- Force Activated - These lightsabers have been created without any emitter switch, relying instead on activation through the Force to ensure that only a Force User could utilize them.

WEAKNESSES
- Not Water Resistant: These lightsabers can not be activated underwater and, if they are or the blade becomes submerged, it can render the lightsaber useless.
- "Haysian smelt, best conductor.": These lightsabers have sections made of Haysian smelt, or Haysian gold. The emitter, part of the body, and the pommel are constructed from the material which, if hit by lightning, could be very destructive towards the lightsaber.
- Force Dead? Uh-oh: If inside a Force Dead zone, this lightsaber cannot be used.
These lightsabers are the creation of Darth Qanah, Sith Lord of Jealousy, Greed, and Desire. These lightsabers were created to replace Rann Thress' previous lightsabers, Amber and Emerald because Darth Qanah no longer associates himself with his former name, or indeed, his personality. By this point, Qanah is an entirely different person from Rann Thress, and his lightsabers reflect that. By bleeding his kyber crystals, Qanah has replaced the lightsabers beautiful Green and Orange coloration with blood Red, but that wasn't enough. Ultimately, every facet of his old sabers was made or customized to suit Rann Thress, not Qanah, so he set about to replace the entire thing.
Striving to show the Universe that Darth Qanah is, or one day will be, the best, everything about him is designed to invoke a challenge or awe. His robes are inlaid with golden threads to enhance their beauty, his helmet is red and gold, similarly designed to be beautiful. As if to say, "I can enter battle looking this good and exit battle looking this good because you can't touch me"....and his lightsabers were designed with the same mentality in mind. He constructed his lightsaber primarily for looks. Fashion over function. The duraplast base was only chosen because it went well with the Electrum Inlay pattern that Qanah had desired for his lightsabers The white and gold combination was extremely appealing to him, but it lacked something more. Something extra. So, Qanah added the Haysian smelt to round out his design: Two beautifully crafted Lightsabers producing blood red blades that, with the last minute addition of Force activated mechanisms, only Darth Qanah can use.
They were his, they were beautiful, and he'd never let anyone else ever touch what was his.
Instead, he'd use what was his....to take what was theirs.
