The White Palace on Sriluur was unlike any palace that Lady Kay had ever seen before. The newly appointed COO of ArmaTech had landed in her small diplomatic transport vessel on a nearby landing pad. Having given her reasons for being there when her vessel approached, her pilot and bodyguard Alex had been given clearance to land.

Both women were a stark contrast to eachother. Whereas Lady Kay was dressed elegantly like a diplomat should, minus her well worn satchel that never left her side, Alex was dressed in Mandalorian armour with her blasters and the like that never left her side. In the years since her exile from the Jedi Order, Lady Kay had gotten used to dressing like a simple merchant as she roamed the Galaxy unnoticed by her enemies and keeping her Force use to a bare minimum. But now that she was a COO, she had to dress the part. Her satchel might seem a bit out of place, but she didn't care. It contained her commlink and datapad, a pair of slacks and shirt, her kettle and tea cup, a supply of food and water rations, as well as her brass hilted lightsaber and small blaster. All the bare essentials that one would require for a small journey.

Although she was dressed to impress, she didn't carry with her a sense of arrogance. She didn't see herself as better than anyone else, even with her new position. That tended to work in her favour when negotiating. But this venture wasn't completely a business trip so much as it was personal. She wanted intel on Sempra's organization which could be put to use in the future. And what better way to get that than to visit and see it all with her own eyes?

Two crew members remained on board of the vessel while Lady Kay and Alex strode up to the White Palace. Both of them took note of the slave ship not far away, reminding them of the type of organization that they were dealing with. They also took note of the tribes of Weequays living and working in the area. They were known for their brutality too.

As the two women approached the Palace they were of course stopped by the guards, which was to be expected. Lady Kay introduced herself and had them pass along the message that they wished to have an audience with Sempra. In the back of her mind she had hoped that her new boss wouldn't disapprove, but it was no different than the kinds of diplomatic missions that she had done in the past with her late husband. Oh how she wished that he were with her right now, for he knew how to better handle a Hutt than she did. As they waited to be let in, she silently promised herself to make her late husband proud and not get herself into trouble.

Sempra was tending affairs per usual as word about the new arrival reached the throne room. An armsdealer eager to sell their products. He sent for [member="Xander Black"] and opened a communication channel to [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"] to ensure he would know of this enterprise.

"Have her approach the throne." he then ordered and slaves walked off to fetch her.

Sempra finished what he was doing and put the datapad aside. He then ordered refreshments and waited for [member="Lady Kay"] to arrive.

Jaster was in the camber room, news or arms dealers selling equipment made it to Jaster door steps. In the process of protecting company interest, he requested an invitation to the gathering. Close ally and conspiring to the Hitt Cartel, Jaster need his investments cleared before his departure. Random unknowns showing up with black market goods was never a good sign. So he leaned against the column in the cornor of the chamber. Jaster had no guards or weapons of his own, just protection provided by the Sempra.

Jaster had grown accustom the the criminal underground he now worked with. Selling market good at cheap prices for the underground was making his company millions, even open smuggle routes for his product to make cheaper runs. Saved millions for Jasters company, even saved a few life's in the process as places he couldn't get meds were smuggled in. Jaster always considered working with the devil as needed step to helping all. If only more people saw it that way.

Kicking off the wall, The Cowboy looked around. He wasn't quite sure why he was wanted here, but to be honest he didn't care. Shaking his head lightly he walked up next to the slime of a Hutt, nodding lightly. It was almost like he was saying "let's get this over with". He wanted to go back and work on his cruisers.

He had decided on four cruisers. Two for him, two for the Hutts. All he hoped was they gave him a decent amount for them, because they were no-where near cheap to complete. Making sure he was armed, he waited slowly, waiting for the lady to come and get this over with. To be fair, he really couldn't be bothered.

Lady Kay glanced at Alex as the slaves arrived to escort them. Of course neither of them were pleased, especially Kay, but it was to be expected. She took a look at all of those she passed on their way to the throne room. It had been a while since she'd been on such a mission and she did her best to appear fully confident.

As she approached Sempra she folded her hands in front of her and bowed her head, with Alex standing to the side and slightly behind her. "Greetings your Excellency. I am Lady Kay Larr, the newly appointed COO of ArmaTech. I thought that I would visit our clients and potential cl-" She paused mid sentence as she spotted Jaster. What was he doing here? No matter right this second, need to focus. "...potential clients. Where some companies deal with offensive tactics, ArmaTech has a great line of products for defence. And who wouldn't want to defend such a grand palace like this one?"

A little flattery never hurt. But she didn't know much about this Hutt. Yet she always had a knack of getting others to see her way. She had never negotiated with a Hutt before though. Perhaps Jaster would be of help in that department. But then again, after that mess on Bakura, she knew that he was in that line of work as well. Everyone else she had never come across before. But then again everyone is a stranger at first.

Jaster was amazed when the women introduced herself as Lasy Kay, she looked diffrent, in his mind, more elegant. Not only was the force user on the planet working to impress his client, but she was the COO of a major arms dealer. ArmaTech was one of the quickest rising stars that Jaster had come across his desk. Weapons, vehicles, droids, and armor were all top of the line, Jaster was considering making contact with them for his own needs. What was reasonably weird was that she was on the planet at all, he figured she was a Jedi, guess not of dealing with the underground. Jaster just continued to watch and see what would proceed after her own introduction.

Just as he waited a guard approved him whispering, "Sir, your product is ready for transport."

Jaster looked up to respond, "Good, move them to the company transports and keep my guards posted until I arrive."

He was still very interested in the oncoming conversation, possibly speak with Lady Kay if the meeting was to end in her favor.

Sempra eyed the woman as she approached him. She carried herself with dignity which was a good thing in his mind. It meant she held a certain respect for the place she was in, or at least a pretended one, he mused.

"Lady Kay, you are welcome to my home." his deep voice resonated as he waved his hand around him indicating what was his home.

"This palace is most certainly worth protecting. Tell me, what devices may you offer that is not already at my disposal?" he asked and his eyes drifted toward [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] for a moment.

She bowed her head to the Hutt after his welcome and followed his glance to Jaster. No doubt he was Sempra's main supplier, so she would have to speak with him a bit later, when it was safe to do so. After all, it wasn't good to be rude to a Hutt and it was Sempra's attention that she wanted first.

"Many thanks for the welcome Your Excellency. I am unfamiliar with what defences you already have in and around your Palace, though I would love a tour so that I may see for myself what your defences may be lacking. But in the meantime might I be able to pique your interest in our Remote Operation Weapons systems or our Electromagnetic Shielding systems? We have a vast array of armour, ammunition and vehicle options as well if that's to your liking."

Admiral Kerkov's shuttle landed on the surface of Sriluur. He had come to the white palace to develop a contract with the Hutt cartel after a recent mission with them. He hadn't seen [member="Sempra the Hutt"] since the grand opening of the Sundeval Cantina. It had been beneficial to both parties and Kerkov was back to set another deal in motion.

Kerkov grinned as he entered the palace, it was as magnificent as ever. As he entered he saw a slave and before the man could say anything Kerkov told him,

"Is [member="Sempra the Hutt"] in? I have some business to attend to with him."

[member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] [member="Lady Kay"] [member="Xander Black"]

Sempra rested some of his weight upon his left elbow as he listened to [member="Lady Kay"].

"Please, do tell me more about this shield..." he asked.

mean while [member="William Kerkov"] was brought into the room by a slave girl.

Lady Kay studied him as he shifted his weight. Having not been around Hutts before, she couldn't tell if he was either interested or bored. It could be the latter. Yet he could be stalling as well. Hmmm.

"Yes, your Excellency. The Electromagnetic Sheilding is capable of resisting EMP's, ION blasts and even lightning. It's primarily used for vehicles in the battlefield, but I am confident that our engineers can integrate it into working on something as large as your remarkable home. If you will permit me, I have a datapad here with the schematics for you to look at."

She reached into her satchel and slowly pulled out the datapad, allowing the guards and others to see that she wasn't drawing out a weapon. A second later she brought up the info that she required and held it out for him, waiting for either one of his people to take it or to be asked to bring it up to him herself. (Info on the datapad shows this: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/56230-acs-403-electromagnetic-shielding/ )

Her attention was diverted for a moment as a slave escorted another man to the throne room. Hmm. Sempra was a busy Hutt indeed. Little did Kay know that William Kerkov was also on Bakura and the man that commanded the soldiers to attack her as well as Jaster's men. She of course had never seen the man in person, so she doesn't recognize him.

Jaster was intrigued as to how such shielding worked. As he was posted he was a genetics scientist and honed in the art of war. These engineering concepts were difficult for him to understand, now talk medicine and Jaster could follow. He did know though that seeing a vehicle shield and if updated a home shield capable of repealing an EMP. Now that was amazing, though something more amazing did accur, the wonderful Admiral arrived.

In stead of having the admiral wait or have Sempra interrupted by the man and place the Hutt in a bad mood, Jaster waved him over. I was no inconvenience for Jaster , the bad blood was now washed away as the men drank it over. There was still a hint of rivalry there of course, though seeing who had the larger armada was just how admirals compared. Plus Jaster just liked to pull the Admirals strings and see him campar the two.

In truth, Jasters fleet was larger, yet many were inexperienced and could hit the flat side of a space stations. As for Kerkovs fleet, it was a third the sizes of Jasters, but their crew and captains were some of the most experienced ex-military, pirates, and pilots this side of the galaxy. Jaster knew this, heck his armada knew this, but seeing Kerkov get competitive was just as fun.

Jaster waved to the slave girl to bring the man to his cornor of the criminal organization till Sempra was free to see him.

Sempra leaned forth and browsed the data presented to him. He did not understand all the complicated formulas but he grasped the concept in general. Raising an eyebrow he nodded slowly. He was getting powerful enemies and a device like this might come handy.

He looked sround the room for a while and he stopped as they fell on [member="Tiali Orazio"] lingering in one of the darker alcoves.

""Mr Orazio, what is your thought about such a system? Do you believe it would be useful to my safety?" he asked and grabbed some grapes which he threw into his maw.

Kerkov followed Jaster 'till he made his stop,

"Jaster, so nice to see you, I didn't know you worked so closely with the hutts? But who am I to wuestion you, have of my business is done through the underworld of the galaxy."

After finishing the sentence Kerkov pulled a Cigara out of his left pocket and a lighter,

"You wouldn't mind would you?"

Jastrer continued to watch the conversation between the women that the Admiral tried to kill, and the Hutt that was his client for many of his outsourced drugs. It was definitely a complicated situration they were in, though Jaster was accustom to it now. He would just continue his conversation with the Admiral.

"None at all," jaster picked up his cup of odd colored alcohol, raising it slightly to allow Kerkov to smoke. The Hutts palace was perty much filled with smoke as it rose to the ceiling and was stuck. It didnt bother Jaster, many of his crew smoked, but there were filters and air ducks to rid of it.

"Now, now admiral, Im a scumbag, is it really so difficult to think I would do business with the Hutts?"

"Well, I guess your right there."

Kerkov waited for a few moments before talking. Enjoying the pleasure of smoking his cigara. He looked up as the smoke floated up until it hit the roof. It was covered in the grey gas, he could see why [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] had been gazing at it as well. He began to wonder how long it would take before [member="Sempra the Hutt"] would attend to his audience. But Kerkov was patient so he could wait.

[member="Lady Kay"]

Approaching [member="Sempra the Hutt"] Tiali would Give a sturdy nod Listening in on the Conversation before hand.

His voice muffled by the helmet "I believe the imunity to ion blasts and other stunning types of weapons will bring us great advantages when retreating or bypassing enemy ships."

"And please, just call me Tiali."

[member="Sempra the Hutt"]
[member="Lady Kay"]

The hutt listened to [member="Tiali Orazio"] and tried to imagine how this would work.

"mhm, if you belive so. Well, the original suggestion was to build a shield for the palace, correct ms Kay?" Sempra scratched his chin.

"Perhaps we can use ot for other purposes as well. How much would such a shield cost?""

[member="Lady Kay"]

Lady Kay took a step back from the Hutt as she tapped on her datapad. "Well, Your Excellency, at the moment the shielding per tank or vehicle is 25,000 credits a piece. Your immense Palace is far greater in size, so it will surely cost more. I will need to know what the exact size and dimensions are so that I could send that off to our engineers and produce a proper quote for you. I can't promise you that it'll be cheap, but then nothing worthwhile ever is."

She glanced over her shoulder to confirm that Jaster was still there, and he seemed to be waiting with a smoking man that was clearly a man of high rank. Her bodyguard Alex didn't even shift her weight on her feet as she patiently waited for the meeting to be over so that they could leave.

Kay then turned her attention back to Sempra and Tiali and waited for their decision. Would she be allowed further access onto the Palace? It was all up in the air for the moment.

"That is of course something we need to discuss further. But your products does interest me." Sempra said with a cunning grin.

"You will stay over the night and be allowed a tour around the palace in the morning. Your slave... " he continued motioning for Alex. "... will be stay with you but just out of my concern of your well being I will post guards at your side at all times."

Sempra leaned back and beckoned for [member="William Kerkov"] to approach.
