Just a Man and His Whiskey

Bent Lekku Cantina, Ryloth

It was a rare occurrence for the Mandalorian to find himself on Ryloth, as most of his time was spent either in the field or in the Mos Eisley cantinas. However, the completion of his most recent assignment saw him into the city of Kala'unn; and as such, Isley decided to find a decent place for a drink. He was directed by some locals to the Bent Lekku Cantina, which was cut from the same cloth as the establishment found on Mos Eisley. The moment he walked in, he was greeted by a sight that he had seen several times before: revelry and lust, as far as the eye could see. Skantily-dressed, Twi'lek waitresses moved about the cantina, carrying trays bearing drinks and snacks to patrons who were either desperate for feminine attention...or were simply "shady".

Home sweet home.

After taking two steps within the cantina, Isley was immediately flanked by a duo of overly-affectionate waitresses who took him by the arm and guided him to a seat at the bar. They asked him what he'd like to drink, to which he responded with an order of Corellian Whiskey. He'd tip them nicely, as that was the only way to keep them from fauning over him the entire evening, and then sit back and enjoy his well-earned beverage. The cantina, as a whole, was relatively dark and filled to the brim with the sound of drunken laughter, music, and the occassional glass being smashed. So far, there were no bar brawls or murders that the Mandalorian had seen; and as such he didn't have to worry about the paperwork associated with cleaning up the mess.

It seemed as though tonight would be simple. Just an armored man and his bottle of Whiskey.

Jason Sisk sat at the bar of the cantina, drinking down a small glass of some sort of alcoholic beverage. He wore his Mandalorian-type armor, light grey robes above it, the hood was firmly over his head. His mask's lower function allowed Jason to eat and drink without removing it, it was a handy feature for him. Taking a another sip of his drink, he relaxed in his chair, checking his side to make sure his lightsaber was still there, he never had complete trust in a place like this to be sure no one would pick pocket him. Making a collective sigh after seeing his weapon, he returned to his drink.
The strong feel of the Force could be felt from him.

(Sorry it is so short.)

The Mandalorian lifted his helmet in order to indulge in a sip of the beverage that was provided to him; and as according to his train of thought he left the lovely ladies with an excellent tip. However, before the glass of Whiskey could reach his lips, the presence of the Force hit him like a brick wall. It was not as pronounced or as cultivated as that which he was accustomed to from members of the Templar or Sith Orders; however it was strong enough for him to notice. Isley was relatively surprised to be met with such...potential...and as such he turned in the direction from whence the presence was originating. His eyes scanned the cantina until they fell upon one who was garbed with an attire similar to that which the Mandalorian wore: full armor; and to this the man found himself smiling.

"Good evening, Vod. Have you been to Mandalore lately?" he inquired, seeking to make simple conversation first before inquiring about the strong Force presence he sensed. To this end, he rose from his seat and sat upon the stool next to the armored man, giving him a silent nod of respect.

The air was stuffy and the drinks flew like water. They probably didn't have water here, so that was a stupid observation. He shouldered his way through a pair of sipping Twi'leks, and garnered scowls, which he met with steely glares through his visor. This wasn't a place for making friends, he assumed, as he strode towards the bar, and placed down a few credits, muttering something about a black ale. The barkeep complied, and delivered a stout glass of the black ale, with a straw in it. He smirked under his helm, and gave a short nod. Raising his helm somewhat, he sipped at the ale, relishing the strong, musky taste. Clad in his beskar'gam, he towered over the lesser mortals around him, and as he gazed above their heads, he peered around the bar, looking at the faces of the inhabitants. This might be decent after all.

Jason felt somethign behind him, given his enhanced perception with the Force and turned his head, looking at the new man sitting next to him, he saw he was wearing Mandolorian armor and silently scoffed. Another person mistaking him for a Mandalorian, he was used to it by this point, but decided to play along.

"Greetings, my fellow. What brings you to this pitch perfect paradise?" He grinned and raised his glasses to the stranger, taking a sip; he nearly drank the entire thing. He hadn't met a Mandalorian in a while, and while being mistaken for one got quite annoying, he liked the Mandalorians for they're prowess in battle, and they're armor was sturdy for defense, which is why he chose his armor based of them; it was good for disguises as well.

Ryloth perched on the edge of CIS space, close to the end of the Correllion Run was hardly a place for Simone to be. The Twi'lek girls ignored her presence, to which she was eternally grateful. The bartender however held a keen interest. After all, it wasn't often you would find a zeltron this far out, she tucked her red hair behind on ear and offered him a sly smile as he slid her another drink. As he turned his back the smile dropped and she brought the drink to her lips. Chasing stories often brought you to the edges of civilization. Eyes flicked down the bar, catching sight of Mandalorians. She pursed her lips in thought.

Mandalorians got everywhere. They worked their way into almost every faction, if they were as loyal to their own planet as legend tolod it, they really could take over the galaxy form their positions deep in the heart of other factions. She tried to imagine the incredible story it would make. Slipping from her seat she moved to a stool closer to them, eyes on her drink, ears listening intently.

Aella wandered into the Cantina, set on getting a good burger and some Corellian whiskey. She perched herself on a bar stool, glancing around at those who were there and waved the bar tender over to take her order. Having just piloted through a meteor storm the day before Aella was happy to be walking on the ground of a planet, rather than in orbit. She kept her guard up as she noticed a few mandalorians in the place.

The lack of an enthusiastic response in the traditional tongue of Mandalore spoke volumes about the man to whom Isley was addressing; but nonetheless the Mandalorian was slowly entering a good mood thanks to the Corellian Whiskey in his grasp. With a broad smile veiled behind his helm, he looked to his left, then looked to his right. To his immense surprise, he saw another man, garbed from head to toe in beskar'gam; and Isley would have been remiss to not wave him over...So he did. It was not an unncessary spectacle, but a simple wave of his hand, inviting @[member="Neskar A'toll"] to join them at the bar. To sweeten the deal, he added in a tone audible enough for him to hear, "Come Vod, sit with us. Let me buy you a drink."

Then to the one who looked the part, but did not speak it, Isley nodded and said. "Work. Had a job wrap up not too long ago and came in for a drink. Not my usual stop, but it's got decent stock; and the ladies aren't a bad touch either. What brings you here?" Once the words had escaped his lips, he lifted up his visor ever so slightly in order to take a hearty swig from his Whiskey. The bold flavor sang upon his tongue and set his throat aflame as it washed down into his gullet; damn was it good. When he had finished his sip, he set the glass atop the counter with a clatter and lowered his helm once more. He was about to say something to the bartender when he noticed that he had his eyes fixated on a woman with rather pink skin, a Zeltron, to which Isley couldn't help but chuckle.

"Oi, over here mate." he said, grinning from behind his helmet. Once he snapped the bartender's attention away from the Zeltron, his glass was refilled with Corellian Whiskey; and then he trudged over to where @Aella Caderyn was seated. Doing his job to the letter, he offered to refill the glass. Isley, as observant as ever, followed the portly man's walk over, and when he had offered to refresh her drink, Isley added. "Go ahead miss, this round's on me." He was in quite the good mood, to say the very least.

Jason, gesturing the bartender for another drink, answered Isley. "I am here looking for someone. Someone who is said to be in this area." After getting a refill of his drink, Jason looked to who the man was gesturing too, looking towards Neskar A'toll and the, surprisingly attractive Zeltron, Simone. He figure he'd have some time to know both better after he got another couple drinks in him.

He didn't even notice Aella Cadeyrn in the room, he was looking towards Isley, and his drink.

Neskar smirked under the buy'ce weighing down on his head. Out of the corner of his visor, he caught the wave, and sharply turned his head to the right. Meeting the visor of the waving man, he nodded deeply. "Of course," he replied, his voice rising over the clangour of the cantina. "Always nice to see a fellow vod on my travels." He sauntered over to their positions, scattering innocents, no thanks to his grand size. Taking up position next to the two Mandalorians, he loosened his grip on the glass of black ale he had ordered, feeling more comfortable with men of his calibre around him. "What brings you here, all the way out in the Outer Rim? I presume some kind of work, like myself." He moved the glass up to his head, and slid up the helmet so he could sip some of the ale, and sipped he did. It was a fine ale, he never expected it this far out from Mandalore. He smiled, letting the helmet rest back in its ordinary position. The cantina was crowded, and the air was stuffy, but the armour and its ventilators kept him cool, recycling the warm air for the cold air, chilling him to the bone.

Simone raised her glass at the chuckling mandalorian and offered him a wink. She couldn't help that she was beautiful and the bartender couldn't keep his eyes from her for long. Resigned to the fact that she had been noticed, she openly watched the mandalorian group now as they seemed to move around Aella.Simone had an ability to retain most of the information she read, and call it from her memory on demand without difficulty. To her knowledge, the CIS and the Mandalorians were no longer friends after the Ithor treaty fell through. So what were Mandalorians doing in CIS space?

Were they exiles from their own people? Dar'manda as they called them. She could ask, but she was content to simply sit back and watch. She emptied her glass, and set it down on the bartop. Another own replaced it almost instantly. It paid to be beautiful.

"Like I said, I am here looking for someone. Someone said to be in this area." He didn't like repeating himself, but he did cause the drink would be taking effect right about now. He wasn't exactly a lightweight, but a few drinks would get anyone feeling drunk, right?

Jason also wondered how long he could keep the idea that he was a Mandalorian going, maybe just a bit longer to see how far they would treat him. They might tell hims something useful after all.

"I see," came the simple response of the Mandalorian, "are you hunting? Or simply on business?" Of course, Isley was not attempting to dig too far into the man's business; but it had been far too long since he had a decent manhunt. If the Mandalorian-esque individual had such an opportunity on his hands, and it did not conflict with any of the laws he had to uphold, then he'd be more than happy to lend his saber and blaster to the cause. Of course, he did not voice as much, for that hinged upon Sisk's response to his inquiry. Once he had concluded speaking, his fellow Mandalorian, @[member="Neskar A'toll"], greeted him in a manner that Isley was accustomed to from his own kind. He could not help but smile from underneath his visor and regard the man with a friendly nod.

"Indeed it is," he said, punctuating his words with a sip from his Whiskey, "I hope your travels have been well. You presume correctly, of course, the allure of credits in my wallet brings me to even the most remote poodoo-hole."

Tracyn was not like most Jedi, most of them preferred to clear their minds through tranquility, peace and meditation. Tracyn got his piece of mind from doing things. Acta Non Verba. After posing as a low-level mercenary (idiots didn't know Mandalorian armor differences, Mando and Super Commando could be the same thing to them), and took him in with a job for some low-level crime lord that planned to get some slaves out to the outer-rim. He left that ship. They didn't. And the star they were near probably didn't mind increasing it's mass by one tiny bit, either. Tracyn turned to the collection of Mandalorians in the bar, but said nothing. He left his helmet on the ship, and placed his lightsaber on his right hip, letting it display to those around him. He wasn't sure of his status with his people, well, ex-people. Dar'manda or not, he was wearing his armor. He earned it. He fought for it. He maintained it. And he'd be damned if anyone tried to take it from him.

Tracyn's gaze turned to the Zeltron at the bar, and he raised his Ne'tra gal towards her, giving her that handsome grin. Tracyn presumed that she might be CIS, she had a sort of emotional state of someone in control, and a bit prideful. Spook. Agent, something like that. He knew their type. Not saying that he didn't mind seeing them once and a while, especially this one.

SImone's head tilted as another raised a glass to her, she flashed @[member="Tracyn Ordo"] a dazzling smile, before draining her drink again, still paying very close attention to the conversation close to her. It was clear that one didn't want to expand in further detail on the reason for him being in this dark corner of the galaxy yet the mandalorian persisted in prying. She smirked to herself and tapped the bar for another drink, hopeful for a bar brawl. She couldn't help herself when Isley mentioned the alluring call of credits.

"Fascinating to think that no matter what the business is we are forced to the arse end of nowhere just to earn a living. Says a lot about the governments that promise easy living, don't you think?"

"It's sort of business, and a hunt in it's own way. The person i'm looking for has something I can use for my weapon." He was looking for someone who had a lightsaber crystal he could add to his saber, it was rumored the crystal could change the color of the lightsaber to one with no hue what so ever, leaving the color of the blade effectively black. While he adored his silver colored lightsaber, he also liked to collect other color crystals simply for having them. He already had a blue, red, green, and yellow colored crystal, he was still looking for a select set of crystals, and the black crystal was what he was looking for now.

"Thank you Sir," she said to the Mandalorian @[member="Isley Verd"] as he offered to pay for a round. "Could I get something to eat as well please, bar tender?" She downed another shot, enjoying the warm feeling that caressed her throat and welled up in her belly, curious as to why she had caused someone to take notice as for once she didn't want to command the attention of anybody but a bar tender.

Once more, the Mandalorian raised his helmet in order to indulge in a sip of his beverage. Whilst the fine alcohol raced down his throat, the comment of the Zeltron reached his ears. Finishing his gulp with a heavy swallow, Isley exhaled and lowered his helm, turning his attention briefly to the pink-skinned woman. "Sometimes, the salary of easy living just isn't enough to satisy greed. We all have wants in this world." From there, he turned his attention back upon @[member="Neskar A'toll"], who had posed the question to begin with. "How's about yourself? What's brought you all the way out here?" he inquired. He took a moment to punctuate his words with yet another sip before looking to Jason Sisk.

"That...Is an interesting affair to say the least." he began, setting his now-empty glass upon the counter. "What say you to some extra eyes on this hunt of yours?" Of course, he was referring to himself, but he also looked to Neskar to see if he was interested. After all, it wasn't too often that three men, armored as Mandalorians, got together in a cantina. Finally, the Mandalorian gave the woman he had provided a drink for a polite nod and motioned for her to come closer to the group.

"Come, come, I don't bite. No promises about these two."

"If you are up for helping me look for someone who has the crystal I am looking for, then yes." He was up for help, surely someone in this place knew where a lightsaber crystal could be. Jason also wondered how long he could keep the Mandalorian shtick going, maybe for a while now.
