Jedi at Outpost 09

Dominator looked down, when miss Roberts talked about hobbies. Did he have one? The whole work in the Jedi Order took his time and didn't have time for hobbies. "Well, I should think about something too. Maybe I can do something on Naboo?" Dominator said. Only a bit of money was needed to buy a house on Naboo and he waited for it. "By the way, do you know, where to work or something to get some extra money?" He asked.

"Never too late to learn. It would be fun to have a hobbie but I dont really have one. Ive been studing for so long that I forgot what it was like to just sit around and talk to people" Carmen was so much set on being a good Jedi that she didnt really have a social life out of this one that was happening now. but it felt great to do something like this.

"Friend Dominator. Can you play an instrument? I know of some people who pay good money for recordings of music. Would you be interested? I can arrange an meeting if you are."

"Oh yes. Indeed. Music can pay well. The Jedi Service Corps also pay according to occupation. Whether that be as a builder, carpenter, smith, or some other such profession. I started out as just a volunteer builder. Doing manual labor on Coruscant. Now I am a supervisor with a higher pay grade and more responsibilities. Such as building Outpost Nine here."

Karen shrugged. It was why she didn't have any hobbies. She was stuck between a job and her more priestly duties as a Jedi. Though they meshed well together being on Tython.

"You could say that working is my hobby. ...I don't know. I'm sure Naboo would be a fabulous place to visit."

Dominator thought a little. Maybe he should consider The Jedi Service Corps? Though he didn't have any remarkable skills in any jobs. "I think I am only good for cleaning the Jedi rooms..." Dominator said happily. He made fun on his 'perfect' skill in every subject. "I remember I had a hobby many years ago. I built sculptures using leaves, rocks, wood, different kinds of stuff. My sister taught me. She was great. Her art skills were awesome, so he was a great teacher. But when I joined the Jedi Order, my mother destroyed all these sculptures I made with heart. I can't just forgive her now. After so much she did to me." He wasn't Dominator. Well, actually he was, but Dominator would never hate her mother so much. Though he missed his sister.

Carmen was happy to hear about Equa's sculptings when he said that his mother destroied them. "Thats sad. Im sorry she did that to you Equa. I would have liked to see one of them. I always have loved looking at art." Carmen thought for a second and then said with enthasum "What if you were to make a new one? Have it as a decoration here on Outpost 9? It would give the place more Home feeling."

"I agree that would be a wonderful idea. Perhaps it would inspire others during these dark times, that not all hope is lost." Inigo said energetically, "A boost of morale, yes?"

Karen tried not to judge. Alien cultures have a way of being different. Still. Smashing hard work and effort was never a fun idea.

"That is a welcome idea Carmen. The Jedi Order is a community of many, many species. Perhaps Umbaran sculpture would hold a new meaning for us all? And depending on the material used, we could place it anywhere in the Outpost."

Karen smiled and continued eating. She needed to catch up before her food got cold. She refrained from talking now. Only pondering.

Dominator cut his beef and looked at it. Actually, he thought and his eyes just paused in the place. But then he shook his head a little to come out of the thoughts and he put the fork into the meat. He would have to find his sister in order to start sculpting again. But it wouldn't be easy. He put the piece of beef into his mouth and chew it. To be polite, he didn't say anything during eating the piece. "Well, I would be pleased, but... I don't remember very much, so I have to contact my sister..." He said after swallowing his food.

Carmen saw that Darren was troubled when he started to talk about his sister. She looked at him and said "Did something happen to her?" Carmen neve had to deal with stuff like this and was new to it. but if she could, she would help.

Inigo stopped playing and listened closely to the story. If a fellow Jedi's sister was in trouble, he would gladly volunteer to lend a hand in whatever way he could in aid.

Equa liked to talk in short nothings. I was rather odd. But what did he say? Finding a sister. He did not entirely finish his thought so Karen was left only wondering,

"Dominator? ...Is everything all right? You have seemed rather, ...different. Since the encounter on Rhommamoul. Are you sure your okay?"

"Yes... I am. Almost. But that's okay." Dominator said. He didn't want to take all the discussion to him. He wanted to enjoy talking to other Jedi, especially young Jedi, like him. "I just have to find her. After leaving Umbara, I haven't seen her. I don't know, what she is doing, where she is..." He sighed. "But that's okay too." Now he just had to find his sister. Maybe he can get some information about her from his mother? Or maybe he can get information from the Galactic Senate?

"But how do you like Tython?" He asked, trying to change the topic.

Carmen was stil cirous about what actualy happend and would bring up the subject later. She might ask Karen about it. She went along with the subject change. "Its pretty good. Just sometimes its boring around here."

"Rather peaceful. I find it very conductive to meditation and balancing myself." Pausing as if considering his next question, "You all seem to have some experience outside of the temple walls, I hope you won't mind me asking but what do you think are the biggest threats out there? I hope you don't mind my curiousity is getting the better of me."

Karen looked at Equa. Baffled really. But perhaps all Umbaran's are so private a people. Yes. She could learn about his family later, she supposed. Mmm. Then Carmen said it was easy to get bored and Karen wiggled her nose. Good heavens. Roberts had never been so busy,

"Tython is a vast world Carmen. I recommend looking just a bit harder for your adventure. Because, trust me. It's out there. I myself spend time working, training, trading, crafting, cooking, forging, reading, playing volleyball, and sometimes even flirting at the Seraph's Bar with the soldiers. Oh yes. For the brave woman-warrior in all of us, there is much to accomplish here. ...Hehe. You just can't be shy about it. You must only be brave."

Thirty years without a Jedi Order to guide her had forged Karen into a very unique individual. Being a member of this new, 'Teferi's Jedi Order' was her wildest privilege yet. She turned to their bard and smiled,

"Idleness, Inigo. ...Oh yes. I know. But, indeed. Idleness is our biggest threat in the galaxy thus far."

She paused, and knew that was not the answer he wanted.

"You see. Our galaxy has been ravaged by plague, famine, war, and loss. Hundreds of years worth of death and disaster. If we the Jedi are to lead our new allies into another Golden Age? We must do so with all our effort, time, might, mind, and strength. ...Hehe. Indeed. All we good champions must simply do? Is choose where to start."

"Tython is one of the greatest planets I have been on. It is not so well known by other factions. Just... the Jedi Order. And yes, the planet needs to became the centre of the Jedi Order, since Coruscant is already so strong... and powerful, that we need a smaller planet just for us." Dominator said. "Miss Roberts, I'd try to create some sculptures for the temple." He smiled. Maybe he can create something without the help of his sister. Though he had learned sculpturing many, many years ago and didn't know, if he can really do anything beautiful. And he had thought about joining the Educational Corps...

Carmen was glad that she found out something to do. It was talking to other people. She ment that she didnt like the work but knew that it must be done. "Yes Ill see that I can try and do something. Equa that would be great if you could. It would make the place have a home touch to it. Rather than a prision felling.... Not that it does Karen. Im just saying it may help some people think of home." Carmen took a moment to think about Inigos question and responded "Ingornace. The thought that some one can just float along by with out another thought. Thats what I fear most. Someones going to take a postion of power that they dont deserve by floating by everyone else."

"So much to do and so few hands to help. We have our work cut out for us then. But never fear I believe that the Force will provide us with the answers we would need. I just wish I would get assigned to a mission soon, I mean helping rebuild is one thing but helping to right injustice, well you could say its one of my fondest hopes."

"Of course Equa. Build your statues and bring them to me. Then I'd be happy to help you find a place for them. Always."

She smiled and to Carmen. Thinking of home. It was a radical idea for the Dread Pirate Roberts. ...I mean Karen. Karen didn't have a home. Only Tython. Hmm. She turned to Inigo.

"Our new Council of Masters doesn't currently contract or outsource with any anybody that I know of. It is unlikely Inigo, that any mission you might undertake would be anywhere but here. On Tython. ...Though. Perhaps... Perhaps it would be best if you took your destiny into your own hands. Don't wait for some old stuffed-shirt to hand you glory. Oh no. We are Jedi. Not mere mercenaries for the Masters to boss around. ...Seize your justice Inigo. Seize your future."

She paused. It was important that no Jedi used the Council as a crutch. Each Jedi of this new galaxy must be self-sufficient, learned, experienced, and eventually; ungodly powerful. They must be the role models. The supermen. The true Gods of righteousness for a new golden age of prosperity. If only to survive. If only to endure.

"With great power comes great responsibility. And this responsibility does not rest upon the Council's shoulders. Oh no. This mantle rests upon yours Inigo. It rests upon Equa. And Carmen. And me. ...We are your peers, your friends, and your allies. ...But we are also a privilege. One day you will learn that you must become strong enough to stand without us. Because one day. After the Sith have come to Tython and scoured this world like the plague..."

She paused to let that linger,

"...You might be the only one of us thats left."
