Hey y'all,
Recently, some friends and I (Korogum & Xhinx) have been reading up on the ancient Sith society and culture as well as how their state operated. The ancient Sith history is really cool; especially with King Adas and his successors. So, since we liked it so much, we thought "Why not share the wealth?" like good workers of the motherland. You guessed it: Let's re-found the Sith Kingdom.
Now, here's some background information just in case you get confused as to what this means:
- The Sith that made up the ancient Sith kingdoms were not like the Sith you see today. These Sith held on to very different beliefs and dogma than that of the current Sith which is based off of the Jedi Exiles and their influence on Sith culture.
- These Sith were more based around community, war, and bonds. Clans and family brought them together. The society sort of resembled a feudal society.
- These Sith operated under a similar caste system that was/is used by current Sith. Kissai, priests, served as the mystics and delved into the darker portions of the dark side in order to unleash its secrets, Massassi to serve as the warriors in order to defend the Kingdom, and the Zuguruk to act as engineers.
Now, having said that, we were thinking of adopting a lot of these principles and using them in the faction as well as a heavily Sith inspired religion that we have already made for all the priests and zealots out there. And for all the linguists, we were thinking of using the Sith language but creating our own new kind of dialect based off of the old Sith dialects.
Here’s just another list:
- Use Sith language
- Believe in only the force: can be used in any which way; just depends on how you use it (focus on the darker mysteries)
- Allow creation of houses, clans, and guilds in order to inspire competition.
- Promote industry.
- Use the caste system and allow for the suggestion and creation of different castes.
- Have the religious body be de-facto rulers but have the King rule the state and military. Think medieval European King to a Pope.
- Promote gladiators, warriors, intellectuals, and sorcerers.
- Reject modern Sith beliefs in favor of new religion and old Sith practices; isolationism.
- Gladiator matches. Entertainment.
- Aristocracy.
**YOU WILL NOT NEED TO BE FORCE SENSITIVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FACTION. PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE ARE WELCOME AND WILL BE GIVEN A POSITION**
