Amos Bel
Smuggler
Kothliss - The Bouncy Bantha
Weren't many shadowports left in the galaxy, not when every Government was so big and...well all over the place. It seemed like every time Amos hit port there was something on the news about someone exploding or an invasion happening. It was all sorts of chaotic nonsense that by and large seemed to all the be same as it had been some hundred years ago. It all really came down to how it affected him.
Which was to say; badly.
Turned out, Governments didn't like ports that allowed people to avoid paying taxes and all that shit. Kothliss was perfect for that. A little hidey nowhere. Fuel, fixers, fences, and plenty of fu- whatever else you needed. Amos liked the place, it was one of the first places he'd visited when first leaving Tatooine. The Bouncy Bantha had been his place on the planet ever since. Hanging onto a cliffside with it's own landing platform the bar was run down, but comfortable.
Built into the mountain behind it lay a small, though not quite as run down, hotel. Amos liked staying here. The platform was large enough for about a dozen ships of light freighter size, the food wasn't half bad, and the beds were roach free. Honestly, a smuggler couldn't really ask for more usually. It helped that the Bouncy also had some of the friendliest staff around. "Amos, honey, you know I love ya but can you at least pay your tab now and again?"
"Sorry Ophi." He winced slightly, offering the Twi'lek a genuine smile. He rather liked matron of the Bouncy Bantha. Not only was she kind, but Amos found her forgiving too. Except for that time he'd broken her daughters heart, but honestly that'd only been half his fault. "I have a guy coming to help me out with a job. I'll pay you first thing when its done, alright?"
For a second the Matron seemed to consider, and then she shook her head. "Alright, doll, but you hurry up. Go sit in booth twelve. I'll send em over."
Amos offered her a thankful smile, and then thought about maybe dipping into his emergency funds just to make sure she got some coin her way. It wouldn't hurt to buy him some love, and Ophidia was genuinely good people, though knowing her she might reject the money anyway. "Just get the job done, Amos. It pays plenty."
It'd be just a quick run anyway, he only needed one other person, mostly to watch the scopes.
