Italicized words not appearing in blogs?

Do italicized words not work in blog entries? Every time I italicize something in my blog, it doesn't show up. Is this a bug?

Solution? Go to Edit. Simply Save and they appear

Do you mean 'edit entry'? Because I clicked it, hit 'publish now' and it still doesn't appear

It works for regular posts. I often write one from an iPad or phone and it works for me. Post. Edit and then re-post. Maybe blogs just don't like you?
