IN CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Leadership: Inquisitorial Governor Darth Strosius
  • Capital: Faldos City
  • Notable Assets: Inquisitorial Armory of Faldos
  • Important Members: Inquisitorial Governor Darth Strosius
  • Government Stability: Medium
  • Wealth: Low
  • Freedom & Oppression: While the actual restrictions on the populace are relatively light, with laws mainly focused on simply obeying the Inquisition's forces and other such standard rules and regulations, the atmosphere is oppressive and bleak. The Inquisition is seemingly ever-present and does not hesitate to bring down their wrath upon any criminals or rebels that would seek to pry their claws from the world. Criminal activity of all kinds is subject to harsh punishments, although the vast majority of minor crimes tend to simply be dealt with by public labor projects or conscription. Many citizens are also required to attend sessions in indoctrination facilities where they are trained to be "proper citizens of the Sith Order" and are heavily discouraged from any thoughts of resistance. Suspicion fills the streets as anyone could be an agent or simply an informant for the Inquisition and as such the only citizens that trust one another are those in service to the military government. Oddly enough though, despite the iron grasp of the Inquisition, slavery is outlawed and considered a capital offence with any slaves that are brought to the planet being freed and offered citizenship immediately upon arrival.
  • Imports: Slaves, Raw Materials, Tools, Components, Foodstuffs, Luxury Items
  • Exports: Ships, Scrap, Weapons, Equipment
MILITARY INFORMATION
  • Military Strength Rating: Low
  • Military Force Name: Inquisitorial Order of Faldos
  • Military Force: Currently the forces of the Inquisition are spread across garrisons in the handful of major cities that adorn the planet, as well as in some key trade ports and in a handful of stations in the system itself. The actual strength of the military is fairly lacking due to a simple shortage of manpower and installations but hold the advantage over any criminal or rebel groups due to the fact that they are essentially the only source of weapons on the planet.
  • Military Role: Given that Faldos is effectively under permanent martial law, the military is used as both a defensive force and a police force. They have even usurped and replaced local police units, what little there were to begin with at least, and have full control of all movement within the system itself. With conscription and the nationalization of industry it seems as though Faldos itself is merely the base and supplier for the military rather than the military being stationed on it.
  • Military Installations: N/A
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The fate of the smuggler world of Faldos was sealed the moment that an invasion fleet of the Sith Order appeared over the world, the subsequent conquest being brutal yet efficient due to the planet lacking a real centralized authority and defense aside from some major gangs and criminal organizations. A collaborative criminal kingpin was set up as the governor of the planet to rule and manage the world for the Sith Order, but his reign did not last long. One month after the invasion the governor was dragged into a trial by Knight Inquisitor Strosius for crimes against the Sith Order and was found guilty.

This was admittedly not a surprise as the governor's treason was well documented due to investigations that the Inquisition had performed beforehand, what was surprising however was that the trial also declared that Faldos would not receive a new governor nor would the people elect one. Rather, Darth Strosius decreed that the planet needed to be "tamed" and "brought in line" due to the still heavy presence of smugglers and other criminal activity on the world.

Faldos would be brought under control of the Inquisition Order under Darth Strosius without much room or time for protest, the few existing institutions of the world quickly being dissolved and replaced by the overarching will of the Knight Inquisitor. The two first actions of the new Inquisitorial Governor would lay the foundations for the future of the smuggler world going forward, one being the founding of the Inquisitorial Armory to centralize and nationalize the arms dealing and manufacturing industries and the other being the establishment of indoctrination centers for the citizenry to be educated and reformed into "proper citizens of the Sith Order."

With the initial forces of the Inquisition Order now very overstretched due to them replacing the policing forces on the planet, a small conscription policy alongside volunteer recruitment was put into place as well. Minor criminals were either put to work in public welfare projects or conscripted into the growing Order as most major criminals were simply publicly executed to set an example for the wider criminal populace. Crime across the planet plummeted within the first few weeks of the Inquisition's occupation as a result.

The population of the world would also start to see a gradual increase as slaves from within and outside of the Sith Order were "purchased" by the Inquisitorial Governor and offered citizenship on Faldos. These new arrivals made the employment market far more competitive and forced many residents both old and new to turn to the nationalized industries or the military in order to find proper employment opportunites.

As it stands the occupation of Faldos has gone on surprisingly long, and it doesn't seem as if it shall end anytime soon. There have been a few requests from the Sith Order and the people of the planet itself to see a proper governor installed but each time the requests have been denied by Darth Strosius. In order to reward the compliant citizenry however a council of elected representatives from across the planet has been freshly established, although they have no authority and essentially are just a board of advisors for the Inquisitorial Governor to listen to or ignore as he pleases.

The system is also under heavy protection and control with the only real traffic being allowed by the decree of the Knight Inquisitor that of the Inquisition itself. Even the Sepulchral Priests, who have been attempting to spread the Eternalist doctrine to Faldos since the world's conquest, have often been either turned away or forced to leave due to sudden and unexpected assassination attempts and terror attacks on the priests.

All in all, despite its inclusion in the Sith Order and thus promised representation within the wider empire, Darth Strosius appears to be the sole authority over Faldos in most respects.
