Emptying his revolver towards the attackers did nothing. His attempts to harm anyone were in vain and his remaining men began to panic. Turning to his left, he quickly slid his revolver into his bantha hide holster. With a muttered profanity, he proceeded to sprint towards his three remaining men. Moments before reaching them, he was interrupted as the concussion grenade went off, sending him to his knees as he barked in agony, his men doing the same.

The pain was incredible, as he was unable to even shout to his men. He slowly glanced up, watching two of his men being instantly killed due to a blaster bolt or slugthrower, the disoriented general could not tell. Slowly, he pulled himself up, quickly sprinting over to his final soldier. Quickly, he grabbed onto the man's shoulder, quickly rushing away.

He would not lose his entire squad. Quickly, he rushed behind a large pillar, quickly falling to the ground. He attempted to speak, but his sentence was almost nothing but panicked gibberish. "F-f-find...t-t-the...r-r-rest of the...s-squad. Ev-...Evacuate...civ-.", the general interrupted himself mid-sentence, gritting his teeth in pain as he watched the soldier nod, quickly rushing off into the crowd of civilians.

KNOCK KNOCK MOTHERKARKERS

The Techno Union had awoken something terrible in Alen Na'Varro. It was his passion, his desire that had been lacking for so long. There was fire within his eyes again. Why? One of the Great Powers was attempting to drag his homeworld into the giant Cloud-building Game, which was something that he had been hoping to avoid. Ascension had separated itself from galactic politics for thousands of years, and Na'Varro had aimed to keep it that way. Could he resist the Techno Union? If not, he would ensure that the terms were favourable.

-Alen Na'Varro, of the Council of Hegemons.- A protocol droid announced his arrival as he strode imperiously into the board room. The other Hegemons rose to meet him ... he brushed past them before rounding on them with a glint of steel in his eyes.

"What is going on here? Why wasn't I notified?"

"Na'Varro, we-"

"You will not negotiate away our livelihoods, not on my watch. All of you sit down and shut up." His look showed he would brook no argument. This exchange happened as if the Techno Union representatives were not there; only now did he acknowledge their existence.

Na'Varro took his seat at the head of the boardroom. He sat forward in the chair, resting his elbows on the table and his head on a clenched fist.

"Now we will negotiate." He smiled. "And I will decide whether I start killing people or not."

There were, in the end, very few people for whom Ashin would go to bat. But, as her face had been known to provoke certain responses, the bodyguard who stalked in Na'Varro's wake clearly wasn't A.C.D. Varanin. Just a hard-edged, masked woman in a black Sasori bodyglove with a Ke'dem contractor patch. Force signature? Not really. By that, she didn't hope to bait someone into precipitous action; instead, it was a matter of focus. She could disguise or alter her Force presence in various complex ways -- she'd been quite good at it once -- but she'd spent so many years as a specialist that those skills had grown rusty. So her current presence was merely muted, and still noticeably Dark if someone paid quite close attention.

As Na'Varro took a seat, Ashin selected a spot two steps behind him and to the left.

Vilaz’s arrow soared through the sky with fury, and tore through the officiant’s head. His head exploding like a ripe cherry. Bits of blood, brain, and skull rained down on the horrified guests. With that, all hell broke loose. Vengarl, and the other Mandalorians, burst out from the limousine, guns blazing.

Vengarl was armed to the teeth. He could take on a small army. He raised his M-29 Mythosaur, and fired into the crowd. The frag rounds collided with the security forces, and detonated. The church erupted with explosion, after explosion, as parts of the security forces were launched in each direction. He fired until his clip emptied, then switched to his assault rifle.

The wedding turned into a bloody massacre. The dead littered the church. In the chaos, Vengarl noticed the bride-to-be making for an escape. “We’ve got a run-away-bride!” he exclaimed. Vengarl turned to Artesia, and motioned for her to follow him. “Our money is trying to escape!” He said, pointing to the fleeing bride.

Vengarl ejected his grenade launcher clip, and slapped in a new one. The two Mandalorians then entered the mansion in pursuit.

Not entirely unexpected was the arrival of Na’Varro. She had seen the briefings of the world, and the man had been an old hand at the Fringe Federation. That wasn’t a bad thing, considering one iteration or another of the Union was on good terms with the now-defunct government. But that wasn’t immediately in the mind of our technophile here. Nope, she was more wondering how this would change the meeting.

Our little cyberpunk couldn’t help but smile. It was nice to see some texture, someone who worried on their world. The one concern with her is how this would change the meeting. She was going to sit back and be ready in case something happened.

Something here, being that a diplomat talked themselves into a corner. From behind her armor, she watched.

“Destroying livelihoods? All due respect, Mr. Na’Varro, we’re not in the game of ruining worlds. What is it you are expecting to happen from the end of this meeting?” A male Bothan began to speak.

A single shot from a sniper rifle signalled the commencement of the assault on the wedding venue to Artesia and the other Madalorians who were in the limousine with her. Upon witnessing the officiant’s brains splatter on the bride and groom, the Mandalorians piled out of the vehicle and open fired at those who were in attendance of the ceremony.

The guests – innocent bystanders really, fell to the ground from all directions - a vain attempt to avoid the attack. Bodies started flying when several of the Mandalorians took out their grenade launcher and unloaded it indiscriminately on both the guards and the bride’s security personnel.

“We’ve got a run-away-bride!” Vengarl exclaimed. He then turned to Artesia, and motioned for her to follow him. “Our money is trying to escape!”

Artesia nodded in response and followed the man into the mansion, taking out the Beskad blade from her belt. She was prepared to cut down anything or anyone that miraculously evaded Vengarl’s attacks.

She was tasked here to research the available boats as a potential gift. For Judah Dashiell and Makai to be exact. She heard that Ascension had extensive seafaring shipyards, and that one of the summer dry docks just might have what she was looking for.

Although truth be told, she wasn’t quite sure exactly what she was looking for.

It was a strange thing, buying Lifeday presents. Such a strange custom. However, that wasn't the only reason.

The fisheries along Ascension from her notes brought in a good deal of quality fish. With how the planet had taken itself out of politics and simply focused on having the kind of life without industry, one could tell why the quality was there. These were icefishing communities. Nothing on a grand scale.

Profit could potentially be made at going to these sustainable fishing farms and attempting to off. Investing in a new model of rapid delivery freighter would be a logical step as well.

Cutter's comlink would begin to blink red, which was the signal he'd been waiting for. His sharpshooters would begin to fire at the enemy (Vilaz), and he would relay the signal to his fire team. Turning to them, he would yell, "Go, go, go!"
Without waiting for a response, he would shoot up to the surface just in time to see a concussion grenade get fired over the crowd. His helmet's noise filters would soften the noise, but he still stumbled back a bit in surprise. After taking a second to get his bearings, the mercenary would look the the explosive's source. Tracing it to its source, he would see someone in Mandalorian armor cowering behind a limousine with a grenade launcher in hand. Frowning, the crack shot would raise his assault rifle and switch it to burst fire. It was loaded with explosive Sith Killer rounds, which could pack quite the punch. He shot them not at the armored figure, but at the limo's gas tank. If they made contact, the vehicle would cause a large explosion, hopefully sending the hostile right into the afterlife.

Tajjes dim eyes and wandering helm would suddenly snap around, facing Ajihad, his turquoise optical sensors blaring to a brighter shade.

<Systems engaging

T-19 would be off like a rocket for the surface, swimming upward, his own aquatic gear being rotors, which generated thousands of bubbles as he lasered for the surface. Luthian would be behind him, he knew that much, but at the moment—he had an overriding urge to go first. He was the droid, so he was more expendable than her anyways. The commando droids gear would remain on his back, though it would fold up as he set foot onto solid ground, dripping terribly from the water. Only to see a chatic scene unfolding before him. There was no order, as countless died in the fray. Such a terrible experience for the organics designated for Bride and Groom. Tajje thought to himself, as the grenades boomed.

Tajjes eyes were sharp, however, and he would hear after the blasting

‘We’ve got a run-away-bride!---Our money is trying to escape!’

The voice emitted from a disappearing armored warrior, accompanied by a female warrior as well. Just from looking to their armor designs, T-19 was able to surmise rapidly they were Mandolorian, hence they were nothing short of murderous adversaries. The commando droid would glance at the scene before him, before darting forward to follow the two going after the Bride and Groom, as they had announced after (and during) gunfire.
“There.” Tajje would mutter, assuming Luthian was behind him. “Follow my lead.” Tajje would state, before darting right for the fray, his legs blurs as he launched himself forward. Tajjes processor was one that could compute extremely fast, his own reflexes capable of rivaling a jedi or sith’s any day. The droid’s optics had forged for him a trail just as quickly as they had located his targets, and as the droid bolted, he would unsheathe one of his knives, then fling it with expertise at a large object above: the chandelier. His curved and insanely sharp blade would whisp through the air, severing the chandeliers shackle to the ceiling, sending it plummeting down on a dead audience that was before him.

The chandelier would shatter its glass upon contact with the ground, but T-19 would keep running—now it was right in front of the commando droid. He would leap, outstretching his servos in an excellent dive for the chandelier, his hands grabbing it. He would not establish a tight grip, as he would apply the built-up momentum he had created when bolting, and then his arms would shove him backward into the air, his own strength added with his rhythm permitting him to become air born. The droid would literally fly over any grenade damage, and the total fray in general, before his feet would hit the floor at an angle. The droid’s balance would come into play, as he gracefully slid along the polished tile to the doorway which the two Mandolorians :) @Artesia Vereenhttp://starwarsrp.net/user/9726-artesia-vereen/ , [member="Vengarl Vereen"] ) had exited.

Instinctively, as he would resume dashing for the two, he would draw two additional throwing knives—and give the large killing outside his absence. T-19 had the confidence that his partner would be able to keep up, right behind him or in front of him. As he ensued them down the hall, Tajjes thin turquoise eyes would glow, his silent and demonic speed lending him an extra advantage before he threw both knives for the two mandolorians, one knife for each of their exposed backs. The knives were ones that had jagged blades, and designed to easily dig into many a armor or hide. Antoher feature of the knives thrown were that they, upon contact, would electrocute its victim with 500 volts. A crippling blow, though Tajje was all about being deadly and efficient.

Just like Tajje had anticipated, Luthian was on her toes to keep up with Tajje. Exiting the lake, and into the wedding's chaos, Luthian look a detour of the grenade and chaos. Luthian's jetpack- an attachment from her previous mandalorian armor- shot Luthian up in the air a tad bid. The boost assisted Luthian so that she could scale the side of the wall horizontally. By the time the grenade detonated, Luthian was in the same situation, partially airborne and avoiding most of the damages. If Luthian hadn't been wearing her helmet, she'd most likely have a ring in her ears.

Landing a second later, Luthian followed her Mechromancer counterpart through the corridor, seeing the two mandalorians. Using the wall to her disposal, Luthian launched herself against the wall and over Tajje. If Tajje's knifes caused the mandalorians to turn or not, they'd both receive Luthian up close and personal. Landing a few feet in front of the Clann Vereen members and producing four or five rounds of corrosive shotgun pellets in their general direction. Mostly consisting of acid properties, things were most likely getting ugly.

Fish populations are sensitive to changes in the environment, and an example of this is Ascension. An increased melting of sea ice can affect the temperature, circulation, and chemistry of the ocean, and it can drive new efforts to access resources that had been out of reach. When fishing advances without careful planning, it can cause serious environmental and economic damage that lasts for decades.

This was environmental and economic damage Danger was trying to avoid. Thus Arceneau Trade grounded its decision in an ecosystem-based perspective that acknowledges complex interactions among parts of the food web that could easily be disrupted without careful planning. Fishing, then, should be based on sound scientific research and analysis, and should enable the ecosystem to continue to benefit both current and future generations. IT was a task to proceed with caution and manage sustainable fishing in a way that minimizes its harm to the entire ecosystem.

The first task was to send out Mara Tibx and Browncoat Industrial research and development team to overview and study the land. A thorough analysis would give Danger the information required to move to the next step.

Xander always loved it when people said slow down and then all hell breaks loose when you do. Seriously he was massively confused about who was where and what the heck was going on. It's why he hates massively large group threads where people don't seem to read what others are posting. Oh well... that was him. The biggest thing was to keep his child alive. It didn't matter they were in house by the time any grenades seemed to be launced at them, or the fact he was now staring down at some kind of smoke creature... what in the world. The best thing to do was grab Thais and run.

"No time for anything else, we're out of her," he said not wanting to converse with the smoke thing at all. If this was some kind of ploy to get them to stay put it didn't work. Xander was a Sith Lord after all.

Xander picked her up, and ran out the window of the opposite end. Crashing through the glass, he sped off toward the spaceport where his yacht was waiting to take them off to their honeymoon. If he had to fight, it was going to be on his terms.

ooc: admitidely I did some handwavium here... because I really have no clue what is going on as there is no sense of a posting order atm. I was told we needed to slow things down which we did, but some aren't reading other people's posts it seems. If you plan on following us to do battle at the space port, we can set up shop there, but PM me or tag me on the ooc so we can plan this out better and make sure everyone knows who is where.

Thais felt severly underdressed in her black bodyglove, so she grabbed an over-sized, brocaded jacket and threw it over her pregnant frame. Quickly her husband-to-be grabbed her in his arms, and they literally leapt out the front window. The Princess tucked herself into a ball in Xander's arms, but with his telekinesis, none of the glass would cut either of them. I need to work on my Force powers, thought Thais, suitably impressed as they landed softly as though on a plush cushion, neither of them without a scratch. But not until Abigail is born. She was the Princess's sole focus, and aside from the King, nothing else mattered much to her right now. The attack today put much in perspective for the young royal. No longer was she focused on expanding Kallisto Mining Company; no longer did she want to depose the deputy-governor and stage a coup d'état on Isis.

She only wanted her heir to be safe. And she desperately wanted to be a mother, more than ever before. Granted, Abigail would need to be raised by a nursemaid, but Thais was resolved to do all she could to be there for her daughter. This was clear to her now, when before it was a blurry and unfocused half-dream.

Once they reached the spaceport, Thais said, "I am not the expert, My King, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone in this spaceport could marry us. Surely there are officials such as that in such a populated place with customs and things?" It was not the ideal exchange of vows that the Princess had envisioned, but at this point in time, she would just be happy to be legally wed before she went into labor.

"Less than ideal, but more ideal than you having that baby out of wedlock."

Abigail could not be the heir if she were a bastard. They had to wed, and it had to happen today. She was 30 weeks along and in 10 short weeks would be entering the world. Xander knew they had to wed. A ceremony on Indupar was planned for another time already for the sake of the people there if it was needed. It seemed it would be now.

Xander searched for someone, a lawgiver, someone who could perform a legal wedding. They had a certificate so all they needed was a preecher, even a shady one would do. An older man was found who said he could perform the ceremony, and Xander offered him credits, a lot of credits if he'd perform the wedding. They would be taken to a small chapel in the center of the space port. Hopefully they would be safe...

"As long as we were not followed, we will be safe."

But they were being followed. In fact, the entire time that Princess Kallisto was getting dressed and prepared for her walk down the aisle, a contingent of government officials from Isis, including law enforcement, had made their way to Ascension. But the sniper's shot which rang out during the ceremony caused enough pandemonium to thwart their plans.

But now that the couple had fled, they were alone and vulnerable. The one was a Sith Lord, so extra caution was needed.

The government official, a male human, approached the pair. His colleague was a female Gutretee which tipped off the Princess right away. These individuals were from Isis.

"Princess Thais Kalliso, please come with us. You know what this is about."

Thais stood there for a moment speechless. She was exhausted, confused and frightened. The Princess had been looking forward to this day her whole life... but let's face it, her holopicture-perfect wedding had already been ruined by the rogue Mandalorian soldiers. Bottom line, Princess Thais Kallisto was tired of running and fighting with her government, which no doubt, this was about.

"I do," she said. Thais could barely look Xander in the eyes. He would never forgive her as leaving now would mean her Abigail would be born out of wedlock. She wasn't sure what at all it did to any inheritance. But she had run out of steam to fight any longer. She raised her pale, slender, unadorned hands, then crossed them. Stun cuffs were placed gently around her wrists by the Isis official.

"This way, Princess Kallisto," he said, and with that, she left the King behind in the spaceport. She would likely await her trial in a prison cell, but hopefully she would be out in time to have the baby in a normal medical ward or ideally at the Crystal Palace.

Dorskit was sitting in his Nar Shadaa office squeezing a stress ball and gazing out over the promenade. Since Nar Shaddaa was now in Techno Union space, the criminal defense attorney had a pile of new cases to sort through. Lucrative cases. No more did he need to represent "Fat Jimmy" from the Shaddaa Shake Hut who swindled his business partner out of 8,000 credits. He was deep in the world of white collar crimes now - embezzlement, fraud, hacking and corporate espionage. His hourly rate had skyrocketed; you couldn't even look at Dorskit Wolf without being prepared to plunk down 5,000 credits for an initial meeting.

His thoughts were interrupted by a holocall. "Yes. Yes, I see. Hmmmm. Okay, I'll be right there."

Slipping into his most expensive jacket, he had his assisant prepare an overnight bag, and after a short ride to the center spaceport, he was off to the planet of Ascension. Once he was in the shuttle and on the way, he recorded his notes aloud to his protocol droid.

"I'm on the way to a high security prison on in Tulii, Ascension. My client is a Princess." If Dorskit had eyebrows they would be raised right now.

"The Princess Thais Kallisto is wanted for attempting to overthrow the Isis government by military force. Other charges against her include slavery, which is outlawed in Techno Union space. She is wanted in connection with the death of the Governor of Neskroff, Isis, which was deemed suspicious. But according to my notes here, the Foreman of the Techno Union would like to investigate these charges in person. It's possible that the Princess has been set-up and is truly innocent of these crimes as petitioned by the Foreman and one Xander Blackmoore, relationship: fiancé and one Crix Meriet, relationship: employee."

He looked up at his protocol droid, "If she has friends on the inside, it will make my job a whole lot easier."

Dorskit checked his chrono. He would be there in two hours. Enough time to squeeze in a nap.

It had been less than an hour when the Deputy-Governor of Isis called my office to inform me that he had taken Thais Kallisto prisoner and his men had arrested her under his order. Why he had done that wasn’t important. He had extended a courtesy to me by informing the Techno Union she was being held so that he could legally expedite her to be tried on Isis. He wanted to make sure everything he did was on the up and up. What he hadn’t been expecting was for me to take an interest and inform him I would be personally investigating his claims before I approved her extradition from Techno Union space.

About thirty minutes after his call I sat in a room with him and four other ministers and bureaucrats. There was still blood and grime on my armor and coat, my axes still slick from butchering her wedding guests in a most violent fashion. When in war time your leader should be a warrior after all.

Princess Kallisto, and numerous members of the government including Herak of her majesty’s guard plotted to overthrow the rightful government and had the Governor of the world assassinated for this purpose, I have ample evidence to show you mister Foreman, but you will have to give me time to have copies sent to your office.” He said, quite annoyed his courtesy call had only bought him a meeting with a pillaging barbarian chieftain.

I could care less about your evidence. I want to speak with her, then I will make a decision,” came the reply, almost lazily.

What do you have to speak to her about?

Her release. I can see into a person’s soul. There are no secrets that can be kept from me. If I believe she is innocent, she is. If I believe she is guilty, she is.

I understand the Force works like that, but our justice system wants to see her and her coconspirators tried in open court. We have enough evidence to put them all under the axe, but they deserve their day in court.

Tell her attorney that I have arranged for her to be moved to a more comfortable cell given her condition. That much is fact. And I will decide whether or not you can extradite her after a short interview.” I left off the blatant threats and intimidation tactics. There was no need when you held all the cards.

Crix took a moment to take stock of the situation as he leant on the door frame of the visitors entrance of the maximum security prison that was holding his frenemy Thais the royal whore of isis.

Much had happened since he'd sent Toby for champagne. The wedding had begun, the priest had been shot, crix had drunk his champagne, the guests had been massacred and Toby had been well and truly traumatised. Thais would pay for this her wedding her problem. Not the less Crix had taken his bloodstained beauty by the hand and took him out of the wedding. sneaking him out through the kitchen and into a waiting car, crix had friends afterall. Dispatching Toby with a kiss on the forehead and a promise to the driver that if his Toby didn't make it to [member="Cryax Bane"] on Nar Kreeta alive then Crix would flay him and his family arrive.

Then he had gone in search of the Princess arriving in time to see the arrest of the princess watching with sick satisfaction. This could mean a victory, if only it was clean ... but if he won like this he'd have to clean up and he didn't want that. He watched as the princess was carted off by the soldiers. Once she was gone he emerged from the shadows "Officers" He called swaning forward "Crix Meriet, I need a visitation pass to see the princess ..." They were dubious why should they give him what he asked for? who was he? He was their source of information he had been in regular contact with the governor since the royal whore had tried to sell his Toby. They checked and he checked out. Therefore he left the spaceport with the 'secret' prison location.

"Crix Meriet, to see Her Majesty " He said as he entered the visitors reception "I have permission from the deputy governor ... I'll see her now" He added waving a data pad.

By the time Thais got to the prison, was medically evaluated, and had something to eat and drink, she was back to being her normal demanding self. This time there were no courtiers, handmaidens or servants to attend to her every need. Just stony-faced Ascension prison guards.

"I will not wear that jump suit!" Thais protested when prison attendants tried to get her to wear the uniform. She slapped them away in a huff. "And I'm not going in that cell. The bed is just a bare mattress, and the refresher is open for all of the world to see. And it's cold and wet and there's mold in there. That type of toxic mold can harm a woman who is thirty weeks pregnant!" If she didn't yell, she thought she may become inconsolable. Ordering around the guards gave her a sense of control in this place of pandemonium.

Finally the weary guards, placed her in a nicer cell - one that was reserved for the Ascenscion monarchy. She was assigned a private guard since she was with child. His name was Nalfin.

"Your Highness, you have visitors," said Nalfin.

"Xander..." started the Princess, rising up hopefully.

"No, that name isn't on the list. It's Draco Vereen, Crix Meriet and your lawyer, Dorskit Wolf."

"A lawyer, perfect!" exclaimed Thais, trying to hide her disappointment that her husband-to-be had not come. "Good old Mr. Meriet too. But Draco Vereen... I don't believe I know who that this. Anyway, please show them in."

Nalfin sighed and activated the security door that separated her cell from the rest of the prison. The visitors would be allowed to come in to see the Princess.
