SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Imperial Dawn Domicile.
  • Classification: Orphanage.
  • Location: Bastion, Dromund Kaas, Mandalore/Moridinae, Concord Dawn, Gala, Jabiim, Mygeeto, Lorrd, Ession, Scipio.
  • Affiliation: The Sith Empire, Sith-Imperial Mission.
  • Accessibility: These orphanages are easily accessed, though considered private to protect the children inside. The Mandalore/Moridinae location has heightened security.
  • Description: A Domicile may vary from planet to planet as it follows local architectural customs, however, there are some common features that bind the different buildings together. All Domiciles are placed within a square fence of black metal (With the exception of Moridinae which has solid walls). Inside this fence is one, large T shaped structure with the bottom of the T facing the direction of the sunrise. There is a separate school building which is typically taller, but covers less area. The main entry through the outer perimeter is through an arched gate, which is watched by security. That gate leads to a straight path, through a garden to the front of the building, which is the bottom of the T shape. There, one would find a pair of black doors, topped with a polished sun of gold-like material. On either side of the building and reaching to the back, there are gardens and play-areas as appropriate to the area. Some domiciles have greenhouses on their ceilings for educational and recreational practises. Inside, the Domicile is not lavish, but comfortable. It is also decorated with a mixture of local and Imperial art, made to inspire a loyalty that is innately tied to one's own identity.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Dormitories: This is where the students sleep. Unlike what one might expect, the inhabitants are provided with good sleeping quarters. Two and two students share a room, with senior students being afforded solo rooms to prepare them for life outside of the Domicile. Four rooms of students share bathrooms and showers, while the solo rooms have their own.
  • Nursery: The very youngest live in a communal nursery, where six children sleep in one room, with nurses rotating in attendance. This is to make sure they have what they need at any time.
  • Mess hall: This is the room where most of the students eat. Some meals are eaten in smaller bulks, but dinner is eaten with a full hall, and the inhabitants are often grouped by age. Children with special needs, and who have social difficulties, are provided with alternative seating and aid. During dinner, the master and the core staff are also present in the mess hall, eating from their own table at the head of the room.
  • Theatre: A theatre that displays holos, affords a space to give messages, and hosts shows that are hired in or put on by the children.
  • Playground: Outside and inside, there are playgrounds, built to afford some separation of age groups.
  • Faculty Dorms: This is where staff sleeps, be they teachers, nurses, security or otherwise.
  • Master's Domicile: The Master of the Domicile has their own study and connected sleeping quarters, not lavish, but given a standard that affords them the gravity they are owed. All of these studies feature a large image of the Sith Emperor and at least one artwork of other person who has helped sponsor the location.
  • School: In a separate structure from the rest, the inhabitants are given a formal, albeit basic, education that should give them a chance at becoming honest citizens of the Sith Empire.
SECURITY
  • Security: Low, (Mandalore: Medium)
  • Defences: The primary defence of the Domicile is a tall fence of black iron bars. On the Mandalore location, the fence is replaced with a solid wall. Most locations have a pair of security cameras covering the entrance from different angles. However, on Mandalore, the location has a greater scope of external surveillance to secure the inhabitants from outside threats. All Domiciles have a rotation of watchmen, ensuring one individual is there and in charge of security at all times. The Mandalore location has half a dozen armed guards present, and under strict orders not to antagonise the children. They are there to protect from outside threats.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Sith-Imperial Mission exists to show a gentler, more caring side of the Sith Empire. One of their tools are orphanages, which nurture young minds of those with less fortunate beginnings into honest and productive Sith-Imperial citizens. This particular series of orphanages were opened in the name of the Zambrano dynasty, with notable support from a influential Sith, industrialists, and politicians from every corner of the Empire.

The first two Domiciles were established on Dromund Kaas and Bastion as orphanages for children left behind by fallen Imperial Legionnaires. As the houses expanded and attracted greater media attention, they at last saw fit to expand beyond the co-capitals and provide more direct support to the fallen on war torn planets, such as Ession, who once harboured enemies of the Sith Empire, and the scenes of the Moridinae Crusades, Concord Dawn, and Moridinae (Formerly known as Mandalore). Later, the Domiciles also reached out to Jabiim, Gala, Mygeeto, and Scipio, at the front lines of the Empire.

The Imperial Dawn Domiciles are peaceful settlements removed from danger and hunger, where food is regularly delivered and the children are taught the history of their people (Or a pro-imperial version thereof), and the history of the Empire (As a benign conqueror), as well as the skills they require to live and work within the safety and stability of the Empire. Many children who graduate from the Imperial Dawn Domiciles enlist in the Imperial Armed Forces or work within the Sith Empire's bureaucracy, while others go on to work in the private sector. For many children, these orphanages are their best bet to becoming fully fledged Imperial Citizens.

While most are indeed peaceful and require little security, the Domicile on Moridinae received such threats during its early construction that it was built with extra security to protect the children inside. The Moridinae Domicile teaches an especially imperial-bent version of Mandalorian culture in an attempt at finally integrating them into the Imperial fold.

In order to supply the Sith Empire with strong force users, the Domiciles are sworn to surrender any information regarding force sensitive children and force users they come across to the Empire. From there, they are given the best possible introduction to the academies that will shape their life from that point on, and perhaps, turn them into the future leaders of the Empire.

If a Domicile is provided with substantial enough donations a Domicile may be named after an individual. For example, the Bastion Domicile is named after the Sith Emperor, Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex . The Dromund Kaas Domicile is named after, and given expanded learning materials by a benefactor and Triumvir of Power, AMCO AMCO . Meanwhile, Joycelyn Zambrano personally sponsored and opened the Domicile on Concord Dawn, which is thus named after her. Cara Dorniarn Cara Dorniarn , ever a benefactor of progress, sponsored the Moridinae location. The Imperial Mission are always seeking to provide support to more worlds throughout the Empire and is equally always looking for sponsors.
