- Primary Source: N/A
- Manufacturer: FOTM
- Affiliation: FOTM, Anyone wanting to create droids
- Market Status: Open-Market
- Model: INC Mark I
- Modularity: Yes
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Electronics encased in Reinforced Duraplast
- Reinforced Duraplast Casing housing the core
- Reward algorithms that simulate dopamine when droids do the jobs they were assigned to. Each droid has a random reward rate to encourage individuality.
- Reinforced Duraplast casing protects the neural core from being destroyed by the average ION/EMP weapons
- As long as the neural core is not destroyed when a droid is killed it can be salvaged and the droid can be revived if the core is put into a new droid body
- Droids housing this neural core are resistant to basic restraining bolts
- Due to the fact the droids with this neural core are not limited to following their programming they have a drastic increase in adaptability compared to droids using normal neural cores
- As these neural cores encourage independence slicers may have trouble hacking into multiple droids quickly as each ones mind will be different
- The Duraplast casing only protects the neural core from ION/EMP weapons not the rest of the droid
- Should the reward Algorithms count be set too high the droids may get obsessive over their jobs. Example being Medical droids may perform unnecessary medical procedures while combat droids may become bloodthirsty with their being no programming limits to prevent this behaviour
- The Droids are not forced to follow their programming which can cause problems for factories that do not treat them fairly
- Droids using these neural core are more likely to be affected by moral due to not being forced to do things like fighting by programming
Lord Mettallum has had a hard time balancing out the idea of free droids and ensuring his droid forces willingly do the jobs they were manufactured for. After long debate and discussion a neural core that would allow free unenslaved droids to be mass produced without a large number refusing to do the jobs they were manufactured for was developed. Based on simulating the chemical compound found in many organic species known as dopamine instead of forcing droids to follow their programming this neural core encourages them to do the jobs they are manufactured for but allows them to choose their own path should they truly want to. To help protect the minds of droids in these neural cores it was decided to also include a duraplast casing so that even though should situations happen that droids get their bodies destroyed there would be a higher chance their minds may be saved and put into a new body.
