STRENGTHS
  • Aegis -
    • Crafted from alchemically perfected Phrik, the armor is able to withstand even shatter point - as it simply doesn't have any actual 'weakness' in its completely uniform structure. Much like phrik itself, the armor is carefully forged, then manipulated on a very small level to alter any possible imperfections that may exist - leading to one of the toughest materials in the known galaxy, able to defend itself from blasters, slugthrowers, lightsabers, and various other iterations of it.
  • Sith'ari -
    • Due to its extremely taxing alchemic process, the armor is able to withstand Force Light - and in turn, protect its wearer of such. Add in its ability to magnify ones dark side potential, repair itself when it is damaged, and its ability to simply make one stronger in the force simply by wearing it; the material itself is an astonishing example of what Sith are truly capable of creating.
  • The Screams -
    • Infused with the living energy of Sith and Jedi alike, Darksteel passively gives off emotions that can harm someone's ability to use the Force if they require 'zen', and improve someone's ability who can feed off emotions. While NFU's are incapable of hearing it, and it can be silenced by its wearer at will, the reality is that it is an extremely dangerous thing to even be near when one is a light side focused force wielder.
WEAKNESSES
  • Elemental -
    • Because of its lightweight nature, the density of the material allows for energy like flamethrowers to essentially pass through it due to the wide spread nature of it, compared to the pinpoint energy of a blaster. This means both heat and cold can bypass the material with ease - making it extremely dangerous for the wearer to wield on planets that require that protection - from Mustafar to Hoth.
  • Shatter -
    • Unable to flex in almost any capacity, heavy blunt or kinetic strikes can still pass through the armor - even if the round or weapon itself won't. This makes the material dangerous to wear when facing heavier slug throwers or even hammer weapons without some sort of kinetic compensation beneath the plates. Power gel, for example, or other materials - else the wearer's insides would be bruised and turned to mush otherwise.
DESCRIPTION

Following the creation of various weapons and armor for the Lords of the Sith, Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean decided that releasing a specially crafted material to their alchemic masters would be essential in spreading the effectiveness of their efforts. Knowing many of his own works are based on Phrik, Maliphant decided to create a material based directly off that; taking phrik as it is known, and slowly working through it on the smallest level to break away any imperfections, not dissimilar to the creation of a holocron, but magnified to the nth degree.
With Phrik as a platform to leap from, Maliphant created a material built with all his alchemic knowledge infused within it. Force sensitive blood is poured into each detail of it, helping it to contain souls of the damned - using their power to magnify the wearers or wielders as it requires. The screams of the damned in addition passively disrupt a jedi's connection to the light, much as the Nihil did to captured jedi during the High Republic - as if they were surrounded by the tortured masses of entire populations. This emotion is able to be toggled by the sith wearing it, assuming they are able to handle the boost in power through the emotions of the material, but additionally allows it to self repair even when it is damaged.
Overall, this creates an armor that is nearly indestructable - even to a level past phrik, however due to its rigidness has limitations. The depths of its hardness makes the passthrough absorption borderline lethal with strong enough force - requiring some sort of undersuit to compensate for the vast amount of kinetic damage it will deal with. While the material is nigh invulnerable, that also means those beneath it must deal with that much more bruises and trauma by comparison.
