The Shadow
Time to dust off this character once more (I swear this isn't intentional), but the general theme of this character is his path to Redemption. He's been on quite a journey, and yet the story goes on. Any Jedi looking to thread for social or mission-related tasks? Sign him up. Any Sith need someone to oppose them or to find someone who can relate with? He's the guy for you. (Or if you just want a lightsaber duel, that works too). He was a bit of a soldier and mercenary after the Eternal Empire, so he can encounter familiar faces or those who might recognize him from that time. Or if you're seeking someone who can teach them in the Force (albeit there are surely better people to train under), but he'll at least punt the would-be Padawan or said Apprentice in the right direction. Such a journey, of course, is not an easy endeavor, but I have a couple of ideas to spin with any Jedi, Sith, or other who is interested;
1) Long ago, during his time with the Wardens of Shroud, he once worked with a cruel Sith Lord (shocker i know) on the Pouffra system, but this can be changed narratively speaking if you wish to have it affect your character in some way. The Sith Lord used a frontier village as an experiment in Sith Alchemy to produce Sithspawn by tampering with the local food supply. Eventually, the Sith Lord had ordered Rath to poison the village's water supply so that it'd hasten their monstrous transformations. However, unbeknownst to the Sith Lord, Rath purposefully injected too much of the toxin so that the villagers would finally be killed off as a form of cold mercy. The village was later bombarded into ash and smoke to cover the lord's experiments, but eventually, years later, Rath for some reason visits the same location as some of the local fauna have been turning feral over the years because they happen to forage close to the same ruined town. Whether you're someone accompanying Rath on this task to investigate and locate the source, a client who pushed the mission at his direction, or simply someone who has their own motives that coincidentally are aligned with the task at hand. I'll leave that up to you. Bonus points if your character originated from the village for extratrauma character development.
2) It's not unusual for Rath to receive visions within the Force, and often he would weigh his options whether to follow it or not. For some reason, the visions lure Rath into Kashyyyk, and this reason could easily be someone strong in the Force, whether they're young or not, or indoctrinated with the Sith's Ideology. I'll leave it to your reasoning. This would be a good introduction for a new character, but it could also be a good meet and clash with a Dark Sider if you're up for it. The dice can roll either way, but ultimately, I hope we all have fun writing these stories.
