Journey to a Vowelless World (Siobhan)

Tamara smiled wanly as [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] was carried out. “I’m afraid your wife will be rather less grateful. She did make it very clear I was to keep you safe….”

Leaving that thought in the air, the two parted for now, Tamara heading to the main passenger area. As the transport lifted up Tamara finally felt the Force return to her. Letting out a relieved breath she sunk back into her chair, closing her eyes and letting the life energy flow through her. She shouldn’t have stayed so long in that null field, it made things…problematic.

Regardless when they set down and Siobhan was taken to a hospital, Tamara went with her and whilst the other was recovering in a bacta tank, she stayed nearby to make sure nothing happened.

If Siobhan had still been awake she would have muttered something about still having all her limbs and not being a fragile flower that needed protecting. Well, at least her wife had not sent Maelion to watch over her again! Even though Siobhan's chances to knock boots with [member="Tamara"] were just as low! As in zero.

Siobhan dimly felt the Force return to her grasp as the transport took off into the air, its awesome power once more flowing through and amplifying her. However, as she was already drifting into unconsciousness she had little time for this sensation as her eyes closed. For a change her slumber was not interrupted by torment inflicted by annoying alt versions of herself. Indeed she had a rather silly grin on her face, perhaps the result of the painkillers, or maybe of non-family friendly dreams that may involve both the redhead she was married to and a certain time traveller, though obviously Siobhan did not know about the time travelling part...

Ahem, moving on, Siobhan would spend several hours floating in a bacta tank while the miraculously healing substance worked its...healing magic. This writer is apparently not feeling very witty tonight, but then it is late! Eventually Tamara would be notified that Siobhan had been moved to one of the hospital rooms. This writer is not sure how long medigel...bacta needs, but assumes it would take a while.

Though it seems that much of what this writer knows has been retconned out of existence, along with everything else ever, it was likely a couple of hours.

With Siobhan in a hospital room, a place she was familiar with in principle but not in specifics, Tamara came to see her.

“The doctors have assured me the damage isn’t too bad. You’ll be back on your feet in no time,” Tamara told her.

[member="Tamara"]

Retcons are not always bad. Well, unless they're of the Anders lives no matter what you do variety. This one finds themselves desiring a noncanon crossover where Anders gets permakilled.

"Been through a lot more. Couple repeater rounds is like a walk in the park," Siobhan said nonchalantly, having evidently taken well to bacta and painkillers as she found herself in yet another hospital room. It had been a while since she had seen one again. This writer is presuming this takes place before the whole getting incinerated thing on Aurum when fighting Vong and space orks.

"Thanks for your help. You'll be well compensated. So...I take it you were masking your Force signature when I met you," she stated. Siobhan was far from being the sharpest crayon in the box and had a tendency to be quite oblivious, especially when it came to things that did not affect her - because she clearly was the most important! - but she had caught Tamara's line after the time traveller had saved her from getting fragged, so it was not that difficult to put two and two together. She was familiar with the technique after all, having been taught the very basics.

“I bow to your experience when it comes to grievous bodily harm,” Tamara said with a smile.
“You’re quite welcome, Siobhan. And yes, I was.” Extending her hand she called a datapad to her hand with the Force. “Your wife contracted me to help you out…not that you really need it, but with the whole Ysalimiri thing she knew I had experience in dealing with them.”
She smiled slightly, as if remembering something. The time they had met perhaps? One isn’t sure if Siobhan would be jealous.

“What I am looking for actually is a ship of some sort. Coach class is getting dull, and my previous ship ended up atomised after using it to ram a Sith frigate…so do you have anything I can acquire from you for a good price?”

[member="Tamara"]

Siobhan was a good deal more the jealous type than Tegaea, and strongly possessive. Though if she suspected that they had...enjoyed each other's company then her first reaction might have been to want a threesome! After all, that was the best way to become reacquainted, in her opinion at least.

"Hmm. Let me think...there's a Tachyon class we could provide you with. Not that big on comfort, but works as a mobile home and transport." It was also known for a very installation of false telesponders.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Tamara didn’t know that exact model, but it sounded like what she was looking for. “Sounds great!” she said enthusiastically. “Anything’s better than economy class meals,” she said with a snort.

“Well, thanks all around. I might come to Kaeshana again sometime…if you’d like. Just for a visit, you understand, but I rather like the Eldorai.” She considered that. “Well…mostly. Their current Queen is the business though. I’d like to pay my respects again, if she remembers me.”

[member="Tamara"]

"Wait...you know Anya? From when? She never mentioned you. Nor did Tegs," Siobhan said. Did they have...fun without me? The direction Siobhan's thoughts took were...predictable. She and Tegaea had lived relatively independent lives during the latter's Dark Star days, though they had often worked on jobs together. Well, jobs and....other things.

But that had been a decade ago and Tamara looked younger than she was!

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Tamara gave an airy wave of the hand. “It was quite a while ago,” she said with a smile. “I didn’t know them at the same time, either, rather before they knew each other…or you.”
The exact nature of these meetings was left unsaid, but likely Siobhan would assume something which just as likely wasn’t the truth.

[member="Tamara"]

Siobhan looked perplexed. Anya had met Tegaea very soon after being exiled and stranded on Corellia, right after defending herself against an attempt to sell into slavery. She had not left Kaeshana before that. Can you be even more vague? "You mean before Anya was exiled? That was more than a decade ago. What's your anti-aging creme?" she asked sardonically. "I mean, you are human, aren't you?"

Yes, it might be surprising, but people did actually get older and while Siobhan's playby had not changed it was obviously an idealised version of how she looked. While still attractive she was probably a great deal more marred by vicious scars than the avatar would have the viewer believe and was not escaping aging. But Tamara looked a good deal younger than her, she would guess that she was about twenty, and yet as far as Siobhan knew was human. Perhaps there was body-hopping spirit possession involved. She dismissed that claim. Likewise Tamara did not sparkle!

Tamara raised her eyebrows. “Now, now, it’s not nice to ask a lady her age,” she said.
Deftly, she attempted to steer the conversation away from any discussion of herself.
“Do you have any idea where the Sith were shipping all those Ysalimiri? They can’t have been keeping them all for yourself.”

[member="Tamara"]

"Hey, I just want which creme you're using. I could use it," Siobhan grumbled, noting clearly how Tamara was trying to steer the conversation away from herself. She would have to question Anya and Tegaea about this. Preferrably ask her wife while....wearing a tight leather outfit and letting the redhead worship her. She was Mistress Thuella after all!

"Not sure. Maybe Fringe - got plenty of Sith there, would pay well, technically still at war with the Protectorate, treaty with the Republic's going to break down sooner or later; they'd have use for them. But they're on good enough terms with the Mandalorians that they could've acquired the ysalamiri without unstable middlemen like that. Well, there's been rumours about a new 'Sith council' rising in the far rim. Dumb move, right next to the Mandalorians and the Republic. There seems to be like half a dozen Sith splinter groups these days. Not that any of them have done anything impressive, beyond a moderately pathetic attack on Fondor spearheaded by Apparatus and Kaine and space orks trying to pillage Coruscant. Perhaps even Black Sun." There were also those Horde savages, but Siobhan dismissed that possibility since this Sith group seemed of the space nazi human supremacist sort and did not have any space orks inside it.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

This writer assumes that discussing decade old encounters would probably not be high on the agenda if leather outfits and worshipping was involved!

“Yes, it is all rather chaotic,” Tamara said diplomatically. “I see you’ve given it a lot of thought. Well, I’m pleased to have finally met you, Siobhan. If you don’t mind, I’ll show myself out. If and when you want to reward me, let me know where to pick it up. Thank you again.”

[member="Tamara"]

"Part of the job when you specialise in thrashing Sith Lords," Siobhan responded. She would have raised herself up to shake Tamara's hand or something like that, but unfortunately her legs were not in a cooperative mood.

"Thank you. Probably on Kaeshana. Wouldn't mind seeing you again. Good luck with...whatever you're doing."

And so this adventure was concluded. Tamara got a ship, Firemane plenty of ysalamiri, hooray, everyone was happy! Except the Sith but they sucked.
