- Frozen Trauma: As a girl, Briah was present during the One Sith attack on Voss where her family home once stood. The experience scarred her in ways she has yet to face and accept, as she decides instead to bottle up that pain without much sense of personal care or responsibility.
- Headstrong: Briah has a tendency to exhibit frequent bouts of arrogance, recklessness or to release her impatient, fiery attitude on unsuspecting, undeserving folk. Susceptible to quick mood swings if she's not careful, she sometimes is a risk to her own safety and reputation.
APPEARANCE:
Slender and lightfooted, Briah's delicate figure is enough to fool anyone into thinking she's little more than a harmless young girl. But her flexibility and strong frame aids her in surprising ways whenever she finds herself in trouble. Thick, bouncing locks of silver Echani hair hang long behind her when they're not tied up tight in a bun, and her gentle face is easy and curious to behold, with her button nose, somewhat sharp jawline and her fierce eyes that blaze an unusual pink-orange tone. Scars of a half-forgotten time climb up her forearm and her strong working hands are kept in surprisingly good condition despite often becoming dry. Frequently garbed in lightweight, loose-fitting clothes when not more commonly in her agent armour, she seldom cares for style and much prefers comfort when she can afford the time or effort to consider it, which is infrequent.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born into the prestigious Jedi Song family, Rosemary Briah Zella-Song spent much of her formative years on the once-Jedi haven of Voss, close to the goings-on of the Jedi government before the tragedy of its fall. Within the safe and snug walls of the Song Estates, Briah grew up with her learning all about the history of her once-noble lineage. A member of the Zella-Song cadet house, her immediate family claim a direct descendence from Astrid Zella, an accomplished Echani Jedi Knight from the time of the Clone Wars whose name fell largely out of the limelight and is only survived through her few descendants. In more recent years, Briah took to mostly using the diplomatic weight of the Song name exclusively to aid her in her activities. After the peculiar rumours and disappearance of Auron Song, and estrangement and self-exile of his mother Barenziah, such weight has floundered, yet it nevertheless remains a name that piques interest for many and goes in Briah's favour.
Growing up in such an esteemed Jedi family, Briah was quite clearly expected to follow in the family footsteps. She trained in the Echani traditions of martial arts but persisted to hold a natural pull away from the life of the Jedi. With less immediate family pressures found in Rendo Song's household, Briah grew up with the freedom to more easily choose her own path. She spent much of her early years frivolously wasting her time until the dreaded day of the Sith invasion came to Voss. It was a moment that shook all of her family to the core; a trauma that they have yet to recover from. Briah escaped Voss with her mother, father and distant cousin Barenziah - who was much more of an aunt to her - but it was the last time she ever saw Auron.
Something of a refugee, Briah spent the rest of her early years on Kashyyyk as the Jedi rebuilt and regrouped. Around this time, Auron had been reported to have disappeared, and infrequent updates arrived with troubling news as to his mysterious and strange actions in the galaxy. But for Briah, it was all becoming too much, and when she was old enough and able enough to earn money for herself she took efforts to leave Jedi space in favour of enlisting with the Galactic Alliance. She spent much of the first years training vigorously within the grip of the military. It was hard, but it was exactly what she needed. Willingly burying her feelings about her home and her family, she disregarded all else as she underwent a painful transformation from a broken girl to a hard woman. The trauma was hidden and disguised beneath a shield of self-sustaining passion and ambition to make the galaxy a better place. Whatever that meant.
It didn't take long for her superior officers to recognise her unique talents on the training grounds, which resulted in an offer to train with the Strategic Intelligence Agency branch of the Alliance. She gladly accepted.
