NAME: Jaidha Yndrel
FACTION: Sith Order
RANK: Sith Knight
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 25
SEX: Cis Female
HEIGHT: 158 cm
WEIGHT: 58 kg
EYES: Yellow (Darkside Corruption)
HAIR: Black
SKIN: Pale (Darkside Corruption)
FORCE SENSITIVITY: Yes, Darkside trained

APPEARANCE:
Jaidha is shorter and leaner than average, likely the result of her rough upbringing, although getting access to training and resources since then has helped her develop some muscle. Her skin is pale with jet black hair, usually kept short or tied up in a bun to keep it under control, while her yellow, bloodshot eyes show the early signs of Darkside corruption. Although she has a number of small calluses, cuts and scars around her body, especially her hands, she has two especially prominent scars on her face, one over her right eye and one along her left cheek.

ATTRIBUTES:
Jaidha is oddly reserved for a Sith Warrior, appearing calm and cordial even in the middle of a duel to the death, as she believes in directing one's emotions, not being directed by them. Not to say that she's a pacifist, being raised in the gutter has given her a deep, deep well of seething resentment and hatred to draw power from. She makes regular use of this power as Jaidha is a woman of action, believing that the Sith philosophy works best in direct, violent practice, not skulking around in shadowy back-alleys or chanting over a cauldron of Nuna blood.

Strengths:
  • Touched by Darkness: Jaidha has been trained in the ways of the Darkside since she was a child, showing particular aptitude for channeling the Force inward to strength herself, hone her senses, and defend against external attacks.
  • Master Duelist: With her master Ivo's extensive training and her own experience in duels, Jaidha has become a deadly sword fighter with an arsenal of techniques at her disposal.
  • Hatred Harnessed: Rather than brute rage, Jaidha relies on cold hatred to fuel her Darkside powers, making her noticeably more controlled and focused when using her powers compared to other practitioners.
Weaknesses:
  • Secular Sith: Jaidha has almost no aptitude, or interest for that matter, in the more mystical aspects of the Darkside such as sorcerous powers, alchemy, or Sith religion.
  • Gutter-Runt: Spending most of her childood half-starved has left Jaidha with a slight frame and despite her extensive physical training, she's still weaker than average without the Force flowing through her.
  • Illegitimacy: Between her origins as a street urchin and the anticlimactic death of her master, Jaidha often feels as though she has something to prove among her fellow Darksiders.

BIOGRAPHY:
Jaidha's earliest memories are of an orphanage on the Outer Rim world of Terminus, a dark, dank building overflowing with the unwanted offspring of spacers and local workers. The caretakers barely lived up to the title and the other children had no problem adding to the overall misery of the institution. Delinquency and petty crime was common among the orphans and Jaidha was no exception, picking pockets and lifting small items out of crates before she was 10 years old. But a botched robbery would do more to change her life than anything else.

She knew at first glance the man didn't belong on Terminus, his hair was too kept and his boots were too clean, probably a lost tourist or merchant, although something about him seemed...more than normal. She had one chance to clean his pockets, but instead ended up slipping a strange, metallic cylinder from the back of his belt before disappearing into the back alleys of the lower ports. Sitting alone in the dark, she managed to get the strange device activated only to find the stranger standing directly across from her in the gloom. She lunged at him, and what happened next was so quick she barely knew what hit her, she just found herself on her back, with a painful burning sensation above her eye.

The man introduced himself as Lord Ivo Yndrel of the Sith, and he said there was power in Jaidha, the same as his own, and if she could survive honing that power she could be as formidable as him. The choice was obvious, Jaidha joined the Sith Order in a heartbeat and became Yndrel's personal Acolyte. His training was brutal, not just in the Darkside or lightsaber dueling, but in etiquette, history, and language as well. Failure was punished severely, but success was rewarded, and Jaidha learned quickly from her mistakes. The duo even developed a strange mutual respect, or as much respect as they could muster while regularly trying to kill each other.

This all changed when the civil war broke out and the Sith Order began to crumble, scattering its members across the galaxy, with Jaidha and Ivo going into hiding in the Outer Rim. Jaidha had learned to survive in these conditions, but her aging master wasn't accustomed to ship hopping or scrounging for food. The strain took its toll on Ivo, until eventually the aged Sith took ill and, whether out of pity, contempt, or some third thing, Jaidha put her old master down with his own saber. By the time the Sith Order reemerged, Jaidha returned to the fold alone, with nothing to her name but two lightsabers and a worn signet ring.

SKILLS:
Jaidha has extensive training in all 7 styles of lightsaber combat, but specializes in a mix of Shii-Cho and Niman, combining the two basic forms into a well-rounded and fluid style. She is also highly trained in more unusual areas of dueling, such as Jar'Kai dual wielding, Sokan environmental manipulation, Dun Moch mind games, and even Trakata maneuvers. While she prefers a dual blade style in combat, she is familiar enough with other blade styles to know how to defend against a lightpike or energy whip. Aside from lightsaber dueling, Jaidha is well versed in Control and Sense aspects of the Force, especially those that enhance the body, but is far less skilled in external or Alter related powers.

In additional to her training as a Sith warrior, Jaidha is educated in Sith philosophy and history, as well as general galactic history. She's been trained in social and courtly etiquette as well as speaking Basic, High Galactic, ur-Kittât, and a touch of Mando'a. She also never forgot the basic street-survival skills that kept her alive on Terminus, such as stealth, picking pockets, and hunting small vermin.

EQUIPMENT AND SHIP:
  • 2 red lightsabers, one standard, one shoto
  • Utility Belt
  • The Ring of House Yndrel
