Description: The J-type Amidala-class Elite Transport is a modernized, upgraded version of the classic J-type 327 Royal Transport. Designed for the use of nobles and royalty, the Amidala allows its owners to live in spatial or hyperspatial comfort for extended periods of time, keep in contact from anywhere, and reach their destinations in a stunningly short amount of time when desired. The Amidala is the ultimate starship for the elite citizen of the galaxy.
The Amidala has room for a crew of seventeen: Pilot, copilot, comms officer, engineer, navigator, diplomatic aide, shield operator, security chief, valet, chef, sous-chef, and six gunnery/security officers. Minimum combat functionality requires pilot, shield operator, and gunners, for a total of eight. An additional eight astromech droids and two astromech-disguised Sienar/Iron Crown GT-F0 anti-boarding droids round out the complement. So far as passengers are concerned, the Amidala has one master suite, one variable-atmosphere diplomatic suite, four handmaiden suites, and bunks for four personal bodyguards or aides, over and above the ship's normal complement, for a total of 9-12 passengers. The vessel's maximum comfortable crew/passenger population is twenty-nine. Its consumables stores can provide for thirty adult humanoids for around two months of comfort, barring dietary restrictions. The Amidala's cargo capacity is split between several locations. It is capable of carrying fifteen tons of excess lift weight, not including essentials such as wardrobes and fresh food.
Proprietary hyperroutes and a Class 0.5 hyperdrive permit the Amidala to go virtually anywhere with maximum convenience. Advanced shields and sensors, Aegis receptor nodes, multiple telesponder capacity, and a variety of countermeasures ensure that the Amidala will get where its helmsman directs.
