Ilwynog had been at the council meeting that discussed young Aayla's fate, they had been mixed about the decision the council gave. While they believed that the Order needed to be using every person they could, it was also a concern that things for Aayla would not change. That several months down the line she would be back at the council, pleading to return to the field again after ignoring orders given in the field. This was where Ilwynog decided to step in, while they weren't Aayla's Master, they were interested in overseeing the Padawan's progress to ensure the best is brought out of her. Especially since she seemed interested in the Shadows, something that Ilwynog had dedicated their lives in order to serve best. Donning their armour once more, Ilwynog looked around the safehouse they were staying at on Nar Shaddaa, while it was part of the SJC, Ilwynog did not disregard it was a location with heavy criminal activity, just better hidden than before. They were searching for a gang that was operating outside of Nar Shaddaa but sending drugs and weapons to SJC opponents. Information could be useful on any activity but at the moment it was rumours and suggestions.
They had figured it would be a good idea to bring Aayla in on the mission, test her skills in the field and give her a chance to see how a Shadow works. It was a throw into the deep end and Ilwynog knew that they would not go gentle if she messed up or disobeyed but Ilwynog was curious to see how well she would do. It was clear that Aayla had skills and going slow and gentle was not Ilwynog's style, if she didn't have the powers to keep up with them then Aayla would have to improvise and they were curious to see how well she could improvise. Ilwynog threw the cloak over their armour and lifted the hood over their helmet. Wandering through the slums of Nar Shaddaa, it was a wake up call that the resources of the SJC couldn't always change things that were rotten at the core and Nar Shaddaa was linked to gangs, criminal activity and desperation for eons now.
Reaching the destination, Ilwynog looked around, it was a dark alleyway somewhere off the beaten track. This where they told Aayla to meet them, somewhere out of sight to meet and discuss the plan moving forward. Ilwynog was working on arranging a meeting with some small time criminals that could lead Ilwynog to the bigger criminals, it was a good chance to work with Aayla and test her skills in the field. If she turned up on time, Ilwynog was early so they were frustrated yet but they were keeping an eye on the time.
