A variant of the IW-02A Lohengrin, the IW-02A/HF Hellfire Lohengrin is designed to act as an extremely long range artillery walker, utilizing self-propelled thermobaric shells. When detonating, thermobaric shells utilize oxygen from the surrounding area to produce an intense, high-temperature explosion, which unleashes a longer blast wave. This explosion creates a vacuum, which can rupture the lungs of any infantry in the immediate vicinity, not killed by the initial blast. In cases where the fuel is released, but does not detonate, it can still prove to be extremely lethal, by burning those in the vicinity. Those at the fringe of the blast suffer internal injuries, such as burst ear-drums, crushed inner ear organs, severe concussions, ruptured organs, and possibly blindness. These shells cannot be effectively used underwater, at high altitudes, or in adverse weather conditions.
The two missile 'arms' present on the Lohengrin have been removed, and replaced with 'anchor' arms. These arms unfold, and penetrate deep into the ground. This, in conjunction with a bracing system that extends from the back, allows the Hellfire Lohengrin to fire its primary weapons without tipping over. As it isn't a major revision of the Lohengrin series, it has all the same weaknesses as the base unit. It cannot move quickly, and must be dropped in by transport. It has no defensive capabilities, and must rely on allied armor and infantry to protect it. Due to the destructive nature of the ammunition, and it's self-propelled properties, the Hellfire Lohengrin has a minimum range where it can use its shells. If the target is within twenty kilometers, the Hellfire Lohengrin can't fire on it.
