attempted to regain balance. Things got even more hectic, when he noticed the Republic soldier opening fire on the hunter, and shortly afterwards the shattering of a window.

Frag this, I'm going in. He thought to himself, as he barreled straight towards the hunter, simply attempting to shove him out of the way with the jetpack the soldier had given him earlier. It seemed to be a rather excellent bludgeoning device, he reflected, having relied on the fire provided by the soldier as a distraction for him. He rounded into the door, and swore. A massive speeder of sorts blocked his passage, and there was an enormous hole in the window. His bounty was nowhere to be seen.

Anger overtook him, and Uriel promptly crashed through the nearest door to see if it had a balcony, a window, or any opening to observe the direction of escape. He dropped the jetpack he had been holding, dumping it somewhere in the room, placing his pistol nearby his person, should somebody come after him, as he fumbled for his E-11S. After a few grunts and curses, he retrieved the weapon, taking a knee, as he placed the scope to level with his visor. He attempted a few calming breaths. Being so flustered with a sniper rifle was not a smart idea, and he attempted to simmer down. He'd locate the Jedi and pursue. Simple. He caught something out of the corner of his eye, and glanced down.

The scene that the Lone Wolf observed from his sniper rifle was one he wished he had never laid eyes on.

Sharky grinned a little at Uriel with his cracked helmet glass and half torn up suit he couldnt help the mando more than he could, he only had to do one thing..
"Thanks for giving my old jetpack some use, i gotta say this whole operation was screwed up than we thought, im gonna go i dont think this jedi needs my help.."
Sharky jumped out a broken wall and uses his parachute to reach the 62nd floor..

"Full beskar? Like mine isn't-" There was a boom that cut Adenn off, before he was shot at by the trooper from before, over it all though he heard the breaking of glass "Shab! Who did tha-" cut off by a jet pack to the face, or helmet in Adenn's case. A moment of daze replaced by anger, he quickly got up and ran though the door, only to see a huge chunk of ugly metal where the jedi was fighting before. He stood still, trying to comprehend what happened, before he yelled out loud "Shab! I've lost another one!" Adenn punched a wall near him, making his hand hurt from the impact. It wasn't long before he finally searched for the other hunter -[member="Uriel Arvanis"]- whom he found on the balcony staring down at the ground, Gra'tua started chuckling quietly before asking the man "How's the view?" Adenn felt as if he knew what happened, the jedi was dead, or most likely anyways, he probably wasn't, due to what the bounty hunter had seen. But he was wrong.

Sharky was suprised and slightly intimidated, he then took out his duel elite riot pistols and aimed them at the Mandalorian..

"It's fine thank you for asking..now if you excuse me..im going to deliver my general's corpse before he is reduced to tar.."

He said dropping his pistols in his holesters taking out an equipment and he disorients the Mandalorian blind with a flashbang, Sharky then runs away from Arden not committing any vows to hunt him down, it was not his nature..

Lily pulled back the handle for the bolt of the rifle back and loaded in the next bullet. The calibre were behemoth sized, but of course they had to be if they could puncture the hull of a tank. She saw the speeder racing to crash into the apartment, bypassing the Hapan security forces. She lined the shot and pulled the trigger. The clap of thunder echoed. She had missed by bare inches, her Hi-Sense Enhanced Eyes had been capable of seeing it. She turned her glare to a physical brawl that broke out between the Jedi and Sith, glass shattered as the heavy Nautolan crashed through the window. Her heart skipped a beat. She dropped the rifle, placed a foot on the windowsill and dived out the opening. She placed her body in a pinpoint figure, increasing her speed rapidly as she attempted to catch up. Cold blue eyes watched as the two grappled with one another as they both fell to their doom. Neither had yet given up. There wasn't enough time, she rolled her body and activated the thrusters of her jet pack.

She was abruptly yanked back. Hovering mere meters above the ground. She began her descent. The permacrete around the armoured Jedi had been churned up with great cracks. They resembled lightning bolts with it's epicentre at the heart of the fall. Her feet gently touched down. Lily didn't hesitate to get to work. She didn't need to check vital signs to know the Nautolan was dead. His suit had melted against his flesh. She eased her way to his helmet, falling to a knee. Her hands curled around the device and yanked it from his head. It revealed the charred face of the Nautolan from a previous conflict. Most of his headtresses were missing. She brought her right wrist to kneel and a hidden vibroblade ejected free. She swiped her wrist across the remaining lime green headtresses and cut them from his scalp. Lily grasped her prize and ignited her thrusters, bursting off to the west to make her escape.

"Skrik" Enjenka Piper grinned when the Laughing Mando looked into her eyes, even when he was being very serious about money. She understood exactly what Uriel was saying. No disintegrations--at least, not yet. Hopefully she could somehow manipulate the Jedi's death after they had collected the bounty. Jedi were too dangerous to be kept alive, no matter how painful their existence was. Only fools would prolong his existence. But for now, she would have to agree to the man's terms. Two allied attackers were far better than a 'lone wolf' against such a powerful enemy.

Skrik frowned at the Rash Mando--the one who had suddenly reappeared and was now attacking her new partner, the Laughing Mando--and activated her electrostaff with intent on plunging it into the impetuous hunter's chest. But Uriel seemed to have things taken care of, and the Forcebreaker decided to scurry on after him into the crime scene.

What they beheld was a complete mess. The cost of remodeling would be extensive, she imagined. But the Forcebreaker's thoughts did not dwell long on this. Skidding around the smoked speeder, Skrik rushed to the balcony where everyone else seemed to be gathering. And it angered her. One hundred sixty-four stories below, she knew Hasjo Hallu had met his demise. She had lost her chance at personal revenge.

Next plan of action? Kill his killer. Based on the demeanor of the other hunters gathered around, Master Hallu's killer had fallen the entire way with him. She confirmed this by looking through her KiSteer 1284's scope and seeing a fragile but breathing body laying on top of the metal lifesuit-turned-coffin. Only another Force user could survive such a tremendous fall.

Remembering the jetpack Uriel had knocked the Rash Mando with, Skrik hustled back to where it lay and retrieved it. Did she have any idea how to use it? No. That is why the corner office is overrated. Sometimes half-Rattataki martial artists hellbent on murdering Jedi and/or Sith, who have no idea how to use personal aerial propulsion equipment, crash through a window on their way down to the street level. It turns out that a one hundred sixty-four story drop is enough time to learn how to properly ignite the thrusters to pad the fall. Still, the first-time flyer fell without style and crumpled to the ground as she landed.

Slowly lifting herself up off the ground, Skrik just noticed someone else leaving the scene who had not been there before. But at least Mr. Sith was still there. Pulling out one of her trusty vibroblades, the pale assassin calmly sliced a gash through her own pants and into the flesh of her thigh, prompting the development of a red stain. She was now ready to give the final blow to Hasjo's killer.

Uriel Arvanis was boiling with fury.

His bounty had been stolen right out from under him. How in the seven Corellian Hells had brazen and rash tactics succeeded over careful planning? Uriel was flabbergasted in all honesty, but there was one thing he knew for sure. He was going to make that son of a Bantha pay for taking his bounty. The crosshairs were pointed directly at the Sith. It would be so easy. All he had to do was pull the trigger and-

Boom.

Yet again, Uriel was completely thrown off his balance, courtesy of his partner slamming through a window like a maniac with the spare jetpack attached to her. Well, that was one way of getting down there, he reflected. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of the hunter he had bludgeoned with the aforementioned jetpack, and heard a question directed at him. "How's the view?"

Instinctively, Uriel's fingers moved towards the WESTAR-35 pistol he had dumped next to him, though he did not make a move to fully take it yet. His eyes focused on the hunter, giving him an extensive look-over, now that they weren't pointing guns at each other.

"It's karking terrible," he replied. "Completely obstructed by all these buildings, people running around in a mass panic, pretty sure there's a security blockade forming up. Oh, yeah, and the bounty's dead too. Meaning... you and I both lost some integrity." A concussion grenade went off behind the other hunter. Uriel pointedly ignored it, as both men were likely wearing helmets that protected against that sort of thing. "Wanna' avenge it by ripping the idiot that stole our bounty in half? There's nothing quite like the screams of those who wronged you."

Uriel reflected on an earlier time, where he had hunted down the man responsible for the deaths of his fellow companions. Oh, yes, he squealed like a stuck gizka.

The Lone Wolf patiently waited for an answer, remaining wary, should the other hunter try anything.

The soldier made it to the jedi Nautolan with his spare jetpack and to where he battled the firey beast but realized that his body was gone, that could only mean..
"Oh....boy.."

"Heh, I though so." Adenn chuckled, before hearing the mans proposition, it sounded great, it would definitely get his mind off the lost bounty, so he agreed "Why yes, I do, it'll be nice to do something new for once." A smile formed under the mans helmet, he knew that if they caught that person they'd have some fun, but there was one tiny issue, one that would slow them down a bit "But... how are you gonna get down there?" he gestured downwards "Take the elevator? Cause I know if you had a jet pack, you'd already be down there." oh Adenn hoped this night would end with some fun.

Aleksandr widened his eyes as he saw the ground rushing up below. He grit his teeth and prepared to die, hoping he would at least take this Jedi with him. Suddenly, a cocoon of Force energy wrapped around him. The eviscerated youth didn't have further time to comprehend why or how as both bodies made impact. The ethereal shield contacted the ground first and protected him from the worst of the damage, but as soon as Hasjo's life ceased the shield did as well.

Aleksandr's body hit the permacrete with considerable force. Pain erupted in his body and he heard the sharp crack of bones snapping like twigs, then everything went black.

The youth lay there, burnt, cut, bruised, and broken beside the Jedi Master's slagged corpse. He did not appear to be breathing.

Security forces soon arrived. After all, one could not simply run around slaughtering civilians, causing massive property damage, and shooting up an apartment complex without the authorities noticing.

Squad speeders arrived, dumping out local police who quickly moved forward. Whether or not the bounty hunters present could obtain proof of death was in their hands. Idruin wouldn't be trying to stop them. Coma patients tended to be docile like that.

The youth woke up several days later in a bacta tank in a secure facility. The authorities had some questions for this "boy."

[member="Adenn Gra'tua"] [member="Commander Sharky"] [member="Uriel Arvanis"] [member="Skrik Piper"] [member="Luminous"]

Exeunt.

OOC: Idruin will not be claiming the bounty, so you all can still fight amongst yourselves for it... and the cops who are there now.

Sharky looked at the seemed weakened life form, he turns around at the reinforcements..

"The..general will be needing some time to rest..things....happened.."
The poor soldier was feeling guilty, the fact he let his guard down by coming for his Cybernetic general late and dull, as time was short Sharky nodded at his republic police force mates..to do what must be done..

"Already have a jetpack, mate." Uriel gestured to his back, where there was indeed a jetpack situated on it. "Was going to see if I could pin him from this distance, but..."

He peered into the scope again, observing the scene below him. Yet another hunter had shown up, and cut off some of the dead Jedi's... head-tentacles? Uriel didn't want to dwell on what those would be used for. He shifted his gaze slightly, towards the steadily advancing security forces. Probably here to investigate all of the shenanigans afoot. Which meant it was time to go. Uriel was loath to leave the body just lying there, but the bounty posting had specifically said alive and unspoiled. Well, he sure as hell wasn't going to be unspoiled, after a fall from that distance.

He decided it would be best if he pretended he'd never gotten involved. The last thing he wanted to do was show up to the headquarters of the Sith, show them the corpse, and then get immediately decapitated for failing to adhere to the requirements. Let some other laserbrain take the heat. He wasn't sure about the other hunters, but Uriel was personally fond of keeping all of his body parts intact.

He holstered the sniper rifle, picking up his pistol as he slipped it back into its place on the belt. "Well, it's too karking late now. Maybe next time, we'll feed him to a rancor, or something along those lines." He grinned behind his helmet at the other hunter. "Be seeing you."

Uriel's foot collided with whatever was left of the window, shattering it, as he activated his jetpack, soaring out of the window, towards the ground a couple blocks away. The jetpack cut out, as he landed, and Uriel started off in the direction of his ship. Best get there before it got impounded and he had to answer questions. He wasn't in the mood for that.

He turned around and glanced back at the damaged skyscraper. First thing he was going to do when he got back to his ship was find the nearest quality cantina and get a few drinks. And then...

The Lone Wolf paused. Then, he would gather information on the one who cheated Uriel of so many credits. He would not forget this slight. There was only one possible payment that Uriel would deem acceptable, as compensation.

His life.

(( And that marks the end of my participation on this thread. A very fun thread, all. I had a blast! ))
