Imperial Musings

If you closed your eyes and just listened then you could hear the sound of the waterfalls that lay scattered around the grounds of the Imperial Palace. With the sun beating down on your face, and the cool touch of the breeze playing across the grass. The young woman had her fingers entwined together, resting on the surface of the table, one finger tapping against the back of her hand as she tilted her head up, her eyelids glowing under the touch of the sun.

It was times like this that she just enjoyed doing nothing, curling up in a chair in the sun and reading, or just taking a nap. Only, today wasn't a day for napping, for relaxing, today was the day a delegation from another planet was due at the palace. It also just happened to be the day when there was absolutely no-one else here. Marcus was out training with the guard, the Emperor and Empress were out at the opening of a hospital leaving her here to meet the delegation from Commenor. Her first time out flying solo...well this was gonna be exciting.

Lori's arrival was met with a bit of fanfare. Nothing big outside guards and some members of the house staff. This was her first venture of any kind of a diplomatic sort. Given that she was a Princess and could possibly become Queen some day, she had to have at least SOME experience. Her Dad wanted her to focus more on being a Jedi. Yet at the moment, she was trying to figure out where she fit in. And you won't know until you try, right?

Renla came with her. She had to have some company, right? The Azure Empire seemed to be safe enough. They weren't Sith, so the opportunity for new friends for Commenor was always good.

The Princess kept a grin on her face as she strolled through an escorted tour of the Imperial Palace. It was fascinating and different from the Royal Palace at home. Just who she was supposed to talk to, she didn't know. But hopefully it was someone nice.

And that was when she spotted [member="Lunara Azure"] sitting at a table. Was she who they were supposed to meet? Lori smiled to her and waved. "Hello there."

Renla Skirae had met with the Azure Imperium before, even set up with them. They had cared for her since she ended up in their territory, in a bad state. With her was the hound, but it was kept on passive. Rexy kept up pace with them. As they approached the table, she smiled to Lunara yet said nothing. She had not mentioned being with Azure, thinking it would be a funny surprise to her friend. The Twi'lek glanced to Loreena as she sat down, giving a greeting.

Renla gave a respected bow to Lunara in her own greeting. Then took a seat of her own. Rexy came to her side, sitting down like a dog would.

The force was a great tool, it made it almost impossible for someone to sneak up on you and surprise you...when you were focusing. Unfortunately, staying focused in the mid-afternoon sun in the middle of the palace grounds didn't appear to be one of Lunara's strengths. The temptation to just let her mind drift had been too strong, after all her guest wasn't due there just yet right? Or, well, maybe she was. What had started out as relaxing had turned into daydreaming and she might have actually nodded of for a moment because all of a sudden, she was hearing voices, footsteps approaching her.

The young woman barely managed to stop herself jumping out of her seat as her eyes flicked open, blue orbs staring at the others, dancing between them for a moment. "Ah right...Loreena Arenais right?" Luna pushed herself upright in her seat, waving a hand at the unoccupied chair as a wry smile just touched her lips. "I'm sorry, I thought it'd be nicer to meet out here than in some room somewhere...only it was a lot more relaxing out here than I thought. We should really have a gazebo and a swinging chair built out here."

Lori almost snickered as [member="Lunara Azure"] seemed startled by her arrival. ALMOST. Instead she just kept her smile and took her seat.

"Yeah that's me. And I like it outside. Inside can get stuffy sometimes. You have a really neat home. It's different than both of mine on Commenor. I've travelled some, so it's not like I'm sheltered or anything. But still...never been to a place like this. What do you do for fun? Are you a pilot? Do you have any pets? Siblings? What are your parents like?" Questions just poured out of her. It was a sign of her nervousness. Probably the only sign that anyone would see too.

She glanced over to [member="Renla Skirae"] and her own pet, before turning her attenion back to Lunara.

Renla Skirae smirked a bit at the reaction, giggling under her breath even. Rexy remained quiet, a silent ever watcher. Sometimes still the robotic hound unnerved her. But this time she mainly focused on the others at the table. And just like she recalled from that time she and her father, Darben, had babysat for Lady Kay, [member="Loreena Arenais"] was asking a million questions. "Loreena, calm down a bit on the questions" she laughed even if it sounded a little robotic, looking to [member="Lunara Azure"]. Still she did not let on that she knew Loreena.

However, she went quiet after that, keeping her gaze upon Lunara as she waited for the answers to at least be answered. In truth, she did not fully know her either. And now, the Twi'lek was eager to learn more, propping up her elbows upon the table.
