[Strengths]:

:: Jamming Piercing Capability :: | The Jedi Emergency Beacon is capable of 'punching' through jamming.

[Weaknesses]:

:: Unpinnable :: The further the signal is acquired, the less reliabilty of pinpointing the location. To be more specific, the planet from which the beacon is activated will be clear but the exact location on it would be a wild guess depending on the range the signal was received. On the other hand the closer one is to acquiring the signal the easier to pinpoint in most cases that would be the enemy, thus giving them an advantage.

:: No Messaging :: As it is simply a beacon, no communique/message can be sent with it.

\\DESCRIPTION\\

The Jedi Emergency Beacon was designed to accomodate the needs of Jedi requiring emergency support for whatever the reason. It is capable of piercing through jamming thus giving the user an edge by relying on the reliability of the beacon.

On the other hand, it is a beacon carrying a lot of risk. For its purpose to call on support from interstellar distances, the user/Jedi gives out his location rather clearly to any adversaries he might be attempting to evade and survive against. The beacon can be labelled as a last ditch desperate tool. It will send the signal out through jamming but it's all about praying that the call is answered on time.

The frequency is generally known among Jedi circle that the beacon most likely belongs to a Jedi.

Unless someone killed one and is springing a trap.
