OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Delphoan
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Grown aboard Sventove Carriers operated by the Order of Wonosa
  • Average Lifespan: 80-110 Standard Years (Cloned individuals have a noticeably shorter lifespan of around 50-60 Standard Years)
  • Estimated Population: Scattered
  • Description: The Delphoan can be identified easily enough by their finely striated leathery skin, typically sporting a purplish or grey tone. They tend to have either white or dark hair, somewhat stark in comparison to their own skin tones. It is also quite rare to see them without some padded or protective clothing.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type 1
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.73 Meters / 5'6 Feet
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Usually shades of light purple and lavender as well as some shades of grey
  • Hair color: Monochrome colors ranging from stark white to greys and blacks
  • Distinctions: Delphoan skin is somewhat leathery and quite tough, relatively speaking at least, and is their most obvious deviation from most other Near-Humans. Beneath the external view however lies their clearest distinction. Throughout their whole body, the Delphoa sport numerous "hearts" in a wide spread and decentralized cardiovascular system rather than having one centralized major organ. This makes their bodies far more efficient in terms of usage and blood circulation however it does make them very susceptible to bleeding out from grievous injuries and especially from piercing or slashing wounds in general.
  • Races: N/A
  • Force Sensitivity: Standard
Strengths:
  • Hearts by the Number: Throughout their whole bodies, Delphoans possess hearts that expedite the cardiovascular processes to an extreme degree. Not only does this allow them to physically outperform most other species, it also gives them quite the defense against some external ailments such as that of extensive g-forces.
  • Natural Pilots: Due in part to their Atoan hearts system, the Delphoa are extraordinary pilots able to not only endure extreme g-forces and thus making them capable of risky maneuvers at speeds that most other non-Force Sensitive Near-Humans couldn't perform but also allowing them to make more efficient use of low oxygen environments and conditions without much loss in performance.
Weaknesses:
  • Hemophobia: Due to the nature of the Delphoan's hearts, almost any deep wound is likely to result in dramatic blood loss. Likewise something as drastic as the removal of any significant body part will more than likely prove fatal for the Delphoan in question. This makes any sort of direct combat employment immensely dangerous for them.
  • Push it to the Limit: While the bodies of the Delphoa can move and exert themselves far more efficiently than most other Near-Human species, there is a catch that only the Delphoans themselves can really account for. While their cardiovascular system is stunningly efficient, the rest of their body isn't quite up to par in comparison. For example while they are generally stronger than other species, their physical durability doesn't at all scale to match that strength.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore
  • Communication: Standard spoken languages like most sentient species, typically using Galactic Basic and Common Sith
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: As with all Inductii clones, the Delphoa are taught and brought up in the ways of the Kotsûshatul Itsu. In particular they take a more self-reflective and constructive view of the teachings of the cult and emphasize self-improvement as their chosen perception of the teachings. This has made them perhaps the most independently minded of the Inductii species in terms of outlook, however it has in practice done little to distinguish them from most other pilots within the ranks of the Order of Wonosa.
  • General behavior: The Delphoa are perhaps the most varied of the Inductii species in regards to their attitudes and moods. They range from stoic professionals to hotheaded daredevils, the most common denominator being an innate sense of pride. Pride in their skills and capabilities has come to define them as a people in their limited time in the galaxy, the main difference between any one Delphoan is that of how they choose to express or pursue this pride. Whether this transforms into ambition and daring or complacency and surety, to reach to further heights or stay at their well earned niche. This is what the Delphoa as a whole seek in their lives.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Pilots within the Order of Wonosa had always been something of a precious and rare commodity and skillset, even amongst their already fairly limited ranks. It was rather rare for them to recruit anyone with piloting experience and as such they by and large had to train all of theirs from the ground up. Finding a solution to this issue was among one of the primary goals behind the Inductii Manifest actually, making the Delphoa one of the more cultivated and specifically engineered of the cloned species.

The Delphoans were engineered to fill this gap in their ranks perfectly, natural born pilots who were raised and instructed not only through the typical Wonosan teachings but also with a bit of Pamarthen flair in order to capitalize on their inherent abilities with starships. While almost all Delphoa would find their way into the cult's naval forces and indeed the vast majority would wind up in the Starfighter Corps, many would also come to fill out other roles within the Armada as well.

Engineering and physical labor overall was another easy fit for many Delphoans, giving them an odd kinship with droids and machinery that has sparked a burgeoning interest in research and development. Only time will tell if the Delphoa will pursue these interests in the mechanical with as much fervor as they do piloting.
