The ring was created by Odessa for defensive purposes, and to achieve an advantage over an opponent, or an individual. The ring was fabricated using songsteel, with a black moon opal set in the center of the ring; with a collection of diamonds, sapphires, and rubies arrayed around the center of the ring. Each ring around the fringes of the center contains magical ichor, to be utilized how she fits and/or to aid in recharging the ring faster. The ring, once called upon, has a lasting effect of fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on the outcome of the opposing individual in that time span. Once the ring exhausts the enchantment, it needs to recharge before being used again; which to reach full charge takes roughly ten minutes; unless one of the magical ichor filled gems is used.
There are two Force abilities, or enchantments she refers to them as, that have been incorporated into the black moon opal. The first is Malicious Fury, which saps the willpower of a target, allowing her to grow more powerful in the process. The second is Crush Opposition, which also saps the willpower but grants a radius of thirteen feet from her center point and can affect multiple targets. These two combined abilities have the potential to not only sap willpower but can possibly break the mental psyche of all those being touched. However, an individual possessing a strong will could potentially counter the effect, but even still could possibly feel some sort of disruption.
