ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Dual Hyperdrive system
  • Extremely resilient design, able to go extremely long periods without maintenance
  • Very tough Shields and powerful weapons equivalent in strength to an Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer
  • Excellent in Multiple roles
  • Gravity Well Projectors can either pull ships larger than itself out of hyperspace or be fine tuned to slow down smaller ships in a very close 200 meter Radius
STRENGTHS
  • Apocalypse Proof: The design is unusually resilient, able to last extraordinarily long times without maintenance. Relics of this sort found adrift are usually very easily repaired if enough is intact. It's design, from an engineering standpoint is as close to Idiot Proof as possible, with even a very untalented hack of an Engineer able to keep the vessel running with the bare minimum of required knowledge and resources
  • You shall not pass: Projects a Powerful gravity Well that can pull a ship bigger than itself out of Hyperspace, or fine tune it to slow down smaller ships in a two hundred meter Radius (a rarer modification, especially of ancient variants. Both features cannot be used at the same time)
  • Punching above one's weight: It was so ahead of its time when it was first created that it's shields and weapons are considered equivalent in strength to an I-Class Imperial Star Destroyer from the era of the Galactic Empire, leading to potentially very nasty surprises for more modern larger vessels. Get enough of them and you can destroy a planet's surface, a feat few other Cruisers can truly lay claim to
  • Multirole: Excellent as a Command, Escort, or fleet support
  • Dakka: Due to having fewer Turbolasers than most modern Cruisers, it can fire them twice as fast
WEAKNESSES
  • Range: Due to its outdated design, it's cannons have only three Fourths the range of modern equivalents
  • Accuracy: Due to its outdated design, it's energy weapons are only half as accurate as modern ones
  • Jamming: Due to its outdated design, it's systems are much more easily jammed
  • Ion: Highly vulnerable to Ion Weaponry
  • Overheat: It's Projectors are obsolete, and can only be active a few hours before they need to cool down for the equivalent time they were on
  • Slug: Poor at turns.
  • I'll pass anywhere I please: It's projectors are severely outdated, and counter interdiction tech works easier on them than most other designs
DESCRIPTION

Vessels based off that of an ancient Admiral who betrayed The Galactic Republic, the history behind them is almost entirely lost on the modern Civilian, with even most Historians debating vigorously certain details regarding how Admiral Saul Karath came to acquire the Leviathan, such as the nature of the vessel in question, with some sources suggesting the design was so complex at the time of its inception that Karath's vessel was one of the only ones cleared for use, while others suggest what Saul Karath stole was a super prototype of a vessel the Galactic Republic wouldn't have been ready to deploy for possibly decades. Whatever the case is, The Star Forge acquired a vessel so ahead of its time that even when aspects of its design were watered down it managed to cause absolute havoc, which still holds true in the modern era. While the original example of the vessel is believed to be long destroyed, Modern advances in production allow the vessel schematics to be copied based on surviving documents. Many are found adrift, especially if Ancient, but many more have found a place as a reliable but flawed design in poorer navies via reproduction of its specifics. For any lucky enough to find one, the Leviathan Type Interdictor can get one out of a surprisingly high number of jams.
