STRENGTHS
- Public Archive: Providing access to all who come into contact with the Shrine, needing only the physical touch to activate and bare witness to centuries of knowledge collected across the Jedi Academy Network and The Jedi Comport.
- Historical Monuments: Providing the Galaxy a tool to learn more about the Jedi Order in the hope of spreading their doctrine and influencing a greater number of peoples toward living with conviction and integrity, these Datacron Shrines provide a greater sense of a Jedi presence for the Galaxy within reach.
- Sensitive Information: These shrines do not possess knowledge in the practice of the Force, and any abilities associated with the Force cannot be attained through the technology.
- Vulnerable: These shrines do not harbor any sort of protective mechanisms and are otherwise vulnerable to energy based munitions such as ION Blasts that will render it inoperable.
The concept of the Jedi Shrine was brought to Caedyn by a member of the Outer Planets Alliance during the Jedi Knight's service within the Outer Rim Territories.
The purpose of these shrines were to spread the doctrine and reputation of the Jedi Order across worlds that might otherwise rarely be visited by members of the Galactic Order, to deliver knowledge based upon the various different organizations of Jedi known to history, describing their differences as well as their similarities and above all else their endeavor to serve the Force and fight for the Galaxy's benefit.
Constructed using the funds of House Arenais, these monuments to the Jedi of the Galaxy are made in honor of all those who have passed, and those who would grow to become the new generations of Jedi ahead of time. With an unknown number of World's these monuments could be placed upon, their creation has been built with basic materials such as durasteel or permacrete in order to protect the datacron's within.
Sensitive to the Sentient touch, a hand placed upon the metal block will see the datacron activate within and a holographic depiction of a historical Jedi figure will appear atop the surface of the shrine, responsive to the user and available to answer questions providing the knowledge is stored within.
