In the shadows, we train. (Open to SJO Shadows)

It was time for Ilwynog to gather the Shadows and work with them on the path that they had in mind for the Shadows. A network of spies, of informants who would provide Ilwynog the information he would need and want on their enemies and even allies. To work in the shadows and to be everywhere, it was their plan to ensure that no one could surprise the Silver Jedi with an attack. At least, not surprise the Silver Jedi with another attack on Kashyyyk, the Mandalorians got away with it too much and they were not happy that the Shadows couldn't prevent such attacks or at least warn the SJO of the upcoming attack. With the Sith encroaching their borders, now was more important than ever that the Shadows needed to be mobilised and organised.

The point of Ilwynog was to remain a shadow, someone with no real identity and could be anyone. It was a level of trust that the Shadow's leader was not an actual criminal like rumours suggested of Ilwynog, however, today was a plan of introductions and training. Ilwynog was curious to see where the Shadows's skills lay at the moment, to see where improvements could be made and to see where their strengths laid for now. Ilwynog donned their armour and cloak, identity hidden once again as they entered the secured room.

Looking around, Ilwynog grabbed a chair and sat down. Looking around, they leaned back and sighed, there would be questions some that they could answer and others they could not. Typing away, they were currently working on an assignment, a lead on some dealings that were going on the border of SJO space were linked to gang activity. Ilwynog planned an activity post introductions, an icebreaker and a way to test everyone's skills.

Sure, Griet's greatest successes as a Jedi Shadow were on Rhen Var and Kadavo, but she knew using (and perhaps even abusing) external auditing as a cover for espionage could only get her so far. Sluis Van, Danuta were other operations where she could use external audits to get the job done. Then again, she came to the location designated by [member="Ilwynog Cysgod"] in hopes of knowing more about this "mystery client" and if that mystery client actually believes an external audit implies wrongdoing on the auditee's part. In her experience of accounting, it has never been easier for CPA designations to translate to other jurisdictions, because external auditing's perception among the public is at best uneven and at worst merciless, so most would-be accountants instead want to work in what is called, in accounting circles, industry (i.e. work for a corporate or institutional employer). Yet, she has the feeling that using accounting to hide her Jedi-hood under won't be as effective as originally estimated and that she may need to impair that asset, which means incurring extra expenses.

"Griet van Vliet, CPA. What accounting needs do you have today?"

Ven grumbled to himself as he wandered down the various corridors that made up Silver's Rest. Recent weeks had been rather boring for the halfbreed, considering the most action he'd seen consisted of the Mandalorian attack and smacking around any padawan who grew over confident. Teaching, studying, and all the other generic Jedi habits were never really his thing. Years under the Sith Empire had turned him into a warrior, assassin, and conqueror. Dozens of politicians had met their doom on the end of his lightsaber, double that arbitrary number and you'd wind up at the number of Jedi slaughtered by his hand. It was not a past he was particularly proud of, but it was his own. Each mission he had taken as the Emperor's Wrath amounted to a near-unparalleled killer. Yet, the Order had apparently found a need for his skills. Shadows, the Jedi called them. A far more dramatic way to say murderer or assassin, but it was irrelevant. Those who knew what they were made for fine allies, those who hid behind such a pretty title were likely to die beneath it. And to be honest, he couldn't find it within himself to care.

Moving to the end on one particularly long corridor, Ven stopped before the door and sighed aloud. He made no attempts to hide his presence, in fact, he made a point of dragging his feet with each step. He fumbled with the terminal controlling the door before finally succeeding in activating it. The door slid open, revealing him to those already within. His silver hair was tied up and back, a lightsaber hung at his belt, and his clothing looked like he wandered in from a day's work. Given he made his trip from a nearby cantina he worked at, it wasn't surprising at all.

"Hmm," Ven moved in and strode towards a seat located a reasonable distance away from the others. His eyes consistently shifted from those within and whatever exits lined the room. His eyes slid closed as his hands rose up and clasped together behind his head. "How troublesome."

Lex, in the kindest way of saying it, wasn't a team player. He didn't like working in tandem with others, being actively ordered around, or just in general being nagged or told what to do on a usual basis. He tolerated it when coming from someone he respected, the most common case being Mon-Ike-Do, but when it came to others, he at the very best was only able to hold his tongue. He just wasn't a follower. He operated best like a missile; given a target, and then left to his own devices on how to get to it. It was why he enjoyed his work both as a Investigator and a Shadow.

As the former, he was usually on top of the chain of command when called in, and was able to conduct his investigations as he saw fit. Witnesses, leads, evidence sources, they all fell on him. For the later, well, it seemed like the job he was born to do. The very nature of being a shadow meant being out of immediate view, working on the small scale to organize things on the large scale. When they were alone, they could work miracles. But... on the occasions when they had to come together, well.... that's when the impossible could happen.

Which was probably why the Lead Shadow had called this little briefing together. A little meet and greet, he guessed. Lex, in all honesty, could be one of the most isolated members of the Order, even for a Shadow. He could count on both hands how many Jedi he'd recognized since he'd came to the Temple, with fingers to spare. So, he figured, there was no harm in learning a new name or face, and adding to potential contacts.

He paused at the door, thinking back on the access code to enter it, pressing the digits slowly before being granted access. His immediate thought upon entering? There weren't a lot of them. He didn't expect the room to be pack but... less than a dozen? Surprising, to say the least. He took a seat at the table, slumping back in his chair and settling his hands in his lap. "So-", he looked around a bit, "-no snacks?"

It hadn't taken long for Ezekiel to find a place for his skills within the Silver Jedi. Well, it may have been considered long for others, but not for Ezekiel who was taught to be patient in all things. The man had been traveling from one planet to the next, trying to find a place that could use his skills for others. He had finally come across the Silver Jedi and decided to give it a chance, despite not feeling comfortable around those who had lightsabers and could use their minds to move things.

Ezekiel had originally opted to join the Rangers, seeing them as a good fit after being allowed to set foot on the Jedi planet and assist. A different path opened to him later though, which allowed him to become a shadow. A bit of time had passed since that path opened up and now he was going to the gathering of this group.

The operative wasted no time getting to the meeting, seeing it as important to be on time. putting in the code for the door, he gained access to the secure room. Ezekiel took a quick look at everyone inside as the door closed shut, noticing one distinct thing: he was, or at least seemed to be, the only one who wasn't a lightsaber wielding force user. He pushed the thought aside and moved to sit down in a nearby chair.
