Who is Flag Captain Drudroga? What's a Flag Captain? What is the Freesail Admirality?

I will answer the third question first by quoting the Faction Owner, Laulesh from his earlier post:

My plans for the minor faction is to create a dedicated group of writers who enjoy fleet combat, starfighters, and the special diplomacy & needs that come along with that kind of story. There is more listed detail about my aspirations on the 'About' section of the faction page. With sufficient care I believe this group could become a welcome addition to a multitude of threads. From minor-minor skirmishes, invitations to major faction storylines, to participation in annihilations even. Really the sky is the limit with this genre.

Underlining all of these goals and hopes though is high quality cooperative storytelling and building on the personal relationships of characters within the faction with one another. A firm core group, even if only a handful of individuals, can really portray some amazing scenes.

What is a Flag Captain?

The Freesail Admirality's hierachy is as follows:

• Admiral - Faction Owner
• Flag Captain
• Freesail Captain
• Freesailor

To quote the Minor Faction Page (Definitions are WIP):

Flag Captain: An elevated Freesail Captain who stands above all lower ranks and ratings. They are granted enormous autonomy and responsibility. They are able to offer policies and actions to a vote among the other Flag Captains. These individuals are granted the use of some of the largest ships in the entire fleet. Individualistic, ambitious, and competitive in many ways they are ultimately united in their loyalty to the Admiralty. Flag Captains are nominated by their potential peers the sitting Flag Captains. Prospective Flag Captains are approved or dismissed by the Admiral.

Who is Barin Drudroga?

Barin Drudroga is an imperious, prideful, and calculated captain of the Horizon's Call and a modest fleet of frigates and corvettes within the Freesail Admirality. Do you wish to be recognized for cunning and competence and see those who are not be trampled beneath your feet? Do you wish to be used as a cog in the machine or perhaps try your hand at organically earning accolades and in the process earning the favor of harsh but fair master?

Are you novice spacer? A conscripted wretch? Perhaps you fancy yourself an ace starfighter pilot or competent specialist? Do you see yourself as loyal second in command or maybe an ambitious captain of your own ship of the line in the service of Flag Captain Drudroga?

If you're interested in joining a crew under Flag Captain Barin Drudroga as any of the aforementioned or a role not yet discussed, then respond below. The Freesail Admirality is still a work in progress and has not yet officially launched yet. We do have a discord that you can access through the minor faction page.

While Flag Captain Drudroga is a demanding taskmaster, I am not. I will work with you to write the stories that we find mutually beneficial and if our characters are simply incompatible, then there are stories to made about such outcomes as well! The Admirality is not devoid of conflicting captains.

Tera Highwind I'm glad that the idea has some appeal! A Captain's orders can only be improved by quality intel and veterans within their ranks.
