OPERATIONS INFORMATION

  • Specialty: N/A
  • Output: Medium Output. Nowhere near an actual shipyard as most of the work done in holdfasts are repairs and refueling.

POINTS OF INTEREST
  • The Spire - The main hub of of any holdfast. The spire was a massive communications spike with a central hub that served as the dedicated HQ for FLEETCOM in the sector or group of systems the holdfast was dedicated to. A series of com dishes sprouted around it and above it giving the station the look of a blooming flower. In this case, The Spire was a secondary HQ for FLEETCOM due to Iron Shaper's proximity to Imperial Center.
  • Dreadnought Dock - The one and only dock dedicated to housing Imperial Dreadnoughts, it wasn't quite large enough and could usually only hold at most 3/4 of a full-sized Imperial Dreadnought's front.
  • The COMPNOR Post - The Post was disguised as a center for Imperial leisure including a bar, several shops, and a holotheatre. Named The Post on official onboard maps and in COMPNOR records, the area was under heavy surveillance as a place where troopers and officers were expected to be more lax. Behind closed doors, there were dozens of data banks, terminals, and rooms for COMPNOR agents. It was connected to several common corridors throughout the station for COMPNOR agents to enter the network of rooms on the station.

SECURITY
Maximum
- Constructed over the penal colony of Horuz and being the holdfast of Oversector I, it was one of the most heavily defended holdfasts in the Empire.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Imperial Holdfast. They were massive deep dock facilities originally intended to supplement the construction power of Kuat-Entralla's efforts in creating the basis for the New Imperial Order's new war machine. However, after the death of Emperor Irveric Tavlar, the heir to the burgeoning empire began to consolidate power. Warlords were slowly done away with and oversectors designated. Fleets were reorganized and legions of Stormtroopers were shifted. The Imperial Holdfast was another way of bringing power closer to the throne. Changed from simple deep dock facilities, the Imperial Holdfasts were equipped with powerful long-range communications equipment patrol hangars, and the number of docks was tripped making the simple repair docks into massive logistical hubs for what was to be Fel's new Empire. A single Imperial Holdfast could service an entire oversector, providing dedicated servicing docks, mandated check-ins for the Empire's patrol and local roving fleets, a local FLEETCOM base, and a universal central order processing location. With these he planned to keep careful eyes on his Moffs and Grand Moffs, forcing them all to go through the Holdfast for most of their fleets' needs. They were also meant as heavily defensible locations should the Empire come under attack from without, or if Rurik's hunches and information proved correct, within.

Unfortunately, he would not live to see the glory of his own Empire, but the Holdfasts were complete, one for each Oversector. The new Lord Regent has seen fit to retain the services of the Holdfasts. Iron Shaper, the Holdfast for Oversector I, was constructed over the penal colony of Horuz. Political prisoners, murderers, rebels, and Sith sympathizers were gathered there, forced to work the mines and the debris of old Horuz where the materials would then be shipped to Iron Shaper for processing and use in maintaining the fleets of the Empire. This near-constant stream of resources made Iron Shaper one of the more productive holdfasts in the Empire and one of the most active.
