In The Dark Of The Night

[member="Nyx Tempest"]

Vallory had heard rumor of another of her kind from a nearby system. She had put a lot of thought into it. It had been so long since she last connected with one of her own, and she wondered if it was worth the risk. For now, she was in hiding, still believing that she could be hunted at any point. Vallory was always looking behind her back. But, eventually she decided to reach out and attempt to contact them. She offered to meet them in a public place, hopefully that would put them at ease.

Vallory sat in the diner, legs crossed at her table while she watched the entry to the diner. They would come by soon, no doubt, or so she hoped. What if they did not come? What if someone else came in their stead, someone looking for her? These thoughts ran through her head, and had her worried greatly.

Nyx having been contacted by one of her own kind was shaken, that had never happened since she left home, so she jumped at the chance to meet the new person, she would arrive at the location specified to her in the message, she would right away see the girl sitting there waiting, she herself was dressed in all black pants, combat boots and a hoodie she walked up and said "hi"

Vallory saw someone come in, and studied them. As they approached her, she immediately knew and waved a hand at the spare seat. "Hello. Take a seat, if you will" she said, giving a gentle smile to her. She seemed to hold the looks of many others of their kind, and she couldn't help thinking on that a little too much. "The waiter should be around sometime...but mainly, I just wanted to talk" she began, offering a sigh after.

"It has been too long, meeting one of my kind. I have been keeping to myself mostly due to...recent events." A lot had happened to make her wish to keep herself hidden from the galaxy around them, staying to the shadows.

Nyx took a seat smiling, she listened with intesity, as she always did, as the girl began to talk she thought upon her own life, it had been a rush as the girl finished she spoke "I am in the same boat as you, I have not spoken to one of our kind in years"

Vallory kept a gentle smile. So Nyx had not spoken to one of their own kind for some time either...but why could that be? Vallory had her reasons, but perhaps something was happening with the houses of their culture. Not that she knew, she had strayed from that path. "Yes, no doubt has made you quite lonely and left out, no doubt?" She asked that cause she had felt the same. "How have you managed, out there in the galaxy?" Now acting as if they were old friends.

Nyx noted the gentleness in Vallory's voice, it was nice to be talked to as if you were an old friend. She hadn't had many friends since she abandoned the path, something seemed off to her "I have been bouncing around from place to place trying to find acceptance and havent found it yet"

"I was once the same. Then found a master, a calling...and more" she flushed slightly at mentioning the more part. There was much out there in the galaxy, Vallory just got lucky with where she placed among it all. "I am sure you will find a place, out there. It will take time, but you will surely find a place to call home." Vallory through all her years had learned to keep a level head, and keep on searching. And if she could help the woman before her do this as well, then she would.

"I forgot to mention my name, didn't I? Vallory" she introduced herself then put a hand out.

Vallory shook gently back, trying not to have her hand too tense as she did so. "So, Nyx. Where do you see yourself, in the future? I want to help you get there. In any way I can" she offered, sitting back in her chair. And still the waiter had not come by...it did not matter too much, Vallory came here for a meeting. Not to eat.

Vallory's smile tightened. "I did...bad things to keep with that. But my master helps now...donations, one could say" she sighed a bit. Remembering her life before her master, before she joined the Sith. Sneaking and thieving. Going out with partners only to deal with her hunger, and then leave them there. She had been a killer.

"You need to find someone who can help you with that...I am not sure my master would help someone besides me."

Vallory blushed, but only for a short moment. Then reached her hand across the table. "Many have, before...but I could say the same" she managed a smile, but this one was a lot warmer of a smaller and with perhaps devious intentions, a glint in her violet eyes. "So tell me, who is this...someone." As she held out her open hand, across the table. In a way, she had hoped the conversation might go this way. A small part of her heart, at least.

"It is a master of sorts, she is helping me to channel my hunger into something great, to channel above passion" The small girl said blushing a bit, she would reach forward and rest her hand on the other girl's

Vallory was a bit surprised by this. "A...master you say? Who is this master?" Vallory asked, most curious to know who they were. She curled her fingers over her hand, holding it in her own. It felt good, to hold another's hand even if it had not been too long since having done so. But, she worried. How it was described, this master. It worried her.

Vallory's hand tensed as soon as she heard that. Darth. Sith. She tried not to show it, her resentment towards Sith. But her hand tensing, and a slight twitch in her smile were tell tale signs of something. "I..." And that was the nail, those next few words. She had no idea what she was to do...

"It has been too long...with another of my own kind. Many rather us to hide in the shadows, but among our own..." She didn't even know what she was saying anymore, and sighed. "I like you too." And just saying those words, she felt that she was betraying her own master, who resented Sith even more.

Vallory glanced away, trying to mask her emotions. And she did, putting back on a smile. "It is nothing, a simple doubt is all. This master, they treat you well?" she asked, her hand once more loosening it's grip. That was what she wanted to know for now, if at least they were being taken care of unlike she had been.
