(+) Nar Shaddaa Native: As a native of Nar Shaddaa, Josiah grew up with a mindset vastly different than the typical Jedi. In order to survive those "mean streets", he had to adopt the awareness and creativity to make a weapon out of anything...or to find an exit where one isn't evident.
(+) Heritage: Josiah has studied at the feet of three of the Galaxy's greatest Masters. [member="Darron Wraith"], [member="Ben Watts"], and [member="Ember Rekali"] each had a hand in cultivating the Jedi Master of the present. As such, he is a rather resourceful individual, strong in the Light, and is not the sort of fellow a Sith would delight in meeting.
(~) Puffcakes: They're damn good. Enough said.
(-) Impulse: Josiah is the sort of person to, literally, call out [member="Ashin Varanin"]. Enough said.
(-) Specialization: As his focus is on a core handful of force powers, Josiah has holes in certain areas. Most prominent of these is the area of mental defense.
Appearance
Josiah is a Near-Human of athletic build. Standing at over six feet in height, stature is easily the most recognizable of his physical features. For the most part, Denko sports a rather humble attire consisting of standard, Jedi Robes. However, if the situation calls for it, he may borrow a suit of armor from the Alliance armory...before griping about how his beard won't fit in the helmet.
Biography
Dissatisfaction.
The word, in the context of Josiah Denko, seemed to be an understatement.
In the beginning, he was a zealot. His belief? That the Light existed solely to extinguish the Darkness. This staunch mindset saw him wage many battles alongside a variety of nations. From the Galactic Republic to the Fel Imperium, to be precise. Yet, with each victory...with each defeat...Josiah felt discontent growing within him. It seemed as though, no matter how hard he fought, the Darkness continued to thrive. No matter who he championed, the Darkness would overcome.
As it was, the discontent pointed the Jedi inward. He stepped away from the war, hung up his saber, and exiled himself to a world called Manaan. There, in the relative safety of caverns deep did he delve into the will of the Force. There did he learn from those wiser than he...and more about himself along the way. When it was all said and done, a different man emerged from the caverns: one ready and willing to fight again. And his beliefs? They had changed for the better. Original Version Here.
