• Adaptive Ghost Logic Matrix: The Ironveil Cortex utilizes a hybridized neural net constructed from fragmented Sith and recorded echo-patterns of the long-dead. As intrusions are attempted, the system doesn't just resist them, it learns their patterns and grows increasingly resistant, recalibrating future responses with predictive defenses.
• Soul-Bound Counterattack Threads: Upon detecting an intrusion, the Cortex launches soul-bound threads into the invading system's architecture. These data-echoes can infect and destabilize the attacker's own interface by mimicking the slicer's commands and corrupting their logic chains, leading to severe operational failure.
• Possession Protocol Override: The Ironveil can forcibly hijack enemy droid brains and sub-tier AI systems within localized reach. By projecting ghostcode laced with Sith influence, it overrides their command hierarchy, causing enemy units to obey false signals, stall, or attack their own systems.

The Ironveil Ghost Cortex Mk. I represents the cutting edge of Sith aligned cybersecurity, a dark synthesis of artificial intelligence, ancient soul-binding, and echo-based warfare logic. It exemplifies the Shadow Hand's fervent paranoia when it comes to internal security, as well as the protection of sensitive information. Where traditional counter-intrusion systems rely on brute encryption and code firewalls, the Ironveil is something else entirely. It is alive, in its own terrible way.

Forged deep within the halls of Malsheem Hypernautics by the engineers of the Shadow Mind, the Ironveil Cortex was constructed from fragmented Sith essences, their neural maps digitally replicated into echo crystal cores and woven into a self-evolving lattice. The result is an AI defense matrix that not only defends against intrusion but studies its attackers. Every slicing attempt, every invasive code string, becomes fuel for its growth. Each attacker becomes a lesson, and in some cases, a target of future retribution.

One of its most feared features is its Possession Protocol Override, a process by which enemy droid units and lesser AI cores are infected by Sith-spiked logic, causing disobedience, confusion, or outright betrayal of their own side. In one incident logged in a field report, a squadron of slicer-controlled maintenance droids turned on their handlers' mid-breach and initiated core overloads, sacrificing themselves in an apparent fit of madness. What the report didn't understand was that the Ironveil had taken hold.

The Cortex's Phantom Labyrinth makes infiltration a nightmare. Every successful access point is a lie, an illusion carefully crafted to waste time, bury commands, and monitor behavior. Meanwhile, the real system stalks the intruder. Echo-phantoms are generated from intrusion logs, digital imprints of the attacker that can later be deployed to mirror and counter them in future engagements, effectively weaponizing prior breach attempts.

Yet the Ironveil is not without flaw. Its hunger for control and complexity makes it incompatible with non-Sith systems, and its ghost-bound cores require constant supervision. In zones of Force Nullification, it operates at greatly reduced capacity, unable to draw upon the full might of the dark technology that powers its deeper functions.

Even so, within the Kainate, the Ironveil Ghost Cortex has become standard aboard warships, installation nexuses, and strategic AI hubs. It does not guard data. It guards vengeance. And it always remembers who tried to break in.
