In the Harshest Conditions, Blooms a Desert Rose [The Hutt Cartel Dominion of Nar Kreeta]

K20abOm.jpg
Nar Kreeta is a rocky, barren world, located at between Pabol Kreeta and Pabol Sleheyron. Hutts thrive particularly well in the desert, especially with the lack of interplanetary and local authorities. Trade is booming, and Nar Kreeta is an especially popular destination for slavers, since they can do their business – selling to nomadic villages and wealthy merchants alike - and go virtually unnoticed.

The Sempra’s Slave Bazaar takes place in remote corner of Nar Kreeta. This once-a-week auction is a popular destination for all walks of galaxy life, from the business-minded to the nobility.

Objective one
Participate in Sempra’s Slave Bazaar
If you are a slaver, a slave or a buyer, come and peddle your wares, find an owner or purchase slaves. The slaver who sells the slave to the highest bidder will receive a special gift from Princess Thais Kallisto. Spectators and former slaves are welcome here.

Please note: security is extremely tight and there will be no PVP or NPC fighting at this objective.

Objective two
Sunday scum market
On Sunday, the market is our church and we worship the almighty credit! Come to meet other "business" owners and peddle your wares - weapons, spice, stolen speeders, armor, droids, etc. Free refreshments include Hutt bile and fried paddy frogs.

Objective C (PVP encouraged)
Disrupt slavers
While the market has a very tight security around it there are other possibilities to disturb the slavers on Nar Kreta. Rumors about the slave cartel putting up a slave camp on Nar Kreta has turned out to be true. Before they can dig themselves in there is a great opportunity to try and free slaves. Attack the slave camp and set as many slaves free as possible before they get reinforced.

Objective D
Do you own Hutt thing.

He sat there a metallic monstrosity sitting in a high raised chair, a groove carved heavily into its figure almost shaping itself around his body, a sea of vibrant pillows that were so common to these arid environments, he looked so out of place a focal point of the room, like an ugly statue that a friend might give you from an oversea holiday, it drew the eye. He nursed a long bulbous cigar between his metallic digit's, it was cartoonishly long and puffed smoke like a furnace, he couldn't actually smoke but all the same it made him remember.

"Drink." he said a neighbouring slave moved to pour and hand him one, he took it with a careless swipe of his clawed hand it began to crack, a few jagged patterns rose at its rim, he couldn't actually drink it but all the same it made him remember. "More." it began to pool, than overflow before a quick gesture sent it sailing at an adjacent wall, remembering was all fine and good but when it got painful it really miffed his cybernetics, and today he was at a slave auction much like the one that had done this to him in the first place.

It shattered.

Crix was once again none too happy about being dragged out of bed. He really did hate this concept of actually working however since the princess was good enough to allow him to live in her palace and look the other way ,when he needed to behave in an unflattering fashion, he felt he ought to do as he was told at least some of the time. There were worse places to go than a slave auction afterall. That is if you weren't a slave , he supposed it would be quite unpleasant to be auctioned off, although it would be a day off for the slave. Lazy scum that most were.

"one ... two ... three ..." he sighed, before thrusting the slave's head back.

Three missing teeth in a 20 year old slave. That was a bad sign an indicator first and foremost of disease and a diseased slave was a bad slave. The mine demanded only the most capable of slaves and one bad egg could kill the basket. In addition to the risk of disease missing teeth were also highly unattractive and Crix needed attractive things to look at when he couldn't fawn over his Toby. Crix reveloved the slave's head with harsh yanks at it's hair. No other signs of major risk. He tutted.

"Missing teeth are a warning sign majesty" he said to the princess with a sigh "If you are inclined to buy this stock I would advise paying no more than 10,000 or if you are so persuaded to buy only a few individual slaves 100 credits each at most" He might dislike the woman personally but he did still want her to succeed for when she was happy he wasn't pestered all the time. With that extra time he could 'pester' Toby for much longer. HE could also get away with beating a slave or two to death when she was in a good mood. In order to succeed the Princess had to get as many slaves for her money as possible. The gultree now being off limits was a sad blow for her ... although Crix often found them to be much too spiky for his liking, other slaves were far softer and left fewer marks when taken for evening activities .

Thraxis had heard of these markets, a place were the refined traveled only to please their, 'refined' tastes. It was were scum gathered, like Space moths to a flickering light. Thraxis had gone with Flannigan, he knew why the captain was coming down. Though he had his own plans. He had been in the market for a new toy, and he heard rumors of a cheap yet effective gun, the DEMP. A toy that was both capable of paralyzing droids and Cyborgs and hurting Biological menaces.

As he walked the streets he watched as a few of the merchants and children pickpocketing from the naive or drunkards that wandered about. Thraxis looked around at a few wares that some merchants were selling, their lines of trade were used a hundred times to lure people into traps, to buy those precious seconds they would need to catch their prey. Though one of the stores managed to catch Thraxis gaze, a young Twi'lek dressed barley in anything other then a rag of cloth to cover her body. Her voice was young and it easily grabbed any passerby attention. When he looked he saw above her the name of the store was placed, it was old parts of it was falling off, 'Guns and Holes' the name sounded promising enough to pull him towards the shop.

As Thraxis opened the door he saw that already there was a group of people browsing the goods in the shop, lowlifes had there eyes looking on all the expensive guns they could use to blow a hole through anything that crossed their path. Thraxis paid little heed to the gang of thugs and simply walked to the counter his left hand gripping one of his Heavy Blaster Pistols incase any of these thugs wanted to have a new hole blown through their bodies. Thraxis looked to the counter, a small dingy bell sat there and with no one in sight Thraxis rung the bell a few times, peering at all the goods that were present, there was blaster rifles, illegal modifications, anything a good thug would take with him. But nothing of interest. After a few rings a crotchety voice yelled from the back, "Yeah, yeah. Gimme a sec, ill be there in a moment." it bellowed from out the back, and with that Thraxis waited for him to get to the front and deal with his customers as any good salesmen should be doing.

Primarily, Princess Kallisto was in the market for a new handmaiden. Miss Janine, her current handmaiden who also accompanied her to Sempra’s Slave Bazaar, had been in her family since she was a little girl, and it was time that the woman was promoted. Thais wanted to put Janine in charge of her other female attendants, and perhaps, make her an indentured servant. But none of this was said aloud. She preferred to let Miss Janine think she was being replaced, or worse, going to be sent off to a more inhospitable planet.

Also accompanying her was one of her main courtiers and slaver, Crix Meriet. She wasn’t sure if he was selling any of his own slaves at the auction today (certainly not Toby!), but he would provide the expert advice she needed to make a decision. In addition to the purchase of a handmaiden, she needed some additional slaves to work in her mine or to ship off to Musafar or Muunilinst per the terms of some recent contracts and promises.

The Princess thought about disguising herself so she wouldn’t be associated with this unsavory business, but the Nar Kreeta desert was far too hot for masks and cowls. Instead she wore a light-weight, ivory, gown lined with the rare gems from her quarries and Alzoc pearls. Miss Janine held a large parasol over her head to block out the hot sun.

LTpbVavm.jpg

“Of course, Mr. Meriet, I am looking for strong males, impervious to disease to work in the mines,” she said. Thais put a hand on his arm and leaned into his ear. “I’m also looking for a handmaiden. If you see any likely candidates, please let me know. I may need your bargaining skills as well.”

The Princess strolled around the auction site, inspecting the goods as around her the sounds of bartering, whipping and miserable cries were heard.

Objective: D - Erect a Distribution Center

Hegemonic Automaton had its eyes on Nar Kreeta as a potential avenue for expansion for quite some time now. It's position in the sector and status as a major trade world made it a good choice. Then the Hutt Cartel showed up in orbit, and Gerion wondered if he should doubt his choice. In order to properly provide the galaxy with droids, Nar Kreeta would need a distribution center. Whether or not the Hutt Cartel resided on the world was irrelevant. Gerion doubted they would take the time out of their busy schedules of slaving and drug peddling to menace an honest capitalist such as himself.

Probably.

The city of Nihass was located in Nar Kreeta's Eastern Hemisphere. It was a minor, bustling city with a major spaceport. City officials were more than happy to welcome an inter-galactic corporation like Hegemonic Automaton and whatever commerce they brought. The cost to purchase the land and the construction costs of the center paled in comparison to projected profits. As long as that remained true in the following months, everything was going swimmingly. So swimmingly, in fact, that Gerion opted to be present himself to witness the distribution center's construction.

Mythos was fleshing out his final preparations and was eager to step out of Atrisia for one special Mission. Three Hundred of the best Men in the Galaxy were hidden in the Rocky Mountain Range inside Caves on the command of Mythos for a few weeks now. Mythos had begun to appreciate his Commanders. The Bulwark, the Sentinels and the Jar'kai. The Royal Guard of Atrisia. They were unseen and hidden as Mythos had a Small reunion with his Commanders and the Top officers for every Branch of the Guard. "The Mission is simple Gentlemen. Khotaa, you will take the Jar'Kai and Patrol the Sands never to far from the caves, in case you have to pull back in. Rafeesh, you will Take the Bulwark and Scout out the Inside of the Caves and practice what i have taught you, see in darkness. Rex, You will take the Sentinels and round up a scouting mission giving me feed on whatever is around here for a hundred Miles and more. Move like Shadows and Stay out of sight. " Mythos smiled and gave them a wink before he headed outside.

The Desert lands of Nar Kreeta were a lovely thing to behold considering one thing. "Keep an Eye out for Rancors, do Not Kill them if you spot them, i need them alive, you have your orders gentlemen, am i understood?" Mythos relaid the orders as he himself dashed from mountain rock to mountain rock in an effort to get a closer look at what exactly he was protecting and who exactly were the Slavers in question. Good thing that his Men were very, very well trained, he was confident that nothing in this Galaxy could come through those Skies and Blast us to smithereens. "Let's move, scout formations out!"

Mythos had an idea... a crazy yet plausible idea that would need the help of about three hundred Rancors, then, Witches. But for now this was just the first step in a large, very winded road ahead... They needed the Rancors, and they needed Dozens of them, the things were hard to get and harder even to train yet getting them was the first priority. Khotaa, Rafeesh and Colt were bound to have a Training session this day, all three would learn something quite new, Force Powers or just a better lightsaber form? The day could only hold so much, yet things would have to roll by themselves, for now, they had orders... and the Will of Atrisia was keep on handling things personally.

Walking slowly along the area of the stand with wares for sale, Asher eyed things as he went. Nothing was of use, but as of yet he was not looking for a trinket to own, rather to simply take to another stall and sell. With that money, he would make off to the slave sales.

It wasn't likely he could bid on a slave, but he was sure that there would come at least one or two that would be sold without bids. These were ones he sought to proclaim if the Force willed it.

Realizing that the area he was in held little to nothing of actual price value, Asher concentrated on his form. It took a few seconds to feel the tingling, but when he did he softly kicked off the ground. Floating upward like smoke, he sailed high over the roof of the stands, he then re-condenced his form to land on the ground.

Now back to perusing for something to steal...

Toby's jaw set when his beloved Crix was asked to join the Princess that day. There was always something keeping the pair apart since they came to Isis, though he supposed that was just the nature of the world. Never wanting to be too far from his Master, Toby had risen and dressed in a white linen tunic which gracefully flowed over his torso, intended to keep him cool in the desert heat, and some of his usual trousers. There was no need for much else - he knew where they were going. He wanted to appear like neither slave or slaver, although he was the former. It wasn't that Toby cared whether or not people saw him as one, simply that he knew Crix found it upsetting. And an upset Crix often did things he would later regret.

So he had followed his Master, keeping a respectful distance due to the attendance of the Princess, and wistfully wondered what else they might have gotten up to today if not for damn slave markets. He tried his best not to notice the roughness of Crix's touch when it came to the slaves he was browsing, nor the way he seemed to treat them like part of the furniture, but it was difficult to miss. It should've made him feel lucky for having caught the eye of his Master when he did, but Toby found Crix's harsher side a little difficult to stomach at times. But honestly he wouldn't have him any other way. It was that drive, for better or for worse, that kept him going. Overhearing the hushed exchange between Crix and the Princess, though he tensed at the way she leaned into him despite knowing that jealousy would solve nothing, Toby decided he may aswell be useful.

Turning his gaze across the market, away from the slaves intended for labour, Toby spotted another tent which seemed exclusively for the more delicate flowers among the garden, so to speak. Once the Princess was done with her too-close-for-comfort whisperings, the slave neared Crix and gently touched his arm. He tried to keep the gesture modest, who knew who was watching - some slavers did not take well to seeing a slave acting familiar with their Master - and once he had Crix's attention he would tip his head in the direction of the other tent. From what he could see from this distance, the women looked in good shape. Though Toby did not have Crix's eye for detail where such affairs were concerned.

Her work was never done. At least while the Hutt Cartel and it's associates were around. But at least it gave her plenty to do. There was enough going on with the Republic right now that she needed a break from it. And after getting out of the mental institution, she figured that the last place her enemies would think to look would be right in the thick of things again.

Kay landed the small shuttle two kilometres from the slave camp. She saw it from the air, so she knew that that was where it was. Her contacts seemed to have provided her good intel once again. The freighter that she hired was out in orbit, ready to drop down when she needed it. The shuttle was more discreet. Speaking of discreet, she dressed herself in light armour that was more padding than anything, and all of it was the colour of the sands. Over her head she wore a scarf, covering her face with it as well so that only her eyes were visible. Hopefully this will keep her from being noticed so easily.

What was the plan? Rescue the slaves of course! The number of guards she was told was minimum which is never a bad thing for her. She gathered her weapons which consisted of two small blasters and a half dozen thermal detonators, stuffing them into a satchel that wasn't quite the one she usually carried. This one was lighter and smaller.

Once everything was ready, Kay left her shuttle and moved quietly through the dunes towards the slave camp. If she was lucky, she'd get there in a half hour.

Lurch, the tallest of the bunch at a whopping 6'9" arrived with his crew to the Slave Bazaar. They were on the hunt for slaves and all of them looked as though they got up from the wrong side of the bed this morning. A man of few words, he ordered his men to follow as they eyed who was in attendance and the condition of the slaves. Anyone that got in their way was either shoved aside or given a glare of warning.

Soon they started to scope out the slaves that were lined up. They never touched them with anything but the barrel of their rifles. The slaves were nothing but tools after all and some of them appeared to be in bad condition. Which means that they would be cheap to buy. Their boss required that they buy as many as they could, so that was exactly what they were going to do.

After conversing with Crix, the Princess was momentarily distracted by a random merchant who held a falcon on his arm. She stopped to stroke the bird's head, and he allowed her to try on his protective glove. The falcon hopped over to her wrist, and she let out a delighted noise. How she adored animals and birds! So much more loyal than people or the Neskroth government on Isis, she thought. Speaking of loyal...

She turned around to look for Crix and noticed his slave Toby, heading to a tent with some female slaves. She wondered if she should reprimand Mr. Meriet for having his favorite slave just wander around the market randomly, but Thais knew her courtier's fondness for Toby. In fact, it was her absolutely favorite thing to exploit. She thrust the falcon back at it's owner and glided across the sand, so quickly that Miss Janine had to run to keep up behind her.

The Princess was trying to get to Toby before Mr. Meriet could.

"Toby!" she shouted, her voice ringing out across the market. "What did you find there, my dear," she said. "A new handmaiden, perhaps?"

She inspected the line of female slaves - both humans and non-humans - and then went to inquire about their prices with the slaver who was selling them.

Crix nodded "Of course majesty" Crix replied as she leant in close, he could feel Toby getting tense somewhere behind him, He didn't know how he had come to feel it but somehow he did call it love, His lover of course had nothing to be jealous of Crix looked at the princess and only saw a child. "I will seek out likely candidates and have their masters present them at your tent in a few hours" What was his purpose if not to procure good slaves for the Kallisto household? He offered the princess a curt bow as she strolled on. He would no doubt return to her later but for now he would leave her be. If she made any erroneous purchases he could fix it later.

As the princess left he felt Toby's hand brush his arm. His Darling was it seems trying to be subtle but Crix wasn't about to take that. As His slave's hand left his arm Crixs grabbed it in it's own and smiled at his Pride and joy. The opinions of others be damned, he had heavies if anyone had a problem. His smile faded quickly though as , upon consultation with toby's writer, Crix noted something alarming which would be raised as soon as he had bought these slaves. He took his eyes from Toby's with some difficulty and looked back at the slaver "Her Grace has authorised a payment of 7,000 credits for the stock" Crix lied.

The slaver spat "No Tis Pigswill 7,000" Crix would have forgiven that. That was business but the slaver didn't stop there "I take the ladies 7,000 and your man slave, he fetch good price" That much Crix would not forgive, no one talked of his Toby as a commodity, he gave Toby's hand a squeeze then let it drop nodded to the two guards he had curtesy of his royal association and stepped forward. The guards seized the slaver and Crix delivered three stiff punches into the slavers tummy.

"Two thing you are going to do if you still like all your teeth " He raised one finger "First and foremost you are never going to talk of or to Toby without the due deference again, you will not look at him you will not touch him" Then the second finger " second by way of an apology you will take 5,000 and you will take it with a smile then in two hours you will have these slaves present at the Kallisto ship with the appropriate vaccinations " He snatched the slaver by the chin and pulled his face up "Clear?" He asked through gritted teeth "If either of those two conditions are not adhered to the next time you see me I'll be here to take your eyes and your slaves" He turned to the guards "Let him down, if he will take the money, pay him if not put him on a soup diet" He needed to talk to his Toby.

"You Alright Darlin?" Crix asked taking his Toby's Hands back into his own. He hated it when his Darling man was disrespected, Toby was perfect and he deserved to be treated as such. That did not mean however that Crix would forgive him for not looking after himself, Toby didn't have a sun hat and Crix was worried about him. He wasn't angry he was just disappointed, None the less he wasn't going to risk Toby getting sunburnt, so he gave his own hat to Toby, Standing on tiptoes to put the hat on his man's head and kiss the tip of his nose. Then he smiled and flicked the hats brim "Don't come out to the desert with no hat again ... you'll get sore" Crix couldn't stand to risk that happening. Behind him he heard the exchange of coins and a few taunts about wider smiles from his soldiers, that was good he much prefered when things went well. Some cheap labour sourced it was time to set about procuring hand maidens. So with a gentle pull he indicated for toby to lead the way to the tent he'd seen.

"Darlin' If you get Tired, sore or even just want to rest tell me and We'll go back to the tent and I'll have product brought to me for assessment there" He could be just as persuasive lay on a mountain of cushions as he could be stood at a slavers bazaar. In fact if it didn't risk him missing diamonds in the ruff that would be how he would do all his buying. On the way over to the "Flower' stall Crix caught sight of his own family bazaar, his cousins seemed to be handling things to an acceptable standard and monthly profit reports all came out good.

Rafeesh nodded, "Yes." He turned on his heel and began walking towards the cave. He waved the Bulwarks over to him. "You men follow me." He was glad to see that they didn't ask questions. He didn't want to speak more than necessary, didn't want his emotions to be possibly revealed. He didn't particularly like the idea of slaves, there wasn't anything wrong with it, but Rafeesh had always thought that they were a very inefficient form of workers. He wouldn't complain or say that to anyone of course, Sith wouldn't have cared and it would only have hurt his reputation with his master.

The caves were very extensive, he had done a bit of studying before arriving on planet. It would be an interesting training, his ability to see through the Force was still somewhat shaky and it would need refinement. This was a perfect place for it, and he could train the Bulwarks in it as well. Perhaps that would please his master. In pleasing his master the man would teach Rafeesh more and then Rafeesh would teach it to his master's men and that would please his master. It was a circle of power that would continue until someone broke it. Rafeesh had no intention of breaking it yet, he needed to become stronger. One day he might break free of his chains and become a powerful Sith that could hold his own, but until then he was nothing more than a lackey.

It was a short walk to the cave and Rafeesh spoke over his comm before walking in, "Master, we have made it to the cave." He closed his eyes and focused. He allowed himself to slip into the Force and then put his mind to seeing through the Force. It was easier than last time, he knew what he was doing at least. He tried walking and found that it was relatively easy, but he could feel his strength being drained by it. However, the only way to become stronger was to push past barriers. He wanted to get comfortable with this before he taught the men, after all if the leader was uncertain then the followers would not be strong.

Almost as soon as Toby had finished informing Crix of the other stall he was jumped by the Princess. His eyes widened though he immediately averted his gaze in humble modesty and respect. She was his Master's employer, it would not do to misbehave or show him up especially not to the likes of her. The way she asked him seemed as though she expected an answer, did this crystal princess not realise that he was unable to speak? That had him frowning for but a moment. It was no surprise that it had yet to come up in conversation, of course.

Instead the slave nodded his head in acknowledgement and affirmation and politely gestured to the stall he was about to take Crix to - when the man was finished with the current Slaver, of course. The woman seemed eager to scour the lines herself, leaving Toby in an awkward situation. Did he stand alongside Crix as he finalized his deal, or did he go with the Lady and ensure that no ill came to her? As he stood there in contemplation he heard himself referenced and cringed slightly. He knew it was not the Slaver's fault for believing Toby was little more than a commodity which could be passed between hands, but Crix had an ill temper and was severely protective of his lover.

Squeezing Crix's hand, Toby made the executive decision not to get involved in Crix's scheme to get slaves at a lower price and make the man pay for his insolence. He leaned his head down to his Master's shoulder, nuzzling softly, before parting ways to allow him to... Do what he did. Instead Toby caught up with the Princess, who was busy eyeing up potential handmaidens. Toby may not have been a learned man, though he had been permitted to learn to read once Crix had solidified him as his own, but he knew a thing of two about good slaves, he could spot them a mile away. The issue was how to get the Lady's attention without seeming out of place. He could not speak, after all.

Instead Toby very slightly touched the woman's shoulder, keeping his gaze downcast and his hand as soft as could be - barely a brush of contact. He could not overstep any lines here. Hopefully she would soon come to realise that he could not speak! Then he gestured to the girls who had been kept back, not presently on the line. Slavers did not want some of their more prized possessions to go right away, as it left them with poor stock at the end of the day. There were two in particular who looked well suited to the job, and Toby subtly pointed them out from his vantage point. Not once did he look at the Princess, though he did hope he had her attention if only for the second he was gesturing.

And then all at once he felt himself relax, as Crix's voice rang through the noise of the crowd and his hand latched onto his own. Toby gave it a tender squeeze and turned his gaze down to Crix, with a smile that could melt glaciers. He leaned down and planted his lips to Crix's brow, he could not help himself, his Master looked dazzling in the light of the sun. He seemed unimpressed with Toby's attire, but the feel of his lips against the tip of his nose, and the way he doted over him, made the disappointment worth while. Though Toby did not appreciate the fact that he was made to wear the hat from Crix's own head. Not where others could see.

Nodding his head to what Crix said, concerning leaving should he wish it, Toby gestured to the Princess and began to walk forward... Before remembering himself. It was best if Crix led the way, this place did not seem too kind toward slaves and he didn't want Crix to have to do anything unfortunate to other Slavers. As he walked past some of the more miscellaneous stalls at the bazaar, however, Toby swiped a hat and settled it upon Crix's head. If he could not be caught out under the sun without, then neither could his Master! He just hoped that no one had seen him take it, then he'd have something to really answer for!

The bazaar led on in curtained sections of room, thin and thick velvet curtains hung from doorways, revealing sights of pleasure and woe, allowing a free flowing circulation of air into these curtained off rooms, at the end was a large room with a thick panelled terminal and mounds of cousins and plates delicacies, various servants or slaves tended the room. And there lounging as much as one can a large figure sat, sharp geometric lines and shapes permitted his form and gave a impression not all unlike a living rock, but a rock that could look angry.
"Sit, pull up a pillow."

"Step right up, folks! Many slaves of many species!"

Darkgear was screaming from the top of a crate je was standing on, looking quite insane in his turban and loose clothing. Vinskk cackled at the sight. That Human is hilarious, he thought. Free-Eyes, on the other hand, was dour. He didn't have the stomach for slave auctions, especially not one of this magnitude.

Vinskk had really outdone himself today. He had quite the surplus of both domestic and exotic sentients and creatures, from everyday humans, Twileks, Wookiees, to even a little, pissed off Ewok that hadn't stopped cursing at them since the slavers had picked him up. They were all in separate cages, bunched with those of their species, eyes downcast, defeated. There was a story each one of them had of the horrors they had to endure, their capture, their lives.

Vinskk didn't care.

"Water...please, Master...", croaked a parched human to Vinskk. The Trandoshan looked at him, regarding him for a moment before spitting, thd saliva landing right onto his face.

Free-Eyes grimaced at this while Darkgear laughed.

"What a lovely day!"

The buyers were flocking over now, slaver soldiers bidding wares off. Only the exotic ones would go through the big Trandoshan himself. For now he was content overlooking the entire operation. He didn't mind the sight, sound, or smell. The chorus of moans was like music to his ears.

"What a lovely day!"

They were getting sold fairly quick now, at least the standard ones, the Humans, cheap Twileks. Potential customers would have someone or two separate the cargo from the others and examine it firsthand before buying. He wasn't concerned about that. Vinskk had a reputation of carrying only the finest quality of slave, and he held up to it, evident by the pleased look in the buyers' eyes.

"What a lovely day!"

Darkgear's cries were really starting to attract some people to the large area reserved for Vinskk. It was only a matter of time till a big buyer came through...

Princess Kallisto had no idea that Toby was truly mute. She had never been told and just assumed he was being appropriately quiet as a slave should. So it was likely she would just prattle on to the young slave until she was informed otherwise.

She felt the touch of his fingers on her shoulders and turned around. Unlike Crix Meriet, Princess Kallisto wasn't a cruel master. Yes, she had her moments of impatience and anger, but she wasn't one to mistreat the slaves. She had hit Napo on occasion, but his crystal face ensured that her hand might come back with a cut or two if she struck him. As he pointed in the direction of the more expensive slaves, she peered into the gloom of the tent.

Suddenly two things happened. Crix Meriet had caught up with them. Good, she needed him now to help her barter on prices. She would ignore the moony eyes he and Toby were giving each other. But secondly, a bedraggled-looking, near-human with a missing eye faced the three of them with an invitation to the "Captain's Lounge." This sounds rather nice, thought Thais, not realizing anything was wrong and thinking the Captain's Lounge was some kind of tent where they could get refreshments.

"This is very good timing, Sir. I could do with a drink or two," she said.

The Princess barely waited for Mr. Meriet and Toby. She followed this mysterious being into a series of curtained tents. She was a little more apprehensive now as she went further into the tents, unsure of the sights and sounds around her. She only now looked back at her courtier and his mute slave with a questioning glance.

"Come, Mr. Meriet. You go first," Thais murmured nervously, pushing him forward.

Volo lean's on the wall close to Flannigan watching over him as his hired body guard. His face covered by the mask to hide his Identity so he isn't shot in the back during jobs such as this. He wore Ubese raider armor with long robes and a cloak as suited to the armor, with two LL-30 pistol's on each of his thigh's along with a Vibro short blade (Citosis weaved supplied by Tazi's machines) sheathed across his back.

Volo stood there arm's crossed watching over Flannigan, watching what he is going to be paid to protect.

Well that was easy. Maybe too easy. Kay began to circle the slave camp from half a kilometre away. Her clothing must really be working at not making her stand out in the sand, but become a part of it. Good.

She scoped out the guards to which there were few. Even the walls were but cheap metals and fencing. Many of the slaves inside could be seen. They seemed all right. But there wasn't much fight in them that she could tell.

Kay then turned around and started tracing large arrows in the sand pointing in the direction of her shuttle. As each one of the three arrows were finished, she would move closer to the slave camp until she was just a few hundred feet away. That should be good. On her way to the slave camp she brought out one of the thermal detonators and set the timer for five minutes. She tucked it under her arm and brought out another, again setting the timer for the same time. The guards appeared to be bored out of their minds and just watching either the slaves or holovids. Quietly Kay approached one of the sheet metal walls and placed the detonators six feet apart. They clung to the metal well. Then she turned and walked quickly back the way that she came, drawing out one of the blasters and keeping it in front of her. Running attracts attention and she wanted to be a good distance out before the explosions happened and she was noticed.

Kay made it over the first dune, turned just at the crest of it and lay down in the sand to watch.

Lurch and his crew approached [member="Vinskk Revamp"] and his helpers as the calling out of Darkgear caught their attention. By now people were giving the black clad men a wide berth. These men were tall, the shortest among them being 6'3". But Lurch of course was the ring leader.

He focused on Vinskk right away and when he spoke in basic, his voice was deep and resonated as such a voice from a giant of a man should, "How much?" He ignored the other two. Lurch just wanted to barter with the man in charge. He waved a hand toward the cages to indicate that he wasn't just interested in one slave, but many.
