After the successful destabilization of the provincial government in the Annaj system, the Free Colonies have set their sights upon the Endor system. A group of surveyors have reported a Trandoshan compound that has been enslaving the local population of Ewoks, the Free Colonies job is to drive the slavers out of the system and liberate the Ewoks, and attempt to establish a colony peacefully.
Surrounding the system also lies a sizeable debris field, from the looks of it, a space station was destroyed, the Free Colonies has hired its starship captains to brave the dangers and salve anything of value, who knows what century-old treasures await the courageous?
The Free Colonies can't get around when they don't know where they are! They have sent out men and women to map out the forest moon of Endor, for when the pirate faction returns in the future to pursue new endeavors.
OBJECTIVES:
  • #1 Find where the Ewok village is: We should find the village and make contact with the Ewoks, we could also persuade them to allow us to colonize the area once the Trandoshans are gone.
  • #2 Deal with the Trandoshans: Those Trandoshans aren't going to be a help to us or the Ewoks, we'd better destroy the base and drive them from the moon, kill or be killed.
  • #3 Salvage space debris: There is a lot of scrap still orbiting the moon, it looks like some sort of battle took place here, albeit a long time ago.
  • #4 Explore: A lot of the planet hasn't been charted yet, it would be beneficial if we knew where we were going.
  • #5 Do whatever: This system is ripe with opportunity, who knows what could happen, perhaps establish a trade route between other Ewok villages? Kill a local nest of gundarks? Find a destroyed bunker?

Objective 2 - Trump the Trandoshans

In the aftermath of 'The Annaj Incident', Qarai had gotten involved with the loose confederation of people who were starting up a new government. Qarai enjoyed this area of space, so he wanted to have a hand in it, and therefore needed to be seen. In ages past, the Empire had built a superweapon in orbit of Endor, but was defeated there by a band of Rebels with the help of Ewoks. The little creatures had shown ingenuity in utilizing their knowledge of the terrain and their relatively rudimentary weapons to do a major assist in overthrowing a galactic superpower. The Free Colonies were interested in using Endor as a base of operations, wanted to get friendly with the Ewok population, and so had to help them get rid of a problem. Namely, Trandoshan slavers.

Now, Qarai was a pirate, through and through. He was a vagabond who had done fairly despicable things, he killed without remorse when he felt that the time called for it, he had taken valuable property from folks from many systems around the galaxy and flaunted that fact in front of law enforcement, he had pulled a 'panda' more often than was truly necessary, and various other crimes and mischief. None of his crimes, though, were up at the level of demeaning people by enslaving them. It was one of the things that were on his no fly list. Slavery and forced intimacy were things that Qarai vehemently opposed, to the point where he spaced anyone aboard his ships who had done either deed. So, the destruction of a Trandoshan slaver camp was not something he was going to be squeamish about.

"We're dropping out of hyperspace near Endor." His number two reported as she stuck her head around the frame of his door. Qarai nodded silently as he finished writing the sentence he'd been working on, then he put down the quite anachronistic pen and stood. He cracked his back in a stretch as he stood and turned towards her.

"Excellent, thank you Elizabeth." He said, then followed her out of into the hallway and up a short flight of stairs to the bridge. Many pirates often looked at their working relationship and thought that there were things between them. To Qarai's sadness, however, there never had been and never would be. She was indispensable to his operations, but was also beautiful and deadly. They would have made a beautiful couple, if it weren't for the fact that they both were...swinging at the same pitches. Still, they worked beautifully together, and Qarai trusted no one more than his second.

As he came onto the bridge, the view of hyperspace shifted and dropped away to reveal a planet, its forested moon, and a debris field nearby.

"Take us to the moon, set us up in a stable orbit and have strike teams Vornskr and Krayt suit up and assemble at the shuttle. The Trandoshans shouldn't be much trouble, but you never can be too careful with them." He spoke aloud, knowing that his words would quickly reach the ears of the strike teams. Relishing combat, those two teams would likely get to the shuttle before he did.

#3: Salvage ops.

Having abandoned his smuggling career now Jack was fixated on one thing. Freedom. The freedom to raid and return to a solid base, a government of free territories that could protect such men as he and his brethren. What was more he was dedicated to seeing the down trodden rid of their chains and sent into a brave new world. A world of total prosperity.

But with being a Pirate came the Darker side of things. Death, destruction and gore. He had begun to feel the pull of Darkness at the Battle of Roche, and it hung even more heavy in his soul after Annaj. The killing their had unlocked something feral in him, a baser instinct know only to the wildest of animals.

Today he was fixated on ships. Endor used to be a basing ground for some of the now Defunct Lords of the Fringes fleet operations.

He as aboard The Rogue, and moving swiftly to close with the debris fields above the planet. Dak his first mate was there, now older and much wiser to the ways of space.

"Long range scanners commence."

"Aye Skip."

Dak flicked a series of switches as Jacks capable hands guided them through the minefield of abandoned or wrecked ships and platforms. There appeared to be three large masses, and a handful of smaller junked stations. The odd part was some of them had the ancient markings of the long lost fringers.

"Give me a full readout. Size, location, life forms and positions. Let's map it out for the salvage teams."

Objective #1: Find the Ewok Village

The trees on the surface rattled as a dropship descended into a small clearing on the forest moon of Endor, its landing gear coming out of their compartments as it set down gently, followed by the landing ramp lowering with a mechanical hiss. Jagen Wren of the Free Colonies walked down it and surveyed the surrounding area while five pirates of varying genders and species followed suite, arming themselves for the dangers ahead.

The Free Colonies had taken Annaj, set up shop, and looked at other systems to expand their influence into, Endor being the closest. So many mercenaries like Wren had come to the system with an objective that differed from planet to planet and area to area. Wren was assigned to the forest moon of Endor to try to sway the native Ewoks to help them, though that wasn't exactly easy given that the Ewoks had their own predicament at the moment. Trandoshan slavers had made it to the planet long before the Colonies and were enslaving a local tribe, forcing them to do labour work and to "entertain" their masters, and in the end they were going to sell them on the black market.

So their ship had landed and they had come out, the first thing that they needed to do was to find the tribe. Wren was an excellent tracker, being a hunter and a former Mandalorian, so all he would need to do is follow the trail and make contact with them, easy right?

He hoped.

Objective: 4. Pull a Dora; "explora"

James came out of space and began to give his typical landing on the Angel. However, since everyone knows what happens during a landing sequence, James has done millions, and frankly the writer gets tired of having to try and make the obvious some how sound poetic or artistic, he landed without much ado. Why? Because no one cares about the Angel's landing props, trusters, or cool-down sequence.

What they Do care about his James. And what was carrying. The spacer donned his Iconic Jacket, trusty DeathHammer, and grabbed both a two packs of cigarettes and four bottles of ale. Oh his hands he strapped the two gloves, one M.E.A.D. "Vader Swipe" Glove the other, Phantom fingers. On uncharted planets like these, one could never be took careful, after all. On a holster across his back, James strapped a pair of Jericho shotguns; double barreled sawed off shot guns that had been made by Mercenary Weapons. Across his shoulder the spacer threw a satchel that had a variety of goods and supplies in it; a few meal bars, medical goods, binos, rope, water, and of course alochol, to name a few things.

Ready at last, James stepped onto the plant's surface and began walking briskly in the warm air, ready to explore the surface. He had invited serveral of the Justice Shipping others to come to join the expedition in their own ways that the Colonies needed.

Objective #3: Im in space suckas! Aka, salvage ops.

Scan completed.

Jack glanced down as the dash beeped a rapid pulse and swept his brown eyes over the readouts. with a few blinks he transferred the map into his HUD and overlayed it in transparent across the visor. He was dual tasking now, reading and flying. Dak was already powering up the comms and guns, getting ready for whatever Jack was going to concoct next.

"No life forms, minimal damage to the two largest vessels. They look relatively abandoned, standby."

With a few taps he fired the thrusters, edging The Rogue in close up alongside the first vessel. Her side was partially ruptured, old carbon scoring marking where she'd taken a beating. His eyes narrowed and he nodded to Dak.

"Call em in, I'll dock us on the ventral side. Let's see if she's still space worthy."

"Aye Skip, Rogue One to fleet, send in the salvage elements, map and position as follows."

Jack fired the thrusters again, brining the strafing up over the hull to the bridge. There seemed to be a decent amount of the airlock intact. A lone docking tube extended and Jack watched, praying until it beeped. He rose and shrugged on his rucksack, checking the charge on his DL-44.

"We are a go hard seal. Suit up kid."

Dak moved to the lockers and Jack moved farther back into the hold, and then to the airlock, keying in the pass codes to open her inners doors up.

Objective 2-deal with the scaly scums

Endor the forest moon...a place she loved to visit for solitude and peace...however she had gotten word trandos were hunting ewoks...and since most of the tribes were friendly with her and she to them she'd help the furry little creatures out...that and she had a hatred for slavers

She had hitched a ride with at James justice... Simply because he owed her for smashed flowers and such part because what she was taking was a lot of explosive devices "heeeey James thanks for the ride again" she said walking out behind him with at least a hundred thermals on her...not to mention her sword nova medium combat armor two saber and her favorite dc-17c blaster pistol

Alright James I'm off to hunt some lizards maybe I'll get enough hide for boots"she said and laughed before walking into the forest

The Forest Moon of Endor. Sanctuary Moon. The place had many names, and history to go with them. Most famous of the exploits was the Battle of Endor, which resulted in the destruction of the second Death Star and was ultimately the beginning of the end of the Galactic Empire. That Galactic Empire, in any case. There was more to the place than just that though. It had been a player in power struggles far and wide over the years, and now it was the turn of the so-called Free Colonies.

Several issues had been identified and teams allocated. Trandoshan slavers were present on the moon, there was still a host of debris floating in orbit, and the place was, quite simply, poorly mapped. Given his hesitance over helping the Colonies, Audren had refrained from taking an active combat roll in the mission. Instead, he'd opted to join the mapping crews. He'd been given two choices: borrow a different ship with better sensors or link to the other vessels involved in mapping so analysis could be done on the fly. The second option had been his choice, and with many muttered curses and much examination of the manuals, he'd managed to set up a temporary, firewalled, and one-way transmission of his sensor data. There was some data on the ship that others didn't need to know.

Whether he agreed with them or not, the Sephi had to admit that the people in charge weren't stupid. Not surprising, given many of them had past histories evading laws and authorities. They'd coordinated the scout flights in patterns: a high-altitude flight followed by progressively-lower examinations. Each pilot got a slice, and the lower they went the more slices there were. Even with the number of ships assigned the pilots had multiple areas to cover and it wouldn't be done quickly. Audren - who wasn't really broadcasting his identity as a Jedi Knight given the circumstances- had completed his high- and mid-altitude flights and was in the process of dropping to a lower altitude.

Forest, forest, and more forest. Maybe he'd get to see a lake, that would be nice.

Objective three: Trandoshan Menace

Nima knelt, feeling the leather collar rubbing against her neck. She was dressed in a frankly degrading out fit. After all, Twi'leks were known to be dancers, right? She sighed, muttering a curse under her breath. Looking up, she watched the Ewok slaves pull at the edges of the slave pens. "Can any of you understand me?" there was a chorus of confused noises among them. Sweat trickled down her brow as she drew deeper into the force, trying to hide the small shimmer at her hip. Pushing herself deeper into the Force, she knotted her brow, trying to maintain her focus as she called on the force for something else. A powerful blast burst out of her, slamming into the pair of guards, rattling the cage, and knocking the gaggle of sentient teddy bears down. More importantly, it loosened the stake that held the rope on her hands. As the guards began to recover, she lept forward, slamming into the back of the closer one. letting her weight take him down.

For a moment, she saw the other trandoshan fire, and then she rolled, feeling the bolt singe her wrists and punch into the guard's groin. Perfect. Her hand snapped to her waist, where she pulled the silver cylinder she had been working to conceal. Lunging at the second guard, she activated the lightsaber into his stomach, and pulled upward.

Two down. now it was time to see if she could talk some sense into them.

Objective #3: Im in space suckas! Aka, salvage ops.

"Hmmm."

Jack felt something different when he stepped through the airlock. The section they'd docked on wasn't too far from the main hangars, and twice as far away was the engineering from what his readouts were telling him. There wasn't much here, no bodies, no blood. The Captain seemed like he'd scuttled the vessel and left with his crew.

"I don't see anything on scanners. Engineering is this way, let's go!"

Dak followed behind, taking note of the damage and the wiring on his datapad. Jack still had a hand on his Besk'ad, keeping a wary eye out. At long last they managed to shuffle down a small maintenance corridor and bust through the hatch. Dust and debris rained down from the hatch as it popped open and Jack slipped through first, sliding down the ladder until his feet hit the deck with a thump.

"It's warm in here. That's weird, means life support and energy is still on."

"Let's check it out then."

The panels were covered in a thick layer of space grime, something that was wiped away easily with a couple of palm swipes until the terminals rewarded him with a blue luminescence.

"Power cells are almost shot, fuel cells are still half full. No engines on, breach in hull on the port side and ventral starboard side. Looks like those were sealed off."

"Can we initiate full power and see if she's space worthy?"

"No, we need additional power cells."

Jack tapped the screens, leaning over Daks shoulder as the youth worked.

"We might have a couple of those on the fleet. Standby."

It was a longshot, and they certainly weren't going to waltz out of here with a hyperspace jump. Sublight back to Annaj was an acceptable plan, and at this point the only plan.

"Cap'n Raxis to the fleet, we need salvage teams and power cells at my location. Track Rogue transponders for coordinates."

Objective: 4. Pull a Dora; "explora"

James watched as star moved on without him and shook his fist playfully, "I be surprised ye didn't blow this one up this time @Stardust."

But now, he was moving, and that was all that mattered. The spacer set about on a light jog, hurrying on his way. His speed was fast, and the ground was easy to cover. More of the fleet were up, about and getting the lay of the land but James saw something on the readouts that had piqued his interest too much not to see it with his own eyes.

It was warm, and soon the spacer was covered in a slick coat of sweat. Under logs, over logs, over boulders, and across more than one stream the spacer was surprised to quickly see how varied the landscape was. And was quickly reminded of why he was a spacer, not a land explorer. His body wasn't made for this, however, despite his constant smoking, his cardio was pretty damn good. At this rate, James would be there in no time.

What was it that could pique such work from the billionaire playboy? Nothing.

Nothing had shown up on the scanners for a radius of 400 yards. After several runs, it was deemed as by far, not a sensor anomaly. The spacer, of course, could not let such a thing go without his investigation--besides something inside him said this was important. And was calling to him. The spacer followed without question, hurrying along, following the internal guide.

Stardust laughed back at [member="James Justice"] as she started in a brisk pace to keep quiet and stealthy...as she wanted fireworks "

She moved through the forest as she followed the heavy foot prints left by the trandos....not so subtle in hiding their trail..

She closed her eyes as she extended out to see with the force..she could see all the living animals as white and...that's a big himunoi-

Her thoughts were interrupted by the loud hissing before she quickly drew her bkade and spum around to slice the trando in half before stabbing right through its head..a clean kill"silly lizards can't kill me"she said and started walking again

@Danger Arcenau

Target

Lwhekk Aleph-class Manufacturing Ship

The Salvage teams made quick work, boots stomping in the dark. Echoes bounced around the engineering room as they ripped out old power cells, and fuel cells. They each used a five man lift system, grunting in their engineer EVA suits as they moved the pieces around, dropping spent canisters to the floor.

Jack watched the scene unfold, keeping an eye on the screens with Dak running the systems diagnostics.

"Anyhting?"

"All of it looks ok. This seems to be a Salvage ship herself, an Lwhekk Aleph-Class Manufacturing ship."

"What is that?"

Dak scratched his chin and then grinned, turning to face him.

"It means she can recycle old scrap and metals and create new things, all right here, on this ship!"

Jack grinned now, elated by the discovery. He was already dreaming of an addition to the Raider Fleet. Indeed this seemed like just the addition, what they needed for support. A fleet was expensive to run, and they needed to repair often. something that could make new fighters and armor plating would be a welcome addition.

"Alright, lets get to the bridge then."

"Aye, I'll come with, they got this."

"Chief Tirel."

"Aye Cap'n!"

"We're headed to the bridge, let me know when you got this baby juiced up."

"Aye Cap'n!" The chief nodded and smiled. Odd dude he was.

"Alright kid let's go."

They stalked from the engineering bay, out into the hallways. Jack lead the way with his hand on his sword while Dak gave him directions from behind. In a mater of twenty minutes they reached the bridge. Jack stood back while Dak plugged his datapad into the wall panel. The blast doors were old and greying, and it looked like there was enough juice to keep them sealed shut.

"Can we open this?" Jack asked, cocking his head to the side to examine the obstacle.

'Yep, just gotta kill the power, that will disengage the magnetic locks. Then we gotta pry it by hand."

Objective: 4. Pull a Dora; "explora"

James halted, panting as he leaned on his knees for support. He was out of breath, and seriously in need to get his legs in better shape, but that was not why he had stopped. A massive ravine stretched before the man, going on either side as far as the eye could see. He could hear the sound of water babbling bellow him, how far down, he couldn't tell. And didn't want to find out. He spied his side, looking for a viable approach down, but the rocks were very mossy and he wasn't the strongest climber under best circumstances, so that would not work in the least.

He put his hands on his hips and chewing. He fished a cigarette from his pocket and lit up, smoking away as he thought of a different way to cross. Surely the ewoks would have made a way to get across this, but it would only be a matter of finding it--and if it was even close. James closed is eyes and began listening to his gut--or as it was more commonly known, the Force.

To the left.

James nodded, opening his eyes before making his way to a massive tree. It was easily 100 feet in the air, and massively wide across. He took a few steps back and flicked his cigarette into the ravine. OK. He could do this, James told himself.

Sprinting ahead, the spacer leaped off a rock, the Force propelling him higher in the air, 2...5...10....12....15 feet into the air. One of his legs hit the side of the tree, with its gnarled bark. Using his momentum, the spacer propelled himself upward more, drawing on the Force for his strength subconsciously. His hand reached out and grabbed the lowest branch. Twisting his body, James spun upward and launched off it in a wild summersault, just high enough for his foot to catch the next branch and leap off of it, higher into the air. Another brach on his right, James grabbed it and pulled himself up in a Force-augmented up-ward launch.

His body broke through a canopy of leaves and the spacer saw a vine-rope dangling before his eyes. He grabbed it with both hands before gravity could take hold of him and began pulling himself upward... upward..... upward......

Stardust moved forward again blade drawn as each step she scanned the area... Trandos were known for their traps and she did not want to get caught in one

She stopped as she heard a beep and slowly looked down to see a trip mine lit up..thank the force she didn't go any farther...she would've been...well legless

She crouched and started working on disarming it...she hated these things especially trando ones

As she disarmed it she felt movement around her...big ones to"not a movements rest huh..."she said just as she disarmed it and then picked it and chuxnkwd it straight for a trandoa head before pulling her pistol and shooting it with a boom as gun fire erupted from all around, she barely had anytime before she pulled her saber out and blocked a few before finding cover and started during as she got on comms "THIS IS STARDUST I NEED BACK UO AT MY AREA IVE BEEN AMBUSHED BY A LARGE KARKING AMOUNT OF TRANDOS" SHE yelled as she fired back hitting one but it just got up

Objective: 4. Pull a Dora; "explora"

Hand over hand the spacer pulled himself up the vine-rope until he reached what appeared to be a platform made from wobbly, rickety wooden boards. It creaked under his weight but held, most likely made by the ewoks by the looks of things, the spacer thought. A zipline extended across the chasm to the other side, with a harness that he could have taken but--well it looked like it wouldn't support his weight in the least.

The spacer sat back on his heels and thought for a few moments, catching his breath. He pulled a bottle of ale from his satchel and gave it a swig as he thought of a plan. He could try to make his own harness but there were certainly no supplies to do it with. His jacket? No, his satchel's strap would probably snap under the stress. There was no way around it, James would have to carry himself across, hand over hand.

"Why cant things ever be easy," he grumbled to himself.

The spacer looked down. The chasm was far to deep. A fall would be certain death at the bottom, he doubted even a saber jockey could have made it through that alive. He stretched his arms out and took the zipline in his hand carefully before committing. His plan? Do it. And do it fast before his arms got tired.

Dangling by his arms, James "walked" himself along it, one hand over the other as fast as he could. Left. Right. Left. Right. Don't look down, don't stop. Left. Right. Left. Right. Don't look down, don't stop. Left. Right. Left. Right.

Halfway across his left hand missed its target, his right arm screamed in exhaustion as his body cried out in terror. The spacer willed himself to not fall as he twisted and let his left hand gain its grip back. Left. Right. Left. Right. Keep a steady pace.

At last he reached the end, 150 feet of working hand over hand had come to an end over a massive chasm came to its end. The spacer stepped aboard the platform in the tree where the zipline ended and collapsed for a few moments, letting his body recover and letting himself fall into a much-needed momentary panic attack.

Objective 2: Trounce Trandoshan (in)Tractability

Qarai boarded the shuttle with what was his best and most ferocious boarding team, though he was in his long coat with pistols instead of the standard-ish armor and battle rifles that his team had. It made for a distinct juxtaposition, clearly delineating the 'player character' from the standard 'non-player characters'.

The shuttle slid easily from Serenno's Remorse as she and her sister ship, Nox Fortuna, entered orbit of Endor. The shuttle tilted nose towards the moon, then jumped forward on afterburners. The heat shielding and deflector shields protected the insides from the massive heat of atmospheric entry, while the inertial compensators kept the people inside from becoming Bond's favorite Martini's. The ship lashed through the barest portion of the canopy, the trees were far enough apart, but their highest branches still provided cover, and settled down into a clearing. Much to Qarai's amazement, the canopy was broken only in a few places, the trees still young enough to bend more than break.

"Secure the perimeter of the clearing. We'll move out in fifteen to find us some slavers." He told his men as he checked his pistols and walked down the ramp. While not naval marines, they had their discipline. They'd been with Qarai long enough to know he'd lead them to plenty of plunder if they followed orders.

Audren didn't have anything against forests. He was from a forest world in fact, so he actively supported them. He'd just seen quite a few of them in recent weeks, and a change of pace would be nice. But alas, there were no lakes after a few minutes of flying. Knowing he wouldn't like the answer but wanting to know anyways, the Sephi pulled up some of the maps and checked for geographical features...no lakes on his line of flight in this hemisphere. In fact, the nearest topographical anomaly was a gorge...two flight paths away.

On one hand the monotony was boring, but on the other it meant that he didn't have to pay much attention. He could set the autopilot and put his feet up, as the saying went. Not minutes after that was done though, the sensors pinged: anomaly detected. Almost immediately the comm lit up with a request to scan it closer. He gave a curt acknowledgement and brought his vessel back around, slowing to a hover above where the sensors pinpointed the anomaly. Some form of metal, and not one of the crashed ships that dotted the landscape. Oddly, it wasn't visible through the canopy either. That sparked Audren's curiosity. He shifted the sensors from analysis of the metal to scanning the trees around him, looking for a place to land.

It wasn't quick, but the sensors did indeed find a suitable location. The tree trunks were wide enough apart and the ground seemed firm enough to support the large fighter, so the Knight slipped down under the canopy and powered down. He was only three minutes walking distance from the anomaly, had it marked on a map of the area on his datapad, which was also linked with the location sensors on his vessel. He shouldn't have an issue finding the anomaly or getting back to his ship on the off chance he became disoriented.
